The place is very well decorated with a clear theme that they nailed. The fact that you are able to order from your table food from different shops is a plus. The food was satisfactory. Good service and clean. Would very much recommend.

Great food market with lots of options, including great veggie options. Would definitely visit again to try out more foods!

This place is on a pricier side but I would say it’s worth it. Very sleek interior, super attentive staff and tasty food

Mercado La Galiciana offers a delightful culinary experience. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy, and the service is attentive. The menu showcases a diverse range of Galician dishes, highlighting the region's flavors. From seafood to traditional meats, the food is prepared with care and presented beautifully. The wine selection perfectly complements the dishes. However, portion sizes can be inconsistent, and prices are on the higher side. Overall, Mercado La Galiciana provides an enjoyable taste of Galicia, making it a worthy dining option for those seeking authentic Spanish cuisine. I would recommend.

Careful, this is a tourist trap, well kinda and kinda not. Let me explain: If you are here to drink craft beers which are fairly priced and want to eat some fries, then this place should get 4 out of 5 stars. The potata gajos are great and the beers too. But! the staff doesn't speak English and therefore also can't tell you about the beers you are trying to order. Also, they can't explain the menu or concept to you, plus there is only one hard copy of a menu. You feel like they want to get rid of non spanish speaking people and non Spanish tables are not serviced much. This is supposed to be a hip place but they are missing that hip places are designed for an international audience. And it's definitely aimed at an international audience as the food is way below average compared to the usually found excellent quality of restaurants and food in Santiago. The prices are international and far overpriced compared to other restaurants. The portion size is small and the taste is boring and even looks boring. Except the fries, which are great!

"Delicious patatas gajo - potato wedges, so crunchy! Menu is slightly odd in that there are no descriptions of the food - just the name of it. Lots of different styles of food, all served in the same seating area, great way of tasting lots of different cuisines." I went here the first night I was here, and loved the food, went somewhere else, had a disappointing experience, so came back here for the third night. It was terrible. The wait staff were very unattentive - the first night we put that down to us being foreign, and not knowing what was going on, but this time we knew how it worked, and they were still uninterested and slow. The food was awful. I ordered the prawns "gambas ao allo" and they turned up in a metal tin, stinking of fish, and tasting rubbery. The "sauce" was the water they were boiled in, and there were about four shreds of garlic in there. All for €13,90 My partner ordered the Poke Atun, and it was like someone had explained the concept of Poke, but not well. So he had rice, flavourless lumps of tuna, and some cucumber slices, tomato, and grated carrot. TLDR; Order the patatas gajo, and leave.

The ribs were completely burnt and dry. The Chips were stuck together and not good either. The draught beer was the only good thing here.

Good food and good wine, but as it is the hype of the moment, definitely overpriced. € 35 for 1 plate of Pulpo de la feria, pimentos patron and a 1 glass of wine.

Amazing place, great for local food (but maybe you can try the other not so local options as well). We had Croquetas de jamon and pulp and the pult toast which we're AMAZING. There's also a good variety of beer, including the local 1906 and estrella galicia and others like brewdog and o'haras. Totally recommended.

We had our conference dinner at this place. It's got a number of bars and mini kitchens which prepare excellent tapas. They say the form is international but the food is local: Think Galician sushi and local pizza. After the kitchens closed at 22:00, the DJ played until about 2am. We also had a traditional Galician trio perform for us from 8-9pm on a live stage near the front of the hall.

Cozy place, open space kitchens, good mediterranian food and international kitchens like: japanese, italian, Spanish and portuguese. The beer was awesome too with large variety.

Great choice of food from Japanese to trad Spanish and the service was spot on in this buzzy place. Live music on 1 night really made atmosphere.

Even being quite crowded the service was really fast. It is a nice place to taste different Galicia dishes. I had tortilla and tosta de pulpo, both of them were pretty good. To drink I had a pint os strella Galicia beer, maybe that could be improved :P.

Lots of places to eat at. Kinda like a food court. The food was good, but a little spendy

Great concept! Lots of great restaurants under the same roof. We tried a mix of japanese, galician and bbq. Almost everything we tried delicious. Great place to go when visiting Santiago de Compostela

Such a unique place! So many different options for food - from local to Italian and sushi. Great variety of beers and lots of attention from the staff. Definitely should go if you are around.

It's a food hall or as I like to joke, hipster food court. Alot of traditional and non traditional food to pick from and an extensive beer menu with selections from all over Europe to try. There's live music some nights and other events held there meaning there's never a dull moment.

The last 2 times I went AWFUL The food can be good but the waiters are disrespectful. They make mistakes and put it on you. There re lovely places in Santiago to eat. I've had 2 bad experiences in a row. I'm not going back. Leaving this comment yo help others and in hopes that the management will realise how not content we are with the people they hire

I had lunch at one of the local restaurants. This was the 2nd day I tries to visit the food hall/market. The 1st day I tried to visit the market was still closed. The opening time online was not correct and no one would answer the phone. The food I ordered pictured below was delicious and was not overpriced.

Great local food court type place. Lots of options for food from vegetarian to Japanese, pizza to burgers. Great service. A bit confusing at first if you don't speak Spanish. But go to the bar and they will help seat you.

We had a lasagna, hummus and a paella. They tasted good. Our drink never came with the food so we canceled them. The vibe of the restaurant was nice with many options.

We ordered two glasses of wine. The other glass was dirty, had some small pieces (of bread?) inside of it. We asked them to change it. We ordered zamburiñas. Waited 10 minutes to hear that they were out of zamburiñas. We ordered for navajas. Waited for other 10 minutes to find out they were out of that too. We ordered sushi without onion pointing out very clearly that it is because of an allergy. They brought the portion 10 minutes later with onion. We had to ask them to prepare it again. Waited for another 10 minutes to have the sushi, which they brought, again, with onion. In this point - after one hour of waiting for nothing - we gave up. It is a shame. We enterded to the place very excited and happy. Left hungry and disapointed. We asked the waiters to compensate this somehow, good idea would for example have been to invite us the glasses of wine after all this. They said it is impossible cause they ”only work here” (?!) All the conversationes were in spanish, so it is not about the language barrier. Avoid this place.

It’s got something for everyone. You sit and get served from a variety of stalls, each specializing in different types of food. From Japanese to grilled meat. Everything was good and the service was very efficient.

This is a must when visiting Santiago de Compostela. You can eat so many different kind of foods but you should try all their seafood and fish. Locals love this place. Different bars, food, and styles. Do not miss it, it's inside the old fish market. That's a trend in Spain.

A gastronomic experience for the whole family. Something of everything. We enjoyed the sushi para niños, and the timbal de verduras especially.

We were wandering around trying to agree on what kind of food we wanted when we stumbled upon this fabulous eating place! A fantastic choice of good quality options from Japanese to Italian and everything in between! There was a noisy atmosphere in there which really added to the experience! Incredible value for money too and we could not believe the final bill was so little! Would love to go back again!

This sounded as a great concept, but don't be misled that galician cuisine is being offered. It's more of an introduction of different restaurants preparing international dishes. Once you figure out that you don't wander around to choose what the different stations offer but sit down and wait to be served, you have to check the menu through your phone using the QR scanner. The staff is nice, but don't speak English (or much of it), which was a problem in our case as they ran out of one dish we ordered. The food we got though was absolutely fantastic, small portions but great taste. It is a good place for big groups as they have extra seating upstairs.
