I studied in the sector in the 80s and met Professor Euclides Fontoura da Silva Junior, a great friend and also a tireless fighter in Defense of Education and the Great Caucuses of Our Nation. I would be sad about the terrible time we had with BolsoGangue in power. APPROVED #LulaLivre

The UFPR Museum of Natural Sciences is a space intended for the integration of teaching, research and extension activities aimed mainly at primary and secondary education, and was designed by professor Euclides Fontoura da Silva Junior. The site maintains a permanent exhibition with biological collections that contain representatives of the large groups of living beings that make up our fauna and flora and also specimens from other regions preserved in liquid, taxidermied, dried, skeletons, models and replicas. Some of the animals on display are close to Silva, such as stick insects, snakes, lizards, turtles, fish, amphibians, spiders... In addition to the material on display, they also have scientific collections of Zoology (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, mollusks and forams) and Paleontology (iconology, vertebrates and invertebrates), which can be consulted by researchers.

Relatively quick tour, with parking, free access. It's worth the visit. Children like it. Easy access, located at the Polytechnic/UFPR - Biological Sector. Among the interesting items are bone records of birds, dinosaurs and hominids.

The university should invest more in the space that houses the museum. To attract more visitors and thus collaborate with the transmission of knowledge to the community.
