The extra bed is not comfortable, you can feel the iron springs in the mattress. The bathroom had a chipped bathtub and the toilet seat was loose. It was a bit outdated but it brought charm. It was clean and that’s what’s most important. Nice views with ping pong table, outside lounge area, a nice pool with beds, a bar.. Breakfast was amazing. Very kind staff. Close to Sao Vicente for food, i recommend pub ferro velho. Or Funchal, 35 min ride for better food.

Hotel is beautiful but they take any excuse to get money out of you. They charged us 67 euros on our small bag of laundry without us knowing which was absolutely ridiculous. No communication at all. I wouldn’t come here again. Also, there was a lizard crawling around in my bed on the first day I got there… Not even kidding.

The room was cute with a breathtaking view! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great for what we wanted - secluded, nestled in a valley between towering mountains. Great amenities and overall great value for cost. Would stay here again :)

Small and no clean rooms. Also, the fitness and spa area were very dirty. In addition, we got the wrong room in the first place. When we talked to the staff and manager, they were not friendly at all and did not come up with a solution. We paid quite a lot of money, but it's not worth your money, and it's not a 4-star hotel!!!

The location is great and the staff were friendly. The room was pretty nice and the view from the hotel was great. Plenty of parking available in their parking lot but could also park on the street if it was full. Would definitely visit again.

We had a short stay, but it was a very good one. Kind staff, amazing buffet in the morning and we had a lot of Fun doing some late night minigolf and some fitness.

Guter Standort um Wanderungen zu unternehmen. Der Zimmerservice war leider sehr schlecht. Die Betten wurden zwar täglich gemacht aber das Bad und auch der Boden wurden sehr schlecht, bis gar nicht gereinigt. Generell muss man sagen, dass die Zimmer in einem alten Zustand sind. Eine Sanierung wäre da definitiv angebracht. Die alten Federbetten sind total unbequem und auch das "Licht " im Bad müsste verbessert werden. Dort ist sehr dunkel. Der Pool hat eine angenehme Temperatur und lädt zum Schwimmen ein. Das Frühstück Buffet ist gut ausgerichtet.

Nachdem unser Flug aufgrund des Wetters gestrichen wurde, bekamen wir hier spontan zwei Zimmer. Die freundliche Begrüßung machte den Stress des Tages wieder vergessen, die Zimmer waren charmant eingerichtet. Das Frühstück solide. Preis/Leistung auf jeden Fall top!

Hotel liegt sehr schön in der Bergen, sehr nette Personal. Sehr Freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Zimmer haben bißchen alte Möbel, aber sauber und fast alle haben sehr schöne Blick auf Meer und Berge. Besonders schon Blick auf die Fatima Kapelle. Sehr gut für die Wanderung.

Sehr sehr freundliches Personal! Konnten alle perfekt Englisch. Sonderwünsche beim Frühstück (vegan und glutenfrei) waren möglich. Allgemein war das Ambiente sehr familiär, das Hotel hat sehr viel Charme! Leider einen Stern Abzug, da die Fenster im Zimmer undicht waren und es reingeregnet hat. Ausserdem gab es leider keine Minibar/Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Und im Badezimmer waren Schimmelansätze (bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und keiner Lüftungsmöglichkeit nicht verwunderlich). Aber die herzliche Art aller Mitarbeiter hat das wieder „gut gemacht“.

Unclean room, common facilities are worn out, or broken. Lunch was terrible and it seemed we were disturbing the waitress, breakfast products seemed from the supermarket. What a pity, this could have been a nice hotel but it’s completely let go, especially compared to all the other quintas we have been until now.

TLDR: Be careful, if you go to this hotel you are going to live with roaches. Full story: We arrived at a hotel and were nicely greeted. This hotel does not have room numbers. It has room names and receptionist had hard time describing where our room actually was. Finally we find our room. Bathroom door does not work. It cannot be closed. So if you want to poop alone. Tough luck, you are going to poop with friends. I went to complain, they promised to send maintenance guy to fix it. Second day comes, door is not fixed. Toilet flushing system breaks. I go to complain again. Next day after we come back, toilet flushing system was fixed but it broke again after a little while. Also there is an electrical socket in the room that shuts off when you shut off lights. So you cant charge your phone overnight. There was a nice girl receptionist that in the end, gave us another room. At last! That room had toilet door that can be closed, and flushing mechanism that works. Of course room is far from 4star hotel experience. This room also has the same electrical socket wired this way so i could not charge my phone. Sink tap constantly dripping, shower head pipe is broken, both rooms stink of mould. But whatever, got tired of constantly complaining, just decide to stay in that room. Oh and extra blanket had a hole in it... On our last day, cherry-on-top: huge fast cockroach in bathroom running around. I go to reception and the guy's response is - it's ok... Seriously? roach is ok? More bad things: hotel restaurant does not work(apparently understaffed) and since this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, there are no restaurants that serve food in the evening. Beware! Restaurant that hotel pointed us to always closes at 17. So not really a place for dinner. Breakfast: Buffet was fine, if you want omlette or fried egg, you have to order separately. But when you order, you never know what you gonna get. It is always going to be burned, but sometimes burned and overcoocked, sometimes burned and raw. I kept ordering, hoping for them to make a good egg but it never arrived. Good things: hotel is in a quiet part of island, girl receptionist was very nice and helpful, good selection of fruits on breakfast, there is a very friendly cat running around hotel and you can play with it if you like cats...
