The kitchen, and I use the word kitchen, is extremely under equipped. One wine glass for instance. 2 microwave ovens, and 2 small refrigerators. The accommodation is very good, the service great. It is a bit of a walk to the Cathedral and restaurants, supermarkets and the like. All in all a good to very good experience

Near city center (around 10minutes from the Cathedral). Small, basic, clean rooms. No extras-like TV or hot water kettle. I liked coffee vending machine:) Service ok.

Clean hostel. Very helpful staff too! They have a luggage storage for me to store my luggage so I can go out and explore the city! Highly recommended!

It was a decent place to stay if you want to be close to the centre. We thought we would have a view and we didn't. The kitchen was pretty dirty. The staff were helpful though.

It was depressingly ok. There was nothing explicitly bad about it - the facilities were decent, it was clean, and the staff were efficient - but there was also nothing good. In addition, there were a few annoyances that added up. There was very little space between the top and bottom bunk beds. I had a bottom bunk and it was even a struggle to make my bed. The room itself was also very cramped, making the whole experience a bit claustrophobic. As its a hostel and not an albergue, there was no policy to leave your shoes downstairs. With the lockers next to the door, the smell of moldy cheese assaults you the moment you enter the room. Not something the hostel is responsible for, but part of the poor experience. Apart from the rooms, the hostel had a sterile feel to it. It lacked an atmosphere that was inviting to hang around and meet others, which is usually one of the nice things of hostels.

Extremely clean, basic hostel. I had the private ensuite room. No TV or hot water kettle, but it was just fine for the night. The breakfast was 7 euros. Great location. 15 or 20-minute walk from the bus station.

The hotel is located not so far from the centre of the town and the shop is pretty close to the hotel. The staff was really helpful, they were able to answer all my question and they helped me to make a taxi reservation to the airport at 5:30 am. According to the hotel the price supposed to be 23,50 euro but the driver asked for 26,20. So no idea how that works but I was happy that I was able to get to the airport on time in the morning. Only thing I can criticise is the leaking water from the bathroom in to my room through the wall while having a shower.

Metal cots made for single beds wasn't worth the price for 60 euro rooms. Could have stay in dormitory. Room was small but clean. Bathrooms were as large as living area.

Staff was fabulous and everything was VERY clean but the price was a bit high for quality of accommodations and location. Breakfast was "ok". Cramped room. Prompt taxi service to the airport. €21

Old looks dirty and not comfy beds. But at least the most expensive option.

(Translated by Google) The only good thing is the treatment, however charging €70 a night for a very normal room justifies it because in the middle of June we were the only ones staying there (Original) Lo único bueno el trato, sin embargo cobrar 70€ la noche por una habitación de lo más normal justifica porque en pleno junio eramos los únicos que nos alojabamos allí

One of the loudest buildings I've ever stayed in. The walls are paper thin so even though I had a private room, I could hear my neighbours snoring. The doors are even worse - opening and closing with loud bangs along an echoy hall. Everytime someone left their room or visited the shared toilet, it created such a ruckus making it impossible to sleep. The place is also very under equipped - don't expect anything but a bed and a microwave in the communal "kitchen". One of my worst stays ever.

A quite place to relax (after finishing the Camino) 5 min walk from the city centre. Single room very cheap

I’ve stayed in this hostel four times now, after completing each of my treks on the Camino de Santiago. It’s about twelve minutes from the cathedral. The dorms are fine, particularly if you can get a twin bed instead of a bunk bed (I never am so lucky). There’s a small kitchen on the third floor and a large seating area, which is nice for eating or planning out your next travel moves. The rooms and bathrooms feel a little dated, but overall it’s a good hostel for a good price.

The hostel, which also has a hotel attached, is away 950m from the Catheral. Clean dorms. Sheets and towels are provided. There is a laundry you can use. €5.00 for washing machine- detergentincluded, and same for drier. Kitchen with microwave, jug and fridge. There is a supermarket nearby.

No air con in the room, bed is uncomfortable hairdryer doesn’t work great so I would bring my own. Very noisy you can hear everything in the rooms beside you and slamming doors with people talking and dogs barking, couldn’t sleep well as of this.

Rooms: good facility, but too many people keep coming, a lot noise 😅 Service: very good reception Location: 15 to 20 minutes to the Cathedral and no stores nearby, not a big problem.

Great location for Santiago.. Only 5 minutes walk to the square.. Very helpful staff and great breakfast 😁

I stayed in the albergue side both times that I completed the Camino. Accommodations are very clean, it a few blocks from the cathedral but not close enough to hear all the noise. More importantly it offers a washer and dryer! They also have a secure, video-monitored place for bikes and luggage. I left my pack for two days while I visited Finisterre

Normalito. No está a pie de calle, el acceso es por una rampa larga y muy empinada. La habitación normal tirando a decadente. Lo salvan las empleadas que fueron agradables.

(Translated by Google) They have changed the name because it is supposed to be La Salle. The rooms are small and the bathroom more. Super old and dirty. It really is a bad pension and the price is very high for what it is. Also be careful not to forget anything because they throw it away. The treatment of the staff is good.

clean and quiet, the staff were very polite and accommodating. I stayed in the hostel portion so it was a shared bedroom with one other. Having walked the camino this was nothing new to me and the price was right. They also summoned a cab for me to the train station very early in the AM.

This place was quite expensive, but no wonder, most of them in Santiago are. The other day we found cheaper option. In this hostal we payed for a private room (1 bunk bed & private bathroom). There was not much space and you could hear noise from the other room. Although, it was very clean with towels and bedding provided.

Horrible. I paid 40 Euros for a room with dirt everywhere in the bathroom or in the main room. For 40 Euros it’s not worth it to be in that ugly hole here. The walls are very skinny and you hear every move from the neighbours neighbours and their neighbours. On the toilet there was some hairs.. not that nice. Also when you wanna shower, there not even comes enough water out…

  • 1/5 Fernando -. 5 years ago on Google
No Hot water after checking-in. I wasn't expecting any luxury, but even the worst hostel I've stayed during my trip had hot water. I was asked to pay before checking-in, otherwise I'd have left. After complaining to reception for over 3h, and getting false promises that it would be fixed soon, I propose I would rather take a shower on a nearby Gym than waiting any longer. That's what I did!!

(Translated by Google) Hostel located near the downtown area of Santiago, ten minutes from the cathedral. An austere place, without luxuries and at the same time pleasant. Very quiet place to rest and enjoy the city. The only negative point for me is the breakfast buffet, a little scarce for its price, the rest is very good (Original) Hostal situado cerca de la zona centro de Santiago, a diez minutos de la catedral. Un sitio austero, sin lujos a la vez que agradable. El sitio muy tranquilo para descansar y disfrutar de la ciudad. El único punto negativo para mi es el bufete del desayuno, un poco escaso para el precio que tiene, el resto muy bien
