I have booked the Fall of Yugoslavia tour and I must admit it was very interesting. We have visited the Yellow Fortress (with a breathtaking view of Sarajevo), 1984 Winter Olympics infrastructure (what’s left of it) and the Tunnel of Life (Hope). The guide Agan was very friendly and definitely knowledgeable, telling everyone all he could about the fall of Yugoslavia and the siege of Sarajevo. I would very much recommend Meet Bosnia Tours if you’re visiting Sarajevo! Thank you. UPDATE. The following day I have booked the Srebrenica genocide memorial tour and I was very pleased that Agan was the guide again. He was so knowledgeable and talked us through the terrible events of July 1995. It was a very emotional trip- it’s a must to do when visiting Bosnia. Thank you so much again Agan- you made my visit to Sarajevo very enjoyable and I feel like I’ve met a friend. Please don’t hesitate to book any tour with Meet Bosnia - they’re professionals and they will give you the best insight in the rich history of the country.

Meet Bosnia tour guide (& owner) Edin led a stellar tour around Sarajevo. He gave an in depth, but succinct overview of the country’s history and most important moments before we started walking around the city. His heart warming passion and respect for his country and culture shone through every sentence. This tour, led by Eddie, was absolutely the best walking tour I ever had the pleasure of joining. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Must do!

I wish I could give more than five stars! We have done three tours with them and each of them was amazing. City tour with Edin, also the owner, entertains and informs you very well. You can see his enthusiasm about Sarajevo from the first minute on, he impresses you with his knowledge about the city and entertains you with short stories. All the restaurants he has suggested after the tour were jackpot! After that we have decided to do Fall of Yugoslavia tour with Ahmet, where they arrange transportation to several different spots in the city (e.g. hope tunnel, sniper alley, abondened bobsleigh) and guide informs you about the unfortunate events and genocide that took place 92-95. Although the topic itself and locations are quite sad, our guide helped us to understand what happened at that time and answered all our questions happily. At last, we have decided to see more places in the Herzegovina and decided to book a tour where they took us from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik and stopped at very nice locations. Highlights are Mostar, Jablanica, Blagaj but there are few more stops. We had a driver/guide Kenan, who not only drives very carefully but also knows the country very well and made our day an unforgettable one. I would definetly recommend joining the tours that are interesting for you with this company, where people do their job with great enthusiasm! Hope that stays and even evolves in this way!

We spent a great day with this professional company. We visited many beautiful and interesting places in one day. Excellent guide, careful driver and responsive operator. Special thanks to the operator, without his help we would have been lost in the city and would not have been able to return home.

I have booked four tours with "Meet Bosnia" agency between 24th-26th July 2022. The tours were: 1- Herzegovina (Mostar, Blagaj, Pocitelj & Kravice Falls). 2- Srebrenica. 3- Fall of Yugoslavia (Sarajevo Siege Tour). 4- Sarajevo Free Walking Tour. I had all my trips in Bosnia scheduled with "Meet Bosnia" because the whole process before the tours, the booking, the reception, and the payment were made by the staff quickly, smoothly, and clearly. Their communication was easy; they were active and responsive on WhatsApp and Email. The tours were with the guides Sanad, Adnan, Arna, and Hedaya; they were all very informative and easy to follow. Herzegovina tour with Sanad was magnificent, the nature, the culture, and the history. Sarajevo's walking tour with Hedaya was a chance to explore the old town's most famous attractions and sites. The fall of Yugoslavia tour was hard for sure, but I gained a lot of information and stories about that difficult time from Arna. Srebrenica trip; you think you already knew about it, but you don't. Seeing some of the tragedy in person on site, even at a different time, with Adnan's voice and body language, was tough. I highly recommend exploring Bosnia and Herzegovina by booking tours with "Meet Bosnia" agency.

The free walking tour in Sarajevo, guided by Edin, is an incredibly enriching experience. It is meticulously planned, easy to follow, and incredibly informative. Edin's friendly demeanor and excellent fluency in English make the tour even more engaging and accessible. If you're in Sarajevo, I highly recommend taking advantage of this insightful, well-conducted walk tour.

My brother and I joined the free walking tour the day after we arrived at Sarajevo, and it is the best walking tour I have taken anywhere in Europe. Our guide Arna (I hope I got her name right) is knowledgeable and passionate, and overall it was a very moving experience. Immediately after that we decided to sign up for the Fall of Yugoslavia tour the next day, and this time our guide is Ahmed. Ahmed is a walking history book who is not shy to share his opinions, and is also curious about each tour member’s background and viewpoints. So we were really happy when we discovered Ahmed is our guide again the next day when we took the full day tour to Hercegovina, together with the same cheerful driver. All in we took three tours with Meet Bosnia and we were very happy with all of them.

