My family and I visited this restaurant last night, which was my second time dining there. I had a great experience during my first visit for lunch last Friday. However, our recent visit left us extremely disappointed with the level of customer service, especially considering we were a family group of five, including a senior citizen. 1. SERVICE INCONSISTENCY and INFLEXIBILITY: During my previous lunch visit, they offered complimentary salad and cold tea, but these were not served during our visit last night. While it's understandable that these items are complimentary, it's unclear why the offerings varied. Additionally, when I ordered a sushi platter (mixed hachimori) last Friday, they informed me that ebi was unavailable and offered additional salmon as a replacement. However, last night when we ordered the same platter, they informed us that a particular ingredient was unavailable, but when I requested a substitute sushi as I had done before, I was told that altering the menu was not possible. 2. POOR TABLE MANAGEMENT: Our table was attended by different servers throughout our meal. One male server took our order, a female server informed us of an out-of-stock ingredient, and another male server brought our food, including the initial order that had to be changed. This caused confusion, particularly for my father who was expecting a different dish. Unfortunately, we were told that we had no choice but to accept the already cooked food. 3. SLOW AND INATTENTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE: Despite a service bell placed on our table, it was challenging to get the attention of a waiter. It took approximately two minutes of trying to catch their attention to request a fork, and another five minutes to actually receive one. 4. INADEQUATE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: The restaurant's inventory management appears to be flawed, leading to confusion and frustration among customers that could have been easily avoided with a more efficient system. Adding to the issues my father encountered, we ordered six pieces of mochi and were initially told by our first waiter that two flavors were available. However, the subsequent female waiter informed us that only the vanilla flavor remained. To our disappointment, during food service, we were informed that only one piece of mochi was actually available. Overall, our experience at this specific branch of the restaurant was terrible, and we have decided never to return. The only positive aspect was the service provided by their security guard. Note: The photo I have uploaded is illustrating the situation where waiters were congregated at the counter despite the availability of numerous unoccupied tables. This occurred while we were making an effort to get their attention in order to request a fork for our senior citizen companion.

15+ years ago, manufacturing executives in the area brought us here for a business dinner. I liked it then and vowed to come back. I brought my family and did not disappoint. My all time favorite katsu curry wss one of the fam's top choice. The rest of the food in the pics are all good. The mocktail drink was high quality as well - and I rarely like cocktails. And best of all, the total bill for this special dinner is just like a normal dinner at the mall for us. We will be back for sure. I think there's no SC, so make sure to tip.

Popular Japanese Restaurant in Laguna My relatives love this place that one weekend, we had our lunch here. It was a big Japanese restaurant that accommodates both solo and group customers. During that time, the place was crowded by locals and some foreign nationals. We waited for a few minutes before we got to our seats. We ordered ramen 🍜, gyoza 🥟 and other rice meals. Some dishes came in fast while others took a long time to be served. So some of us just started and finished eating while others were still waiting for their order to come. We also observed that the same thing was happening to other tables. Good thing, the food tasted really good. So we would probably still be going back to this place with a lot of patience.

U can never go wrong with Ippon Yari. Go-To resto 4 sho We ordered: Salmon Ikura Don: fresh & cooked salmon with fish eggs on a rice bowl. Literally tastes like a deconstructed salmon sushi/maki 9.5/10 Spicy Salmon Maki: if u can’t choose between the spicy salmon sashimi & maki, just get this. PERFECT 10/10 Pls don’t eat this first if nalipasan ng from bc it’s spicy and raw Salmon Sahimi: fave 10/10 no questions asked Mango Kani Salad: 9/10 refreshing & good!! the sauce/vinaigrette tends to water down in the bottom. Make sure to mix properly (if u like)

my go-to japanese restaurant. i likeee it here and what made my stay fun is because of my companions. the staffs are accomodating and corteous, as always. and the security guard already know who we are so we went to our reserved seats right away. 😅 went here on a not so busy night so the service was prompt. though, my recent visit seems a lil different in terms of food. i ordered my fave meal, katsu curry. the curry surprisingly had some amount of beef strips and veggies unlike before. moreover, i enjoyed it nonetheless. i just wish the katsu was crispy enough. it seemed like it was cooked about hour ago cos it's cooled down and it's not as juicy and crispy. lastly, i hope the atmosphere could be improved because it seems like their floors are a little slippery (oily???)😅 i think it needs some cleaning. but all in all, i enjoy every minute of my stay in this restaurant and every bite of their food. salamat 💚

One of the great Japanese Restaurant that you'll find in Calamba. Place is clean and cozy, parking slots are quite few though. Staffs are accommodating. Highly recommended for people who usually crave for tempura and other Japanese dishes.

