Very good initiative. Sharing some history of rock music in former Yugoslavia and keeping the rock spirit alive. It is a new museum and needs as much support as it can get. If you are into music, I would highly recommend a visit. 😊

If you really want to feel the heart of people from Sarajevo, Ex-Yu rock is just the core. The place is not really fancy, but it kinda shouldn’t be. Love it!

Kudos to your enthusiasm, I'm 98 years old, but it's like I was in my 80s for a moment...

An excellent museum of ex-yu rock and pop. I recommend taking up to 2 hours for the tour because of the many interesting texts, pictures, objects (old school museum). The only complaint is to expand the EKV section a little and add Haustor and Azra

A must-visit for everyone who enjoys ex-Yu pop-rock music, great trip down memory lane with so many unique pieces and memorabilia from the good old times. And the young man who works there is one of the kindest people you’ll meet. Strongly recommend!

Amazing place. They shed light on a pretty unknown albeit extremely interesting part of the history of Sarajevo for all of us travellers. The Ex-Yu Rock scene was probably the best in Europe besides the UK one and it's a shame more people in Western Europe don't know about it. The amount of creativity and musical talent that burst in Sarajevo during the second half of the 20th century was sadly overshadowed by the latter tragic events in the country, but these guys are making sure that this unbelievable side of their cultural scene is not forgotten about. Besides, this is not just another screen/movie museum, the amount of work and effort they've put into collecting valuable items actually showcase the story they're telling in all of its authenticity. They care about Sarajevo and its legacy, which is better understood after a visit to the Ex-Yu Rock Center. Special mention to Freddy and Igor for their outstanding work. They really go that extra mile to make visits an enjoyable experience.

A must do for any visit to Sarajevo. A brilliant cultural centre/museum, and completely unique in Sarajevo. Does a fantastic job of shedding light on the extraordinary Ex-Yu music scene, telling a story unknown to many tourists. Huge work has gone in to collect memorabilia, gather and present concert footage, and explain the characters from the scene. Friendly, informative and dedicated staff. The Centar also has a performance space to host gigs.

Awesome. The Ex YU rock centar is showcasing the rich rock and roll history of Sarajevo, Bosnia, and the whole region - It’s also a place for contemporary culture and great events, including live music. Highly recommended for locals and visitors to Sarajevo. The Yugoslavian rock scene is incredibly interesting and full of great characters and history, and most importantly great music - you can learn all about it here also from the friendly and motivated staff. Best new thing in Sarajevo!

A fantastic collection and journey through music at Ex-Yu Rock Centar! This is a newer museum space that has a thoughtfully curated and diverse collection spanning several decades of music in (ex-)Yugoslavia, with lots to see, read, learn, listen to and enjoy! Whether you are a local who wants an amazing experience down memory lane or a tourist who wants to dig in and learn more about pop culture and music in Bosnia and other areas of former Yugoslavia, or just a straight-up music lover – do set aside an hour or two to visit Ex-Yu Rock Centar. The entry fee is very fair and the friendly guides are highly knowledgeable, clearly passionate about music and all that it can encompass and celebrate!

Predivno mjesto gdje mladi ljudi kao ja mogu saznati kako je bilo prije u bivšoj Jugoslaviji.

A very interesting and inspiring exhibition about the music of a time. We had the opportunity to see first-hand records, tapes, newspaper clippings, awards and many other things related to musicians and bands ex yu rock scene. The guide is very kind and provides certain knowledge and interesting things that we cannot find on the internet.

The center itself is very interesting, there is so much information that you don't even have time to read everything. What raised the whole impression was the gentleman who took the time to take us through the center and tell us anecdotes and interesting things that we had not known before :) Worth a visit!

Wonderful ambience, decorated with taste and measure. A special and very beautiful exhibition for all fans of the ex yu rock scene, but also for those who may not be part of that story, because what the ex yu rock center has is unique and priceless. A large content of pictures, costumes, records, newspaper records, personal letters, anecdotes of numerous musicians and groups, etc. In addition to all this, the guide is first class, as polite and professional as possible, and yet with a quality dose of humor to implement everything for his visitors who are surely hearing it for the first time for some things concerning ex yu rock scene, i am among them. An unforgettable experience that is worth repeating whenever the opportunity arises. Till next meeting!
