It's just behind the famous Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. Restaurants, old city centre are only minutes walk from here. The rooms were clean, the staff very helpful and friendly.

Loved this place. I arrived early in the morning and a staff member took my bags and put them in a large storage room so that I was free to go sightseeing and return when my room was ready. Staff at reception was very helpful and arranged for a taxi to the airport the next morning. My room was fairly large considering it was a former monastery with a beautiful modern bath. Bed was comfortable. There didn't seem to be an air con which didn't matter since I was able to open the window. I was a little confused that the window had a small chain making it impossible to open it all the way. A storm blew up later that evening and I realized the little chain kept the window from slamming open and shut with the wind. Very ingenious safety feature! There is a beautiful little cloister/courtyard off the hallway between entrance and reception. It was a peaceful place to sit and listen to the birds. Unfortunately I missed the lunch but did enjoy the breakfast the next morning. I enjoyed my stay and will stay here again when I return to Santiago de Compostela.

After finishing the Camino De Santiago we stayed here 1 night (we couldn’t stay longer because they didn’t have availability) and it was so worth it. The location, the vibes, the buffet breakfast included in the price and the kindest staff made our end of the camino amazing! The rooms for pilgrims are very basic and tight but good enough to rest and shower. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Very clean and beautiful. Highly recommend pilgrims to stay here after a long hike. It is close to the old town square and very close to Santiago. Only a 3 minute walk!

The room we had had 2 separate beds, no TV and no fridge, no heater but we expected that because it was a monastery before. But the location is fantastic because it's so near the Cathedral and other churches. We did the Camino to pray and be closer to God. Sometimes, you need this basic and humbling accommodations to appreciate what you have back home.

This is the old monastery in Santiago de Compostela, and its entrance is just through the archway from the Cathedral square, then immediately left (so don't go to the monastery entrance). It's a huge place, very clean, and its a special building, still feeling like a monastery. Breakfast was plentiful (just what was needed after completing the Camino), and all staff that I had contact with were polite and helpful. I'd stay here again.

Historic building right next to the cathedral. Great location and staying in a building that has hosted pilgrims since the 13th century is cool. The rooms are small but nice . Cold apparently they don’t turn the heat on until 7:30 pm (?). Bar is not open until late, no where to get just coffee in the morning. So great location, cool building, good rooms, below average services

The location is great, right next to the cathedral. The pilgrim's dinner is mediocre, eat someplace else. Breakfast is very good.

We havd stayed in this hotel on many occasions over the past 12 years. We love the location, the prices, the simplicity of the rooms, the history of the hotel building, and especially the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. We stayed there for 2 nights last week. As always our stay was perfect. However what was exceptional this time was the help we received when our flight was cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather. The night time receptionist, Alejandro Casanova, went to exceptional effort to help us get last minute tickets for a train to Madrid so that we could catch a flight home from there. He even paid for the tickets out of his own money when our bank cards would not work, trusting us to refund him by bank transfer. This was truly exceptional service! This is a wonderful hotel and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff makes it really exceptional. Thank you Hospederia San Martin Pinario and especially, our thanks to Alejandro Casanova! We will be back!

Loved it. Bedroom basic enough but comfortable. Nice reception, setting in converted convent(?) lovely and location to side of main cathedral perfect. Great value on my return to Santiago, was staying in different location and they printed off my travel document. superbly friendly

It's great to end the camino and have a proper room to rest. Even a private bathroom! The price for pilgrims (25) is unbeatable, there's even breakfast included. It's conveniently placed behind the cathedral. No luxuries, it's a basic room, similar to what seminarists have, but it does feel luxurious after a month sleeping in albergues with the hoard of other snoring pilgrims. The staff is helpful and polite.

We stayed there after doing the Camino and it couldn't have been better. The man at reception couldn't do enough for us. He facilitated for us to leave the bags there while we went to the Cathedral. I also got help to arrange a taxi and information to bring someone to hospital. Buffet breakfast was very nice and also the other meals. The bedrooms were lovely after being in different albergues for 6 days. Bed supper comfy, sockets for the phone, rack for drying towels. I can't say enough. It was flawless for us

I stayed three nights after walking the Camino, whilst the rooms are basic mine was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was great. Breakfast was served in a vaulted ceiling room that I assume was once part of the chapel. Staff were helpful and friendly and the little shop had a range of interesting souvenirs for sale.

Located right across from the Cathedral so it's very convenient. Staying in a building so steeped in history is surreal and an amazing experience. The service is fantastic and the food restaurant is lovely. I'd definitely stay there again if I ever have the opportunity again.

Perfect location right next to cathedral. Pilgrims meal at Eudo12 is good priced. Get starter main and desert. Bread Water, Wine and coffee. Stayed in a single room. Really happy with the Choice.

You can’t beat the location since it is right besides the cathedral. Staff is super nice and very helpful. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and the food was tasty and portion size adequate. Room is just ok. Whatever the room lacks is made up by location and their fabulous staff.

I've stayed twice at the Hospedería San Martín Pinario during my visit to Santiago, and it turned out to be a delightful experience that surpassed all my expectations. First and foremost, the staff at Hospedería San Martín Pinario were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The hotel's location was a major highlight. Situated right in the heart of Santiago. The hospedería's beautiful courtyard provided a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, making it a perfect spot to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.

Nice hotel and worth paying for a double room after walking the Camino Franćes. The breakfasts are good. We did not have the Menu del Día, but it looked OK. The hotel service was excellent.

A nice medieval scene hotel..neighbor with monastery and university of Santiago Compostela. 5 min walk to the square. And the alleys are full of tapas bar.Stay here for 2 days

Just across the square from the cathedral, the building is beautiful, however, I wasn't prepared for how small the rooms and bathroom would be. It was clean and breakfast was sufficient. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This place is worthy of 5 stars for service, food and hospitality. The price is amazing and the accommodations are basic but superb and the food is very good. Where can one stay in a medieval monastery, with all the amenities, for peanuts????

A great place to stay after your long camino route. Very close to the Archcathedral, plain in style when it comes to the interior, but extremely clean. The service was good, you can even leave your rental equipment here and have it shipped for you. Would surely recommend.

Great location and lovely atmosphere the rooms were nice however the shower did flood the entire bathroom, also very noisy. The breakfast was nice and the whole hotel had a historic feel also loved how close it was to the cathedral. Most of the staff were lovely and so helpful however the wi-fi in our room didn’t work what so ever and when my two daughters asked the receptionist about it nothing was done to help us.