Ippon Yari is probably my favorite Japanese restaurant near my area. I love the ambiance, the decor and their friendly staff. My favorite is the Nagasaki Champon ramen with gyoza and some ebi tempura. The quality of the food is superb and their prices are fair.

Awesome menu. Big, but everything we ordered was available and well-made. Drinks menu is also top. No wonder they've managed to last so long. I believe it's the first Japanese resto in the area, I've seen this logo around since I was in gradeschool. Unparalleled in consistency. Hope it survives the coming waves of business extinctions in the area!

Super loved the karaage and green tea mochi -- best I've had. Sashimi and nigiri boats had good quality seafoods too. However their drinks took so long to serve. Teriyaki chicken was not the best I've had but still okay. Overall very good value for money, much like Manmaru in Little Tokyo in Makati.

The other reviews are correct, the food is great. A little bit of on the pricey side, though, it is Japanese, and it is definitely more than Korean. You will be dishing out somewhere in the 400 peso per head. But still worth it.

This is my go-to Japanese restaurant. Expats from Greenfield come here for lunch. Very good staff. Meals are served fast and hot. Very well priced. All time favorites are available. Sushis, tempura, sashimis are well stocked. Everything is available provided you know how to order. Especially drinks. It pays to be a regular.

At the entrance, the bodyguard is always nice and welcoming! I may be a regular, but the very first time I ate here, the staff has always been accommodating, polite, and efficient. They adjust the dishes to your preference as you please. They also offer nice beverages for you to enjoy. The price for what you’ll have is exceptional. It is fresh and very well made. The ambiance is relaxing and, of course, very authentic “Japanese vibes” so to speak. You won’t have to worry about restrooms since they are so clean and well maintained. But, of course, have the etiquette to keep it that way as a customer and also for the next user. One of the best tasting and experienced Japanese restaurants you can find. If not, the best one yet here in Sta. Rosa.

One of the best in Japanese experience and good food in the south! They will serve you in very hospitable way, from free appetizers and cold tea, serving your meal, and hot coffee before going out from the restau. The dishes are rich in flavor and full of ingredients, especially their ramen. This resto also have an area where you can eat like in Japan, just be sure to have a reservation first :) definitely worth trying!

One of my go-to Japanese restaurants in the Laguna/Metro Manila area. You will definitely find good quality Japanese food here! I love their zaru soba and spicy tuna sashimi! Also a fan of the green tea mochi when it's available.

  • 4/5 Florante F. 4 months ago on Google • 20 reviews
Their ramen taste authentic, similar to what I got from ramen houses at Shinjuku Japan. Can't compare it to one of my favorite Ramen Kuroda as each has its own unique taste, except the later is almost half the price of the former. I recommend this place Ipponyari Santa Rosa. Good Japanese concept ambiance and there were more expats dining in than locals, this is because of its proximity to Semiconductor Industries in the area Laguna Technopark Inc.

Our go-to Japanese restaurant in Sta. Rosa. We've been going here for years and the food is always great. Service tends to be a bit slow on busy hours though (the place does get quite busy) so best to go on weekdays if you want less crowds and quick service.

There's free cold tea, salad, and service coffee. I liked the tendon but wished it had tempura sauce inatead of teriyaki sauce. The miso soup was bland and warm. The per piece sushi was good and did not gall apart. The spicy tuna sushi roll wasnt spicy at all and was a bit bland for me.

