For context, I lived in Mexico for 3 years and ate a lot of tacos. These are, probably the closest to real Mexican street tacos I've had outside of Mexico. Except maybe in San Diego or LA. Maybe. The only thing I would change about the street tacos here would be having a little less beef, (just a little less) and adding a little guacamole on each taco. Guacamole first, then the hot sauce. Also the onions should be cut smaller. But im really getting technical. If you've never been to Mexico, these are basically legitimate mexican street tacos. I was presently surprised. A lot of people try and fail at this. Taqisa got it right. The nachos were also really good. Again, they could use some avocado chunks or guacamole. (there seems to be a little, maybe but not much) Also i would have gone with refried beans as opposed to black beans. but other wise, fantastic. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Uodate: We came back today. Had tacos al pastor, a fish taco, horchata, and those awesome nachos again. The pork in the al pastor tacos was perfect. They put the guacamole on the tacos perfectly. The onions were cut small. They were almost perfect. Then they put pineapple in the tacos. 😂 I'm sure islanders like pineapple in everything, but no Mexican is putting pineapple in al pastor. If you plan to keep doing that, please change its name on the menu. Aside from that, the tacos were perfect. The correct thing would be to add a splash of lime on top or leave a lime wedge on the plate so people can add it themselves. The horchata was fantastic. It could be watered down a little bit. It's very strong, but the recipe is right, and it tastes very good.

Awesome little place with one cozy seating outside in the afternoon. Good service by the team here. The grilled chicken quesadilla I had was good. The dips for the chips were tasty. The don’t have much choices on the menu other than tacos, quesadillas, nachos and some bowls, but plenty enough if you crave for Mexican food when you had enough of Balinese food.

We recommend coming here if you want Mexican food. As close to authentic as you'll get. We tried their Carne asada nachos and street tacos. Best nachos we've had in a long time. They do not skimp on the toppings or the beef. Chips are fresh and very good. The street tacos were delicious per my husband very close to the street tacos in Mexico. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. I really liked the feel of the inside. Will come again! Horchata is delicious! Must try!

We came for breakfast and got so much food as if for lunch ) we had no regrets! Everything is delicious, natural flavors, beautiful dishes, courteous service, caring staff who love their culture and of course understand the food served here. I highly recommend the nachos.

First off the service here is solid. They are working extremely hard to make sure your experience here is good. The food, is good. I would probably only recommend the nachos with spicy pork. We also had the salad with shredded chicken, I do not recommend that. Prices are high for cocktails and would stick to beer. But overall good environment, solid food and it was extremely busy. (Good sign).

I had 2 fish tacos and 2 shredded chicken tacos.. both were delicious but the fish was my favourite! will definitely come back and try more. 🤤🌮

I was recommended this place and as my husband and I love Mexican, I thought we'd try it on our very last day in Bali. So glad we made time to visit, as we where not disappointed. Great little place but lovely decor, very clean and tidy. Lots of great dishes are available on the menu. Food was superb, with great portions, and all fresh ingredients. Husband had a chicken tinga burrito and I had the potatoes taquitos. The hot sauce is homemade, and my husband has a collection of hot sauce, so he couldn't leave without buying some as it is delicious, flavourful and is his new favourite. The staff were so helpful, ensuring it was all sealed nicely for our luggage. Highly recommend this place.

Great authentic Mex Food

The experience was amazing. I never thought I would find an authentic Taqueria in Indonesia. I was actually happy all the way through the meal. I recommend the nachos carne asada and the Margarita. The salsa, the hot sauce, and even the chilli flakes are just right, something I never noticed anywhere else. Great place to go with friends, have a few nachos and tacos, and a few drinks. The service is awesome. To note, this is a place to have tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadilla, and the likes. That's it. No fried chicken, no fried rice, no pizza, or whatever. But trust me, you don't need other menu...

Although I was born and raised in Korea, I have never eaten tacos like this in Korea (not in South America, of course), even though I have traveled abroad a lot. The chewiness of tacos, which are really neat and delicious, and the original taste of Mexico (presumed to be), is the best! The atmosphere is good, and I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch in Sanur! The only downside is that it is a bit more expensive than expected.

