The food here is great, with lots of variety and a consistent quality every time I go. The warmth of the staff, even in the weeds, makes this place stand out. I am partial to the outdoor terrace in the the front, it's my favorite spot on the premises. If you go, make sure you order a Tarta de la Viña for dessert. I suggest you reserve it as soon as you sit, they tend to run out fast.

Nice restaurant and great patio. The paella was to die for, the squid entrees were good as well. They only have spanish beer so id you are looking for presidentes you will not have them here. Gin and tonic was excellent and cheap!

Buena comida: El Gallego Mariscada was very good, pricie but very generous and full of flayor, we also ordered Fettuccine a la gallega and was also very good. The first visit: Service was not impressive at all, waiter was not friendly, not service oriented, no polite at all, felt on the order and in my opinion even rude. 2nd Visit: The waiter was called Andy, exceptional service. Ambiance of this place is very nice (in donning, out front, out on the back) and also good food. The BAD: Lay back administration. You can't order in advance items like paella. Short on diet softdrinks. The acoustics inside is a dissaster, 2 nights in a row and once you get a noisy table then you won't be able to talk.

Excellent place to go with family, share friends or for a business lunch. Delicious Spanish food, good wines and excellent service. I recommend the front terrace area to share a good wine with friends, the pool area for breakfast, lunch or dinner with the family and the indoor area for a business lunch or dinner.

The restaurant is located in a large villa, with a corresponding terrace, garden and pool areas. The dining areas are situated in various large rooms that provide a more intimate feel than the average restaurant space. There is also a small bar area. The menu offers a comprehensive selection of Spanish and in particular Gallegos specialities, including all varieties of meat as well as seafood. There is an extensive tapas menu, which offers an alternative to more traditional starter/main/dessert option, I opted for a series of tapas, all of which were excellent. Being a Sunday lunchtime it was packed and not having a reservation, we had to wait a while for a table, but sat at the bar where we were able to order some plates to share as well as drinks whilst waiting. Overall the atmosphere, food and service was top notch, but if you are at all impatient, I would certainly advise making a booking at the weekends.

My sister and I enjoyed catching up with each other lives in the lovely courtyard. The weather was perfect to be seated outdoors. We ordered many different tapas as we couldn't decide on just a few. Everything was delicious. The same goes for the wine and the espumante we drank. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Great place for Spanish food, the bar is top notch and the back terrace at night with live music is amazing. Frequented by some of the most famous artist in DR, they sometimes take the stage improvising a fantastic show that feels like you are in 5 concerts at once.

What a place for Spanish flair. Here you have your choice of fine dining or light, energy filled outdoors with night with live music... The food and tapas, outstanding. There is the obvious great selection of wines. Go with friends and have an amazing time.

Live music on Saturday night. It's an Earth & Sea type of restaurant and one of best representators of the true Spanish cuisine. Everything is excellent here, although if I were you I'd take the Sea food, because I feel that's where they have a stronger menu. The portions are also very generous, so don't think because you're paying about $10-15 bucks for a plate you'll be able to eat it all! 😂🍽️

Paella Marinara! I'll be back to try other dishes; the Paella will be hard to beat. Whether you dine inside, out front amongst the trees, or in back by the pool, you'll find something you'll like. If you can't decide, sit at the bar until inspiration hits you!

Excellent choice of traditional Spanish food in the city of Santo Domingo. The restaurant is located in a charming Casona from the 50s, which retains its original architecture and is surrounded by beautiful vegetation of centuries-old trees and is located with an excellent visual in front of the square of culture, has outdoor seating and interior. The acces is via Av. Maximo Gomez or George Washington. The Menu offers the classics from the spanish cusine: tapas, paellas, fidua, lamb, seafood... Medium price quality ratio.

I love this restaurant and have been several times. Attentive service, a beautiful outdoor seating that allows for plenty of spacing between tables, and most importantly really high quality Spanish food.

Everything was quite lovely, but I would have also liked something like grilled vegetables on the menu.

It’s always busy, especially at lunchtime on the weekends. You can reserve a table in advance, but they won’t hold it for long, so be punctual. On Sundays, reservations are until 1:30 PM, after that time, you are seated on order of arrival, and you will find a queue. It’s a Spanish restaurant, so that’s the type of food you’ll find here. Everything is delicious. The paellas are especially delicious. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and I still haven’t found a dish I didn’t love.

Large restaurant with multiple sections - one inside, one just outside with a few tables under a tree, and another patio inside near the pool area. Very good selection of tapas, paellas, and other Spanish delicacies.

A ton of very cute outdoor seating and the overall décor was very nice. We ordered grilled fish, a Spanish tortilla, and pork with fig and sherry sauce (recommended). Prices were reasonable and we would go back for sure.

The pork belly paella was on point!!! The restaurant is a great choice for those who appreciate Spain's cuisine. The patio offers an air of the 1950's Santo Domingo. The house is an elegant space that goes with the service, food and drinks.

EL Gallego is a great restaurant for a special occasion. There is delicious food, good service and fantastic ambiance. The bill for our group of 5 was around $300 USD. That included a bottle of wine, appetizers, coffee and dessert.
