2022-08-21 Ave María is a restaurant that promises a lot from the outside, but it doesn't deliver on the promise. The menú is mediocre, the food as well, the prices are too high for the offer. The service is not great: Waiters continuously forget what you order and then you have to wait ... not good at all! I entered the place because the house is so beautiful, however, it has not been serviced or mantained in ages: What a pity!

Great place to enjoy great mexican food (authentic, no cream and shredded cheese here). Tuetano, lentil soup with plantains, fideo seco, green apple mole, arrachera tacos. Good selection of wines from Mexico and Spain. Delicious mezcalitas to start. Fantastic service.

Bad experience this time, our waiter was extremely rude, he rolled his eyes twice when it was HIS mistake bringing the wrong drinks. He blamed us for it twice. First time we leave a place for rudeness and not feeling welcomed.

Arrived here for breakfast. Very little wait time. Server was very kind but busy. Nice outdoor area to enjoy the views of the park and people watch. We ordered the chilaquiles with steak and the crepes with mushroom, huitlacoche, and flor de calabaza. It came with a plate of fruit and a green juice. Apart from that ordered cafe de olla and a pastry with raspberry and cream cheese. Everything tasted excellent! It did take about 20 minutes to get our bill after requesting it twice but we weren’t in a rush.

Food was ok, but waiter demanded us to leave a bigger tip. He exchanged our $500 and gave us $450 back without even letting me put the note down. I usually tip 20% but that's no way to treat your customers.

High quality food. They have a really large menu, a lot of options and an small vegetarian menu too. The food was just delicious, we tried a variety of their dishes all of them was perfect. They have good services. I won’t say it is an expensive restaurant just because the taste was worth the price. I highly recommend this place

Our waiter was so nice, friendly and fast. We were a big table and yet, he managed to get it all right. The coffee is really good. The plates of fruit are fresh. And the food is just delicious. We were all satisfied with its flavor. And the place is beautiful.

Ave María This place is in Coyoacán, very time I go to CDMX I always make a stop to this neighborhood. This is the first time here, and I may be back if just for the soup. The one I had was sopa de hongos con flor de calabaza. This was one of the most tasteful and delicious soups I had. I usually like soups or caldos, chicken or meat “rez”. But this all vegetable soup was a highlight, the Hawaiian pizzas was ok, the breaded rib tips were a bit salty. The French fries were powered with some spices, and they good as well. Drinks were ok, nothing to write home about. But that soup, is worth coming back for.

Great ambiance. Large restaurant with separate areas to sit. Felt like I was in a castle courtyard. ❤️. Great food. And love love love the sangria

The food was delicious. We had the pechuga de pollo rellena de cuitlacoche, and the filete de res relleno de cuitlacoche, which were both well seasoned and plated on excellent sauces. The arrachera was very tender as well - highly recommended. The queso fundido was smaller than expected but still a good appetizer to start with. Service was good although a bit slow.

A relaxing spot for a quick snack. Menu looked great but needed some basics. Pizza has a unique cheese that was very good. Creamy, a little sweet, and the crust was perfect. If the rest of the food matches the pizza it is a solid choice!

Rude seating hostess: stopped by for a late breakfast trusting the high reviews of this place, and wanted to seat outside. There were plenty of vacant tables in plain sight by the hostess said "No hay mesas" (there are no tables). I understand that I am just one person and those may have been reserved (there were no signs on them) Once I pointed the tables out, in response she just kept saying "No hay mesas" like a robot. To the management: if you are trying to maximize the revenue, you are certainly not getting my business.

Ave Maria If you sit outside you will be invaded with insects No staff can speak English we struggled a lot to order One staff was coming around giving us fruits and baked stuff before we even order and we thought it’s complimentary but they then wanted to charge us. We asked him for chocolate pastry and he gave us jam pastry. You cannot order most of the egg options unless you order a complete breakfast. Slow services I don’t recommend this place at all

Fantastic place in the heart of Coyoacan!! The building is beautiful, the terrace is cute with a cool view, the service is amazing and the food is delicious high-end Mexican dishes!! I went there after legally getting married here in Mexico, with family, and the staff went above and beyond to help us have a great time. Also, it is really not expensive for the quality of what you get (we spent an average of 250-300 pesos for brunch per person, we did not order alcoholic beverages).

Mexican restaurant with authentic interior food located in an historic building in the heart of Coyoacán.

The starter salad was OK, the main course octopus was however not particularly fresh and/or well cooked. The margaritas were horrifically sweet, even though we asked to not have them with any sugar. They were undrinkable and the waiter didn't want to change them until we kicked up a fuss.

Tasty Mexican food, and good drinks! Good service and a nicely decorated place, in a good location.

Excellent food and great atmosphere! Such a nice view of the park and they have a mariachi band playing. The bbq steak was some of the best I had.

If you come there, you nust taste the "Huevos Benedictinos" simply perfect

Wow! I searched for a Sunday brunch buffet while visiting the area and am I glad I did! A truly overwhelmingly amazing buffet with everything from fruit/yogurt to pastor/carnitas tacos with homemade tortillas to soups and all kinds of specialty stews. The cafe de Olla is not to be missed!!

Great food and wonderful patio. We had the mole rosa and the Ave Maria chicken.

A good place to eat in Coyoacán. Perfect breakfast, lunch and dinner. A place to go with friends, family, the special one or even by yourself. The place has tables inside and outside. A little bit expensive, but good food. A complete breakfast come from M$85 to M$210; the omelettes from M$115 to M$190. The American coffee is M$38.

Some friends recommended me this place' buffet. The price of the buffet per adult at the time of writing this review is of 270 pesos. They had a wide variety of Mexican food, coffee, café de la olla and chocolate were some of the drinks included, they offer as well juice. I ordered a little of most of the dishes they had that day and they were all pretty good. You can sit outside the restaurant, inside or in a small open place they have on the back wheres the buffet is at.

Everything was excellent. We order the tortilla soup and a pizza. The soup was extremely delicious, and the pizza was half of pear and the other half of meat. Also we order clericot for drinking and Everything was nice. I strongly recommend this place. 5stars.
