If you order a glass of beer you we'll get a pintxo de tortilla and bread. The tortilla doesn't contain onions as the usual spanish tortilla, it's only eggs and potatoes so it's safe even for those with alliums intolerance. Price: around 2.70 euros. I ordered a 🍺 + 1 plate of polpo a la gallega (bread incl) and paid around 21.50 euros. The portion was enough for 2 people. It's not the cheapest place but the food was good and if you can eat at the bar you don't have to wait for a table.

They have really good tortillas given with a drink. We also ordered chipirones which were amazing! And all this was enough for two people for lunch. The service is really good. We didn’t wait much when we were there on a weekday at around 4 pm. So waiting time depends on the hour i guess. You can also try galician wine here.

Nice tapas bar, the free tortilla with every drink is (in my h.o.) fab. I like scrambled eggs a bit runny, and this was that kind of consistency - although my partner thought the opposite. It's very touristy here of course, mostly because most of the tours finish around here and mention it in the tour. I liked it, the other food looked good, staff could be a little more welcoming.

I ordered a beer (you get given a tortilla as tapas), steamed mussels, burger and spicy fries. Let's just say walking from France this has been my favourite meal by far. It's always busy here so you have to be patient so make sure you aren't hangry. It's worth the wait.

This bar is incredible, best tortilla I’ve tried in my life, I had the octopus and the Zamburiñas and both were absolutely delicious. As always you might need to speak a bit of Spanish to get understood but the service and food was excellent. A must if you are visiting Santiago

Tortillas tapas(?) were complimentary, hamburger, bocadillo de cotillion, bocadilla de zorza all were good. Friendly staff. Def a local hangout spot.

Best bar in Santiago, the beer, the tortilla and pulpo 🐙 everything was perfect. The bartender Eduardo was super attentive. Would recommend to anyone who is heading to Santiago de Compostela 🇪🇸🫶🏽

Some of the most friendly staff and best service I’ve ever experienced in Spain. And you get a free tortilla tapa with every drink! One of the few places that I found was open all day. Mostly locals, worth a stop

Great tortilla, octopus. Delicious food, very busy loud place. If it’s about the good and a Spanish tapas bar , this is the place to go.

By case we found/selected this place to have lunch. Tapas were good even though the tortilla they bring was a bit to unccoked for me but in general everzthing was authentic, cheap and good. A lot of locals were there to have lunch as well which made it seem good and authentic.

Mixed feelings about Bar La Tita, happy to have only spent one night here. The rooms are a bit dirty and small, luckily not super noisy in the morning. Food and drinks very good value, tortilla portion was worth it. Centric which is what you are paying for, but can't say we would stay again or recommend to anyone.

Service was excellent, very quick and friendly. You need to be assertive to ask for a table, though, as it is a very busy place. You can write your name on a waiting list, and as soon as a table is free, they call you. Waiting times between 5 to 15 minutes. The food was ok, but it lost its authenticity. As the kitchen is visible when going to the restroom, I noticed that cooking personnel was foreign-born. They are most likely not trained in local cooking traditions. I recommend this place for its tradition and its ambiance but do not expect a truly traditional galician cooking experience.

Was really looking forward to trying this place and was really very disappointed. We luckily managed to get a spot at the bar after only a short wait and finally got served a beer after another short wait , the tortilla came 10 mins after, and at this stage my beer had already been drank. The tortilla was ok but not great, definitely not worth the wait. Although ok with us , the barman was incredibly rude to multiple people while we were there and never served any tortilla/tapas to some who were waiting longer than us, many of which just left after being told there's other bars around when asking if they could be served a drink, very odd behaviour. Seems like the popularity has caught up with them and they can't keep up, disappointing overall and would recommend to avoid

There is a reason why the restaurant is always full! The food is fantastic. I have been staying nearby for the past week and I have stopped in whenever I can get a seat. Everything I have tried has been very good.

Excellent. Had a free tapas with our drink, Spanish omelette, delicious. Then had fries with aoli, tasty. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

We love this small interesting bar with great food. Service is always friendly & efficient, even when incredibly busy. When in the city we call in for coffee or lunch never fails to be excellent. We are old, so not so much in the evenings, the atmosphere is great.

Best tortilla in Santiago. My friend and I had the tapa that came with our drinks and some raxo. Best lunch ever.

Great spot for tortilla with good staff. The wine was okay for a Mencía but maybe our bottle happened to be a little too acidic. Outside seating is charming and very cozy inside we well. This is the quintessential tortilla spot of Santiago.

Awesome bar in the city center, their tortilla tapas are amazing and go for free with every drink. The waiters are super welcoming and friendly. The place is buzzing in the evening, so better get in early

Good place to grab a beer with free “tapa de tortilla”… the Spanish omelette is really tasty, but the bar is tiny and it could be renewed.

Iconic in Santiago and the tapa of Tortilla is superb! Great atmosphere and service. We love this taverna but it always packed so be prepared to wait for a table as there is always a queue!

They do have free tapas with drink and the food was great, I love the local beer, you can try it

Best tortilla indeed. The vibe is a bar scene so it's a bit crazy. Yet the staff are all friendly. Nice place to have a drink.

The Spanish tortilla here is exquisite. Moreover you order a drink and a little bite comes along for free... Avoid busy days, summer holidays and you'll be very well served.

I don't get the hype. We walked by for two nights in a row and saw an extremely long queue, so we decided to give it a try for lunch the next day. The food was ok, but nothing special (there are definitely better alternatives in Santiago). The pricing is aligned with most restaurants. The service was below expectations. Don't waste your time queuing, it's not worth it.

We went there and ordered tortilla after reading very good reviews of this place. We weren't disappointed at all and the tortilla was simply amazing. This is the best tortilla I have ever tried anywhere in Spain where I've been living for almost a year. Recommend the place even if you have to wait a bit more than usual to get a table👌👍

The coffee is not good, the tortilla is cold and the WiFi doesn't work.

Generous service, you get tortillas and bread if you order drinks.

Bar La Tita seems to be a pretty famous bar. There was a lot of people waiting a table. I read that the tortilla is very good but I can not agree totally with that. The tortilla was just ok. Then I ordered a portion of croquetas and they weren’t good, they were a bit cold inside and they didn’t have nothing special. So I think it’s better to go there just for a beer.

Do not miss making a stop here and getting a pincho de tortilla with a beer or any other beverage! The bocadillo de zorza is a fantastic option as well.

  • 5/5 Sergio B. 1 year ago on Google
If you see the menu in the pictures you may think that its expensive but not at all, they serve a big tortilla with every drink and everything is very tasty so 100% recommended

The Sangria is delicious and comes with a free portion of tortilla! The best tortilla I've had. The food from the menu is good too and the staff is very helpful and kind.
