    An ordinary corner of Sarajevo has the sad honor of having been the scene, in 1914, of an event of historical relevance: the attack and murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria (heir to the crown of the Austro-Hungarian Empire)... with which considers that the events of the First World War begin.

    You can almost walk right by this spot (as we literally did in the morning) without realizing the historical significance of this location. It really looks like nothing out of the ordinary but you can find some interpretive plaques around 2 of the 4 corners.