I haven't gone to any authentic Japanese restaurant, so I can't judge them correctly if they serve Japanese food in an authentic way. But hey! This restaurant is the first thing that pops up in my mind when I hear the phrase "Japanese Food". For me, this is the best Japanese restaurant I have ever tried. Yes, you've red that right folks.. "THE BEST JAPANESE RESTAURANT". This right here is the hidden gem in Sta. Rosa City. Service: 5/5 Food taste: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Food presentation: 4/5 Ain't gonna drop japanese restau names here but sorry.. Ippon Yari is my #1.

Once your seated at their table, they serve you a cold towel and a small dish with edamame. You can take your time in choosing your order since they a very large variety of dishes to choose from. In this occasion, we ordered the following: Nigiri sashimi - best sushi rice Mix fry - it was around 8 different deep fried items from ebi to tonkatsu Gindara teriyaki - this could have been bigger Potato salad Salmon sashimi Tamagoyaki - 8 pcs serving size You can add 80 to any dish and it will be served with rice and soup and a side dish. You know it’s authentic because most of the people eating are japanese.

It is located near paseo jeep terminal and south market and Just near 7-eleven and BDO bank. There are free packing area. But there are many car for visitors for the market and other restaurants specifically night time.day time is moderate.. It is possible to take out and dine in service. As you can see you can eat athentic Japanese style food and drink. Price is a bit expensive, but quality is ok

I had our celebratory dinner here after reuniting with my friends whom I've missed for years and I couldn't think of any place else to spend the evening other than Ipponyari Santa Rosa. Their restaurant is giving an authentic Japanese vibe with a touch of Filipino hospitality which is best complemented with the good food. You should come and try it here.

If you are looking for authentic Japanese food, this is the place. Not even kidding. It's authentic. I have my fair share of disappointing sashimi from other Japanese restaurants, but not here. Food tastes fresh, and not you will surely leave full and satisfied. Quite romantic place

It is the place to be, for authentic japanese cuisine in Santa Rosa. Look nowhere else! Good sushi and sashimi hachimori, excellent mega size draft beer. Parking is challenging, but due to lots of customers all the time, not lack of parking spaces.

Vibe: Felt like a legit Japanese resto. Japanese shows were being shown in their TVs. Saw several tables with Japanese customers. I thought I was in Japan for a second. Overall has great vibe. Perfect for groups or families. Food: Ordered the Nikomi Hamburg with Demi Glace and the Chicken Namban. Serving size is big and good for sharing. Hamburg was quite juicy but the demi glace lacked flavor. Chicken Nanban was crispy and juicy but was salty (the Tartar sauce on top tasted nice but combined with the salty chicken = very salty) Good thing there was rice to balance all the salt. Drink: Ordered a Matcha Espresso Latte Drink. Very bland. Could barely taste the Matcha and the Espresso. Seems like the Matcha used was expired or very low quality? 🥲

Glad we tried it the second time around. The first time we went, we couldn't dine in due to COVID. The takeout experience left much to be desired and the food was already cold when we got home. This time, we got to eat inside and it was a lot better. The food was hot and tasted great. We tried several items on the menu and all of them were good. The seafood ramen was especially revealing. The smokiness of the broth surprised me in a good way. It complemented the noodles perfectly. The tempura was a little bit overcooked and the color was somewhat off, the color you get when you leave something frying for a longer period of time. Instead of golden brown, it was a slightly darker shade. This, however, doesn't take from how good the tempura was and it paired really well with the Japanese mayo (you need to request for it instead of being included during service. Over all, it was a near perfect gastronomic experience and I'm glad we went back.

Reasonably priced food. Yakitori is always out of Torikawa which sucks. Also there is no service charge so make sure you tip the servers. This place is also very understaffed or lacks a better floor process.

always delivers the expectation when it comes to Japanese taste and courteousness. The only problem you might face would be the Japanese regular customers which sometimes forgets that they are still in the Philippines..minsan Bastos na.. One patron was not wearing mask or shield and openly sneezes without covering his face and when confronted to watch his manners and follow protocols, upsets. Only then when one waitress said that if he doesn’t behave they will call the police and have him arrested in violation of the IATF health protocols. He eventually was asked to leave. I hate these type of people who at all times take advantage of the humility and hospitable shown by the working service Filipinos..”porke ba waitress at security guard at Pinoy eh babastusin mo?”.. I’m giving them 3 due to failure to follow health protocols imposed on their customers.
