The machines are clean, the coffe and pastries are fresh, the staff is genuinely amazing, and the atmosphere is what you would wish for in a a Santa Monica neighborhood cafe! Thank you all for always being exceptionally excellent ! The shop also has a reward system, and accepts NFC payments!!!!

Industrial-floral evoking a contemporary chic vibe! I quite like the place. Some comfortable seating in a nice open plan indoor space, outdoor seating and plenty of street parking! Coffee done right and a good mix of pastries available!

If they put half the amount of effort into training their baristas instead of their merchandise, you might get a drinkable cup of coffee.

Nice coffee shop in an office park. The space is bright, open, simple and clean, the atmosphere is very relaxing. I had a cappuccino and it was average, nonetheless I had a great time chilling out in the outdoor area. Would love to check out their barista specials when I come back another time.

I saw this cafe this morning when I was biking and I stoped by to grab a coffee. I tried honey lavender latte and I really liked it! Such a nice and quiet place. I’ll definitely come back to work or just enjoy a cup of coffee!

What a welcoming coffee shop!! The staff are not only super friendly but they give treats to the doggies :) my favourite is the chagachino, best drink in the area!! I’m also coming from Europe and the croissants here are actually on par with the ones I got there daily.

I have been here a few times, and I can say that cafe Ruisseau is my favorite coffee shop on the west side. The espresso is always pulled so well and so smooth and delicious. My favorites are Iced lav honey latte w oatmilk (half-sweet) and the rose dirty chai, also love their vegan/gluten-free pastries. Also a great spot to check out local Black artists and buy some prints/art. So happy to support Black owned businesses, and I’ll be back soon!

super close to the smc center for media and design, so it was perfect for an early iced coffee before class!! the atmosphere was so beautiful, absolutely full of natural light and a good amount of seating to wait and get a little studying out of the way as well!! the iced latte i ordered was a decent size and they offered milk substitutes with no extra charge, and the pastries were super warm and decadent(they had gf options too!) an amazing way to splurge a bit and treat yourself if you're a student or work in the area!

As a Food Photographer, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Cafe Ruisseau during an exciting photoshoot in Santa Monica. It was an experience that truly showcased the passion and dedication this establishment has for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. From the moment I arrived at the café, I was impressed by the attention to detail that the team demonstrated in every aspect of their service. Each dish that was prepared was a true work of art, carefully crafted to delight both the eyes and the taste buds. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite. During the photoshoot, I had the chance to witness the barista's skill in the art of latte making up close. Their expertise was astounding, turning each cup of coffee into a unique artistic expression. Every meticulously crafted design added a special touch to the shots, capturing the very essence of Cafe Ruisseau. Furthermore, the cozy and relaxed ambiance of the café provided the perfect backdrop for our photoshoot. The Cafe Ruisseau team ensured that everything was impeccably presented, allowing us to authentically capture the beauty of their dishes. If you're looking for a location for future photoshoots or simply want to enjoy an exceptional culinary experience in Santa Monica, I highly recommend Cafe Ruisseau. Their commitment to perfection and their passion for food are reflected in every detail, creating truly unforgettable moments. I would like to extend my gratitude to Cafe Ruisseau for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their story through my lens. It was a pleasure to collaborate with such a talented and passionate team. I can't wait to see how the images captured during the photoshoot will further enhance the presentation of their dishes on the platform!" I hope this version captures the essence of your photoshoot experience and highlights the collaboration and quality of Cafe Ruisseau.

What!!! This place is pure gold. Truly. I have the Oat Latté or the Chai Latté w/soy. Phenomenal. Their coffee beans, you can tell, are cared for from the farmer to the roaster to the store. The space is beautifully decorated from top to bottom. The people who run the shop as well as the patrons, very very kind people. I love that it is family owned and operated. Reminds me of my family growing up, running the family restaurant in Kentucky. I discovered this space a month ago in February 2023 and have been back consistently several times each week since; meaning I haven't been walking to my local shop in Brentwood and have been making the effort to travel to Café Ruisseau. It is well worth it!!!

It's fine. Not great. There are only 4 tables and one of them is always being used by staff to hang their coats or keep their snacks. Paid $7 for an ice tea and didn't realize until after I tapped my card since they didn't mention the price or show me the screen. Music is really loud too.

I really enjoyed my oat latte from Cafe Ruisseau in Santa Monica, and I can’t wait to also check out their other locations because of the quality of their products and the atmosphere. I’d also love to know more about the coffee itself - where’s it roasted, etc. TIMING: Cafe Ruisseau was packed when I went! The line moved quick (it took 5 minutes to get to order and the line was at the door) but the drinks took longer - 14 minutes from the time I ordered! Something to keep in mind if you’re in a rush, but it’s worth the wait. MILK: I was glad to see they both use and sell the Ghost Town Oats milk, one of my favorite oat milk brands. I went with the medium hot Oat Milk Latte ($5.50), which has 2 shots vs 3 if I’d gone with the large. I really appreciated that they don’t upcharge for alternative milks, as my boyfriend’s regular medium hot latte was also $5.50. SEATING: They have both indoor and outdoor seating along with WiFi. All of the tables were occupied when I first arrived, but by the time my drink was ready a few spots had opened up. PARKING: I turns out you can’t park in the parking lot on Colorado, as it’s not their lot, but there’s street parking nearby. I went with one of the 3 hour meters across the street, but be sure to closely read the signs if you’re trying to park in the neighborhood because most require a permit.

We were ignored at the counter for at least 5 mins where the only staff wouldn’t even come and talk to us. Always think their drinks are good even the price went up a little bit. Sadly not gonna go back because of the terrible service & limited food options.