Awesome little place with simple, fresh and healthy Mexican. Dietary requirements listed clearly on the menu. Several vegan filling options that can be applied to different dishes. I had the a la cart tacos so I could try each of the vegan ones - the soft tacos were corn based, soft and great flavour. The chipotle tofu is a highlight, but I also loved the corn and the mushroom fillings too. Also had a rosella iced tea with lime. Lovely friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Great little restaurant with plenty of good seating inside and Air Con. Couple running the restaurant are lovely. Trio of salsa's with chips and I got the smaller size was a great starter and the 3 tacos with rice and beans were excellent. Baja Fish -fried fish with spicy mayo was very good indeed. Fish was nice and moist Al Pastor - shredded pork was lovely Carne Asada- chopped steak and zero complaints there. The rice was really interesting. The owner puts Coriander/Cilantro in it and lime juice. Uses local Balinese rice as too expensive to get rice from Mexico and why would you when Balinese rice is excellent. Very different tasting and first time I have ever had rice like that. I liked it a lot. Overall, a really nice, well run and great restaurant to try in Sanur.

Fantastic food, the best Mexican restaurant we've visited in South East Asia! The chips and dip were excellent, nice thin and crispy tortilla chips and the dips were all super flavourful with different spice levels. The tacos were delicious with lots of filling options to choose from (including 3 different vegetarian options) and the margaritas were great too. Really cool vibes as well so highly recommend checking it out.

If you like spicy, then you'll like Taqisa. We ordered the chips and salsa. I found the salsa quite hot. We love tacos, and we ordered 12 tacos between 4 people. The shredded chicken, bean and corn, spicy pork, and the steak. I accidentally ate the spicy pork and was on fire. I don't like spicy at all, this really ruined the meal for me. My husband loves spicy he said it was great. I ordered a horchata, it was very nice and helped sooth my lips and mouth. Overall, it was well priced, a nice vibe, and very busy.

Really yummy tacos and one of the few Horchatas that actually tasted like Horchatas. The food tastes fresh and the ambience actually reminds me of a lot of Mexican taquerias ive been to in Chicago. The price is a tad higher than most for a casual place, but the food is totally worth it, as it is quite difficult to find good Mexican food in Asia in general

Discovered this place by accident. Eaten here probably 25 times food is excellent and consistent. Kitchen and dinning area is clean! Beer is cold chips just like the real chips they have in Mexico. Would definitely recommend.

I've been here 3-4 times so far. Their salad is my favorite one. Their burritos has rice in it, if you don't want to use rice you can replace it with others vegetable. Nice and clean as always. Their staff are kind and don't hesitate to offering information about their food. Good/safe place for single, couple or family. Def will come back. Keep up the good work!

Had a late lunch here. They had promo, 15k for a Taco. So, we ordered several Tacos and one Nachos. They were all delicious! They gave free water (and refill). The staffs were friendly. Definitely will be back here if I want to eat some tacos!

Pretty darn good Mexican food! We had the carne asada tacos, carnitas tacos and chips and salsa… washed down with a rosella iced tea! As people who lived in Mexico for over 14 years, our expectations are pretty high when we eat this cuisine, and this place passed the test! I came in for dinner on a Tuesday night (taco Tuesday!) and TLDR: the food was superb. I'm from CA and yes, these tacos passed the test! The carnitas were my favorite, though the chorizo, carne asada, and Al pastor tacos were also delicious. I was also thrilled that they had horchata (a rice milk drink with cinnamon and spices, if you've never tried it you should!) - such a perfect accompaniment for the tacos. My dinner companions had margaritas and the 'baja' fish tacos and we're very satisfied. "Why not five stars?" you ask. Well, firstly, it took over 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we had sat down. It was my first time there so I didn't know if they had waiters or if you were supposed to go directly to the cashier and no one said anything. The restaurant was PACKED so they may have been out of practice, but still you need to greet your guests. Secondly, I went for the taco Tuesday deal that everyone (you can see in the previous reviews) talked about - 15k/taco. When I ordered (at the register) and saw the price on the screen I asked why they were full price and I was told that they were no longer doing that promo. I went ahead and got the tacos at full price. But then after my dinner companions finished ordering they told me that they had gotten a deal for two tacos and a margarita! Why hadn't the cashier told me about other promos that were available when the one I wanted had been decommissioned? I totally would've had a margarita. I was a little disappointed. In the end I'd definitely get tacos again, but I would ask first if there are any promos I need to know about.

By far the best Mexican food we have had in Asia. I am from San Francisco which has some of the best Mexican food around and this was exactly what I needed in Bali to feel like I am back home. Delicious food. The beans were the best I’ve tried in Bali. And as we left my husband finished our date night by saying “that was some damn good food”. I’ll be back!!!

Recently moved from Seminyak to Sanur but even when I was in the other side of Bali we’d drive over to Taqisa when we needed a taco fix. There are now numerous taco places in Bali but Taquisa is legit, Mexican American owned, very cool design, super friendly staff, and most of all fairly priced, consistently tasty tacos and burritos.
