😐 What once (before the civil war) was a beatifull passage filled with Bosnian handmade items is now a tourist-trap filled with overpriced low-quality (99% fake) articles sold by agressive sellers. Everything you find here, you will find at any other shop for 30% of the price. As a local, I avoid it... People often mention shops, shopping, souvenirs, nice, bazaar, small, find, visit, building,

I really recommend this game lace it’s a well preserved historical place in Sarajevo. If you come here you would feel like you were taken bake in time it’s a very cool experience shopping here✨ The stalls have many souvenirs and bands dupes e.g hand bags, shoes and accessories.. However a great tip that I learned is when shopping here try and buy stuff that has price tag on them instead of asking for the price because shop owners might raise the prices if you were a tourist 😆 A second thing don’t be shy to negotiate the price of things you want to buy 😉 Overall it’s a cool place to visit

Gazi Husrev Bey’s Bezistan (covered bazaar), also called Old Bezistan and Great Bezistan, is part of Gazi Husrev Bey’s vakuf (endowment). It is presumed that the structure was built around 1540. During the Ottoman period, the shops inside traded textiles and the outdoor shops, which ran along the eastern side of the building on Gazi Husrev Bey Street, belonged to the metalworkers’ čaršija and gold and silver jewelry was produced and sold here. There are four entrances to the bazaar: two come from Gazi Husrev Bey’s Street, one is on Ferhadija and another on Branilaca Sarajeva. Another structure, Tašlihan (Stone Inn), was built at the same time as Bezistan. Built along the western wall, the inn made the bazaar a unique complex, which was at the center of trade in Sarajevo during the Ottoman period. After being badly damaged during a fire in 1879, a large portion of Tašlihan was knocked down. The remains of the inn now comprise part of Hotel Europe’s summer garden.

Building is amazing , historical place ... but it will be better if shops are not full with fake Chinese or Turkish stuff such as bags and souvenirs . I am happy to see a few shops with autentical Bosnians souvenurs.

The structure itself is nice and historic. But the way it is used in this day and age is atrocious. Cheep knock off purses and shades. And mass produced souvenirs from Middle East and Turkey ,that have nothing to do with Sarajevo and local culture. All being sold from little overstocked shops the also have huge racks in front of them, that makes it almost impossible to walk through.

The environment is beautiful. The food is very good. The service is excellent and it is super well located, next to the cathedral.

It is a beautiful historical building that is equipped with many small shops. Most of the time there are shops with counterfeit brands of good quality goods. I would like to see more local goods sold and not Chinese goods that are offered everywhere. Big disadvantage, like almost everywhere, people smoke inside, even though it's a closed place. The local people are used to it but the tourists can't tolerate cigarette smoke in closed rooms or are simply not used to it, especially Europeans. Otherwise very nice building.

A very nice place to buy souvenirs. Only the prices of the products are very expensive. I can say that it is overrated.

A traditional bazaar in the middle of Sarajevo. I liked the small shops old style, the prices and the architecture of the old Turkish style building.

A very old Ottoman type of Bazaar where you can find incredible souvenirs in between a tight corridor of castle like stone walls. You will find magnets and local jewelery and some clothes and all kind of coffee cups and Bosnian souvenirs here.

The old market in Baščaršija what's let you enjoy feeling that you are in the past markets . Wish that also sale representatives are uniformed in folclor dress so joy for costumers will be better

As with all the Gazi Husrev beg legacy, the wonder is in the beauty of the place. I cannot comment on the quality of the shopping because that was not the purpose of my visit.

my eye immediately noticed this unusual piece of jewelry, I was amazed that among all these almost identical shiny things I saw this small shop, my day immediately got better, I bought a necklace, two bracelets, earrings, a ring....

Старый крытый турецкий рынок с многовековой историей. Впечатляет. Впечатляет и то, что продают там. Ювелирка и различные подделки под "фирму".
