I definitely recommend Pulpo (octopus) y mixto de churrasco (grilled pork). It is more than enough for 2 people and it contains salad + fries + 2 desserts too:) Everything for 32,5 euro in the city center of Santiago. 🙂

Best dinner in santiago. All the dishes (meat and seafood) were fresh and tasty. Prices were to the point and the service was great. Would definitely go back. Special thanks to Nerea and Carol for their attentive service.

Staff is very friendly, service is fast, most of the food is regional. Spanish tortilla was fluffy and chorizo spicy, I liked the salad with goat cheese and nuts, the grill platter for two could easily feed three hungry pilgrims. Reservation is recommended because it can get very full.

A must go to restaurant! Fantastic food and service! And topped off with best sangria! The bbq meat selection for 1 was plenty for the two of us at lunchtime

Mesón 42 is a very nice restaurant right in the middle of Santiago de Compostela. I had the Cesar salad and the chocolate mousse. It was very tasty, and the portion of the salad was very large. You won't go hungry to bed after eating there! You can make reservations on their website, which is easy. The staff was very competant and welcoming. I had the pleasure of being served by the waiter Carol (or Carolina I think). She spoke english very well and was very pleasant. Thumbs up for her and for the entire Mesón 42!👍 I would recommend it to anybody!😊

Food was pretty good. Service was a little poor. The waitress wasn't able to help us with questions about the dishes and wine, so we ordered pretty blindly.

My favourite restaurant in Santiago de Compostela. They do a huge meat platter for two people for €35.00. It consists of various sliced steaks on a bed of french fries. Absolutely delicious. €3 for a beer and €1.20 for a coffee. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly service.

Staff was very friendly and the food was really good. Nice assortiment of seafood and meat dishes. Wines are good and reasonably priced. Make sure to get in early or get a reservation, this place was full on a Tuesday evening. This was during COVID, but I can imagine that it will be packed even at full capacity.

Worst restaurant in my 3 weeks in Spain. Food was awful. It was very salty. Overpriced. Rude servers. Horrible service. The server spilled liquid on my pants when she was removing the plates and did not even apologize... I would not recommend it.

Delicious place!! The shells were our favorite. After a long walk to Santiago de Compostela we deserved a great dinner. Both Jackson and Jesus attended us with great detail and recommend the best dishes on the menu. You can’t go wrong.

Absolutely delicious food, big portions and very fair prices. We had pimientos de padrón, pulpo feira (octopus), calamar (squid), almejas (clams) and zamburiñas (scallops). Everything delicious! The staff was also very friendly. We would definitely go again!

Excellent place, great tapas and environment, the service 🔟, carolina was amazing, the 🐙 was simply nyam nyam, while lacon was too much for 2, the goat cheese salad was great. Then the wine, albariño was tasteful, the dessert was great and they brought a candle tarta Santiago to cellebrate the 🎂, amazing.

We had a fantastic meal and wonderful service despite the full restaurant. Everything was very fresh, tasty, and of very high quality. If you are hungry and appreciate a good meal, this place is a must! We had the octopus and potatoes, croquets, and grilled meat plate for two for dinner, and rice pudding the tarta Santiago for desert with the Hito rosè.

One of the many restaurants in Rua do Franco in Santiago. The waiters are very attentive and the food is nice enough, and so is the atmosphere. Sadly the food is not quite as good as in some other places we have tried and the octopus with cheese on bread I cannot recommend, as it really is diminishing the wonderful taste of the octopus. The desserts were nice but had been prepared beforehand and were served more like in a Coffeeshop than what you would expect from a restaurant at this price point. This being said, we had a nice time 😊
