Ordered food online through them yesterday, we put in special requests for no sour cream on enchiladas, no cheese on the two chicken tacos and no lettuce and tomato on the other two chicken tacos. All of which had all ingredients on. The modifications are a matter of not adding ingredients, not asking for too much. A fast food restaurant can comprehend better. Our food was also cold. When we called the restaurant they not only didn’t take responsibility, the woman on the phone told us “to just pick the lettuce off.” So unprofessional, we are paying full price for the food and the point is that NONE of it is how we ordered it. The staff is Incompetent to say the least. We have ordered from them multiple times and they have lost another group of customers. will not recommend.

What. A. Gem. This neighborhood hole-in-the-wall offers some classics but also items that you don’t see everywhere. The mole was more savory than sweet, which I loved! Can not wait to go back again soon!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Madison. Their steak chimichanga is to die for. Best I’ve ever had. Tamales, quesadillas, tacos, horchata. Everything is delicious! Great salsa, guacamole, and chips as well. Awesome soups. I haven’t had anything I don’t like. Highly recommend. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

Admittedly it has been awhile since dining here but it did not disappoint. We went with a bit of a brunch featuring Huevos a la Mexicana, Pollo en Mole, and Platillo mi Rancho. Delicious.

It is a quaint restaurant with limited seating. The prices are the lowest around for a sit-in restaurant. The service is slow but the servers are very friendly. The food comes out extremely fast and tasted great. Very casual place with delicious Mexican food. Pictured is the 'Quesadilla Mexicana.'

This one has been sitting in my “places to try” list for quite a while. Coming into Madison today and looking for a place where I could eat a little bit earlier, I decided to give it a try. They open at 10 AM during the week. I had the burrito Mexicano with pork, and it was pretty good. The hot sauce that they bring to the table in a red bottle is excellent. The salsa was pretty good. I added rice and beans on but probably wouldn’t if doing it again. I would come back if someone suggested we eat here when weighing options.

There is a reason why this restaurant is constantly voted one of the best in Madison. It's a bare-bones "hole in the wall" place with a space in the back for larger parties but it is the real deal - an authentic Mexican joint, the kind of place you'd find in Texas, not Americanized and everything on their menu is superb. My favorite taco place by far.

Just what I wanted. Great authentic Mexican, but also just a simple steak burrito or taco too! I wish I had a place like this in Louisville. Good people, great food, great service. They serve beer too. You won't be disappointed.

Ordered 3 pastor, 3 carne asada. I received 6 carne asada and 0 pastor. After cooking marinated meats at my job all day I was in the mood for pastor. Tortillas we’re not authentic, or flavorful. They were almost a chore to eat. Meat wasn’t very flavorful. Sauces were okay at best. Limes basically hidden under the tacos. I moved to Madison last September. I’ve been somewhat let down by the independently operated food establishments in the area. I have tried this restaurant once before and had a similar experience. I wanted to give them another shot, as I’ve heard it recommended multiple times. I’ve lived and eaten tacos throughout Phoenix, Texas, Cali, etc. I’ve worked with authentic Mexican chefs from Oaxaca, Jalisco, Puebla, Sonora, etc. I’ve traveled the states for food. I think Taqueria Guadalajara has potential. They just need to figure out the logistics, and to not sell steak tacos as pastor.

We ordered tacos and tortas for last-minute dinner. We came across this Mexican restaurant. The food was good overall. They just needed a better salsa for their chips and food. Typically, restaurants have a hot or mild sauce for tacos/tortas, and they didn't have any. Luckily, the waiter said he had made some hot salsa from home, and we gave it a try. They add 20% gratuity automatically for parties of 5 or more. No parking, you need to park on side streets.

Such a great place for tacos!! I've never dined in but the take out is super quick and affordable. Staff are always super busy but also always super kind! If you can't reach them by phone they are probably swamped so just stop by!

We came here per recommendation of our Mexican friends who claimed that this place had the most authentic Mexican food in town. The food was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is nice with musics in the back and lots of decorations. Service might be a little slower when during busy hours.

I wanted to really like this place, but the food was very bland and the steak had no flavor and the pork no flavor and lots of fat. They do serve beer!

Quick and delicious. Small dining area but they turn tables quickly. Not the kind of place to chill after dinner. Get in get out but it is very good.

Awesome place! Very simple, their home made chips are the best. There are not many places that serve menudo but here they do it on weekends, and it's amazing!

Consistently yummy and filling, Taqueria Guadalajara is one of my favorite places to go when I’m craving some good Mexican food. My dad consistently comes back for their lengua burritos and my entire family loves their menudo. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the options they provide. Their veggie burrito is good, but I recently decided to go back to a classic childhood favorite in the form of their quesadilla de rajas and was NOT disappointed. It was bursting with flavor and came with a bunch of yummy fixings, some that weren’t even listed as included, which was a nice surprise. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for yummy local food.

I ordered a carne asada burrito without the addition of the rice and beans. I tried to ask the hostess if that comes on the side or in the burrito and as it comes on the side, I was not interested. I prefer my ride and beans IN the burrito. The burrito was made quickly, but I was unfortunately not satisfied with the taste. The carne was pretty flavorless and the burrito was only filled with just lettuce and carne. I didn't taste any cheese or any other fillings in it (but I may be wrong). As a whole, the flavor of the burrito reminded me of a taco I'd get at taco bell or jack in the box. When I first ordered, I did ask the hostess for a recommendation and she recommended me a dish that wasn't the burrito- it may have been on me for ordering the wrong thing. But ultimately, I would not come here again given the flavor/taste of what I ordered.
