Her entire operation is top notch; Vanessa and the staff are very professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with. The entire experience from my first outreach to Vanessa, to being dropped off at the airport on the way back to US was perfect. I choose Dr Reyes based on her qualification and the overwhelming amount of positive reviews from all over the world. I spoke to surgeons in Miami and the quote was 4-5 times higher. I was a last minute shoe-in when someone else canceled their appointment because of COVID. There is usually a 6mth wait to see her. It has been only 7 month since the procedure. I had opted for 2500 grafts but Dr Reyes added a few more on her own. Thank you. She added hair to a few corners which I did not expect. Her ability to plan the procedure based on 20+ years of experience is the primary reason why my results have been beyond my expectations. I waited 10 years too long to do this. Wow! She is amazing. She is very open and honest. Whereas some Turkish clinic (Heva) promised me they would make me look new again, 4,000 grafts, she gave me realistic expectations and thoroughly explained my options. Prices are reasonable as well- lower than what some of the other top-tier doctors are charging. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to be honest. It also doesn’t hurt that she is located in a beautiful country with wonderful people. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

My experience with Doctor Alba Reyes was phenomenal.! Pre-surgery all of my questions were answered and her assistant Vanessa is super helpful. The day of surgery Doctor Reyes was great in telling me what to expect and what the procedure was going to be like that day. Honestly, as soon as the IV was in I fell asleep for 8 hours! I felt no pain--nothing! I didn't even realize (wasn't awake) for the local anesthesia when it was inserted into my head. Great experience. Post-surgery they gave me all instructions and its been 10-days and they are always available to answer questions and guide me in this process. I am extremely happy I decided to go with Doctor Alba Reyes- living here in the states (NY) these procedures are so expensive. Dr. Reyes is fully certified and has tons of experience in this area and her prices are more affordable then prices in the states where I have personally seen and heard of less pleasant experiences. I did an FUE hair transplant last week on Tuesday, Sept 14th and my experience with the procedure was top-notch. I recently had my hair transplant done by Dr Reyes and I must say that the experience was amazing. I was very concerned as I traveled all the way from the USA to do the procedure. The process was flawless. The day prior to the surgery, Vanessa contacted me to let me know the exact time for me to arrive at the office. When I arrived I met with the cardiologist who examined me to make sure I was fit for the procedure. He was very professional and spoke to me about what to expect for the day. I then met with Vanessa to go over the protocol for the day. She did a very thorough job explaining the process, the procedure and the aftercare. I was very thankful as she made me feel at ease since I was a bit nervous. I then met with the anesthesiologist, who was very professional and thorough in explaining the anesthesia for the procedure. She explained that she was going to use local anesthesia along with a sedative to help me sleep through the entire procedure. When I was finished with her I met with Dr Reyes. She was very friendly and helpful. She asked me a few questions about me expectations and drew up my hairline accordingly. A few minutes after meeting with Dr Reyes I was escorted to the operating room and fell asleep almost immediately. The procedure went very smoothly and I did not experience any pain whatsoever. I then went to the recovery room, ate a sandwich that they provided and after about an hour went to my hotel room. They asked me to come back the next day to remove my bandages. I must say that this was as good an experience as I could have expected. I experienced no pain at all and the recovery has been great! I still haven’t seen the results as I only had the procedure done four weeks ago but I wanted to write about my great experience. I highly recommend coming to Dr Reyes. The care I received was to notch at a fraction of the USA price.

(Review for 2nd Transplant: March 2022) I highly recommend Dr. Alba and her team (Vanessa and Rafa) as their services and the results are incredible and consistent. In my first transplant 2500 grafts were transplanted to fix my hair line and address hair loss in the front. This left my vertex still uncovered. After 8 months my results were incredible and I went from Norwood 4 to having thick full hair at the front which look completely natural. At about 8 months I checked in with Vanessa to ask about my vertex and they said I could come in for a 2nd procedure which would give me full coverage this time. The booking, detail to attention, responsiveness was all 5 stars and excellent and similar to what I experienced the first time. Since this was my 2nd time Vanessa even upgraded me for free to a fancier hotel with amazing food and luxurious rooms. It has now been a week and my head is healing in a similar way to last time. I got an FUE hair transplant in March, 2021 and travelled to Santo Domingo from the USA. 2500 follicles (each follicle has up to 3 hairs) were transplanted from my donor area to the front and top of my head. I will describe my experience below. Initial Inquiries: First of all I did a lot of research and contacted several clinics all over the world (in Turkey, USA, Mexico as well as Dr. Alba Reyes). Vanessa from Dr. Alba Reyes' office was the most responsive person. She contacted me on whatsapp and was very clear about what to expect realistically. I asked them hundreds of questions as I was very unsure and they gave me detailed answers from their experience as well as from the medical literature. No other institute communicated with me in such detail and with so much concern. Booking, Appointment and Schedule: The booking process was extremely simple. Vanessa checked her schedule and found an open date for me. They have several packages and the one I chose included a stay at Hotel Barcelo which is close to the clinic, pick-up and drop-off from airport and to and from the clinic and also include breakfast and dinner. Day 1: arrival, Day2: surgery, Day 3: Checkup, Day 4: Return flight. The Surgery: The surgery went very smoothly. Dr. Alba, drew out the hairline and explained the areas where they were going to take the donor hairs from and where they would be transplanted. I had quite a lot of hair loss so the team had explained to me that they will start at the hairline and move back. My vertex was not covered but the plan is that I will take minoxidil and finasteride and with the front and top covered we will wait and see how my hair loss progresses. After this initial examination, my head was shaved, we took some photos and then I went with the anesthesiologist and was given a light dose to make me slightly sleepy. My eyes were covered, there was some light ambient music and I felt like I was dreaming but could not really feel anything. Next thing I know I came to and the team told me the surgery was over. This actually lasted 6 hours but I did not feel a thing. I was taken to the post-op room and provided a nice meal. I am vegan so the team went out of their way to make me a very delicious tofu sandwich. Post-Op: I returned to the hotel right after the surgery and had gauze on my head. I was allowed to wear a bandana and so my head was not exposed and I could easily walk around without feeling conscious. The next day I went back to the clinic and Vanessa removed the gauze, washed my head and applied a fresh gauze. At night I removed the gauze and my head was already healing with no bleeding. I travelled home wearing a bandana.

I had a strip method hair transplant with PRP 3 years ago and I didn't get the full results I was hopeful for. I recently received transplant consultations to get my desired results; however, they all suggested the FUT (strip) procedure because I have curly hair. Given the long post-procedure recovery and the whole ordeal with caring for stitches in the back of my head that was likely going to have me just pass on the idea of a future hair transplant. However, I decided to look outside the U.S. based on a suggestion from a friend and I had a consultation with Dr. Alba Reyes and her office manager Vanessa. I was impressed by their knowledge and experience working with clients that have "kinky" and "curly" hair. I was also impressed at the confidence they had in their procedure that would not require the strip method. I thought this would surely be among the highest cost quotes but I was stunned to hear that the quote for 2700 grafts was a fraction of what I expected. I immediately booked my procedure before they could say they made a mistake. However, it was not mistake in the quote which also included hotel stay, meals, and transportation. That aside, I am now a couple of days past the procedure and so far what a difference. First, I can see that the density of the grafts is significantly greater than the first time. I can feel my scalp and I have no pain whatsoever. There is no drainage and no soreness. I wish I knew of Dr. Reyes 3 years ago and hopefully this review will save others who are considering a transplant from going through the strip method if they can avoid it and get better results.
