For me, the closest comparison for this Spanish department store is the British department store John Lewis, although you can sense it is definitely aiming to be even more 'high-end' than JL. There are 7 floors in all, S3-S2-S1-B-1-2-3, although only the top 5 of these are for shopping. For those with young children, there are easily located toilets on S2, next to a fairly basic children's play area, which on the Store Directory is oddly translated into English as 'Childish Games'. The Store Directory (photo attached) suggests there are toilets on every shopfloor, but I did not locate any on floors S1-3 whilst walking around the store. If they do exist, the shop signage for them is poor/non-existent. I think with young children this is especially important, but would also be critical for some other customer groups too to have peace of mind knowing where they are if needed. The strangest part of my experience visiting this store was the absence of a dedicated toy department. There was nothing listed on the Store Directory and I found it really surprising that a higher-end department store like El Corte Inglés would overlook this, given the type of clientele they are trying to attract. Eventually, I located some toys within the hypermarket Hipercor on the 1st floor, but this is not explicitly listed and they could be missed if you didn't know the store well. The selection of toys on sale in Hipercor is comparable with a Tesco Extra in the UK in terms of variety, e.g. Barbie, L.O.L. Surprise, Hot Wheels, Lego, and many more. Overall, I would give the experience 3.5/5 stars. The store was clean and bright, with an excellent mix of products including a very large hypermarket, but most of the staff did not seem particularly approachable or keen to offer help, despite the store being reasonably quiet at the time I visited. The lack of a dedicated toy department and the absence of clear signage for toilets are my main concerns and the latter is absolutely something they can fix easily, if they wanted to improve the customer experience.

Decent selection and friendly and helpful staff (especially in the music department). Parking garage is big and the parking spaces are broad and long and free. Many bathrooms available within the store, one cleaner than the other.

DON'T GO TO THE HAIRDRESSER HERE IF YOU ARE NOT SPANISH and not speaking any spanish! horrible hairdresser service. I had 3 different persons dealing with my hairs...because most of the time they where to busy with Spanish costumers. I paid over 77 euro. And both female hairdressers they pulled and tugged at my hair.. cutting the ends of the hair took maybe five minutes for her... sitting and no standing...

May 2023 Here we are again at another location of the El Cortes department store in Spain. Food and wine boutique, clothing, purses, shoes, kitchenware, restaurant....The purpose tonight was to eat supper at the restaurant. Good food, but the service was slow as they served you at the table. Fancy and clean bathrooms at the restaurant. The fanciest baby change room I have ever seen. Also, a play area for the kids. They thought of everything.

Now THIS is a great department store. Wide and spacious, nice and helpful staff and a great choice in a multitude of things. I particularly love the roof terrace for a quick lunch break or a relaxing coffee break between shopping spells. To top it all, it's got the best free-of-charge car park which is easy to access.

One of the best El Corte Inglés that we have been in. A modern building with good shallow rise escalators and lifts. The cafe / restaurant served excellent food at a good price. A great selection of anything you could need at the usual ECI higher than average prices, but who can blame them. A great place to shop all under one roof. The parking was free, which astounded us both.

Avoid Friday afternoons as it becomes unpleasantly packed. Generally good and friendly service and post purchase service. The cafeteria above has good views but it's a little on the expensive side.

Never been in a place like it. Puts new meaning on "everything under the one roof"

I love this store. It's just like John Lewis. Its very clean. I bought a few items and even went to restaurant to have a drink afterwards. What's really bizarre it was 1 minute walk from my hotel I would definitely recommend them

If you don't have time to waste searching for your shopping items, go straight to this place! You can find pretty much everything there. The items are a bit pricey, but the place is fabulous. The only negative thing is the staff, they are not too friendly (most of them).

Huge place for shopping, probably anything you would need you can buy here. There is also a big supermarket inside.

It's El Corte Inglés. It has everything you would expect, the service you would expect and on a day like today, air conditioning is very welcome!

An upmarket department store. Not particularly good, and far from cheap.

Ordered a waldolph salad which is new on the menu, don't try it. You get 3 walnuts, 2 grapes, 2 pieces of turkey, a clump of mayo and the rest is iceburg lettuce. Awful.

The main attraction here is probably Corte inglés. They have a lot of items available for sale and you can definitely walk around for quite a long time and get an exercise in. There are several great places to sit down and relax and they even have a cafe and a restaurant on site.

We found it too large a building. That said it had everything you could want under one roof.

Friendly staff and good selection for a modest budget. For big brands Coruña or Vigo are better but this one is just fine!

High prices - waste of time, rude services. Feels like people work for a commission

Good hypermarket...but they are not open on sundays as mentioned in google.

Huge store with everything you can imagine (clothes, electronics and even furniture). Unfortunately nobody I asked could speak proper English or tried to be helpful. The store is far from the city centre and difficult to reach with public transport. No taxis available in front of the store.

As of right now they are on sale or rebajas. I walked in to buy a birthday gift for my boyfriend. The sales associate is very attentive. I believe her name is Lorena, at first she asked me if I needed help finding a size, she then rung me up, gave me a gift receipt, and then wrapped all the gifts. She and I made some small talk, she’s very friendly and helpful.