We were in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time, and decided to take the Sarajevo free walking tour. Our guide, Edin, was professional, informative, and entertaining. Our experience was so good that we decided to book the Siege of Sarajevo tour for the next day. Arna, our guide, had lived through the siege, and our driver was a veteran of the war. They shared their lived experiences; in doing so, really made an emotional connection with those of us on the tour. Critical that we remember and understand what happened in the past, so that we do not let history repeat itself again and again. The third day we took the Mostar Tour. (We had thought about booking the train to Mostar on our own, however there was only one, very early, departure, and the return from Mostar wouldn’t have been til late afternoon. So we booked with Meet Bosnia). And we are glad we took the Meet Bosnia Mostar tour. We were able to see many more sites than if we’d gone by train, and Vikki our guide was funny and able to provide explanations to what we saw, and answered all our questions. We have taken a lot of free walking tours (and paid tours) around the world, and this is one of the best organizations. The people are passionate and truly believe in what they’re doing, and you can tell. Good people, great company, Highly recommended.

You can feel that staff is friendly from the first phone contact, later confirmed by a very friendly employee of the agency, who kindly welcomes us. The offer is worth the money, because on the way to Mostar we visited several tourist spots (Konjic, Kravice waterfalls, Počitelj...), which is definitely not possible to do in one day on your own. Special praise to guide Kenan, who explains everything in excellent English. You find out all you need to know and more! Very friendly and caring towards the guests, we felt like we were on a trip with a friend. He always made sure that no one got lost or felt uncomfortable in any way. On my next visit through the agency, I will certainly request the same guide again. Thank you Meet Bosnia Tours for a great trip.

We did the 4 hours "Fall of Yugoslavia | Sarajevo Siege Tour" on 3rd April 2023 and can highly recommend it! Our tour guide ALEN explained everything very well and as the siege of Sarajevo took place during his childhood, he can also tell many incredible, touching and heartbreaking stories from his own experience. When we went to the Sarajevo war tunnel, Alen told us that the people even digged it with spoons and their hands when they had no other equipment. Every single person who has spent almost 4 years in besieged Sarajevo is a big hero! When we come to Sarajevo next time, we are looking forward to do again another tour with MEET BOSNIA. :-) Sandra & Armin

A few days ago I did the free walking tour with Edin. The best free tour I've ever experienced. A wonderful two hours walking around the city and learning about the history of Sarajevo. I liked this tour so much that I booked a paid tour about the siege/fall of Yugoslavia the next day with Agan. Again, this tour was wonderful and super well organized. I had the chance in the end to do the cable car, which was wonderful. Highly recommend Meet Bosnia Tours as a top company to book tours while staying in Sarajevo. Thanks for being one of the highlights of my trip!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Highly recommended. We took the one-way tour from Sarajevo to Belgrade, stopping at Viŝegrad and other interesting places along the way. The scenery was spectacular and our tour guide was fantastic. He was full of information about anything we asked, and he had no problem stopping to allow us to take photos or whatever we needed.

I had a fantastic time on two tours with Meet Bosnia Tours. First, the Free Walking Tour of Sarajevo with Ahmet was exceptional. His deep knowledge of the city’s history, from the Ottoman period to the Siege of Sarajevo, made the tour both informative and engaging. We explored key sites like Baščaršija, the Latin Bridge, and Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, and Ahmet’s storytelling really brought the city’s past to life. Next, we took the Herzegovina Tour with Senat, which was equally amazing. Senat guided us through the stunning landscapes of Herzegovina, including Mostar’s famous Stari Most, the Blagaj Tekke, and the historic town of Počitelj. His insights into the region’s cultural and historical mix added depth to every stop. Both guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about their regions. These tours were a great way to experience the heart and soul of Bosnia and Herzegovina! Highly recommended.

Took the tour to Srebrenica with Ago. He impressed with his calm, empathetic manner and extremely broad knowledge of politics, history and world affairs. There were 4 of us in total, the 2.5 hour journey in the minibus was quiet and safe and thanks to Ago the journey time was filled with a lot of information and background knowledge. Thank you for that!

We did the Dubrovnik to Sarajevo transfer tour with Nezir and it was absolutely amazing! I’ve taken a lot of tours across many countries and can say for sure that this was one of the best. Nezir is informative, thoughtful, and passionate about his country. We made some really interesting stops that spread out the day, and ended with a great dinner with beautiful views on the last leg to Sarajevo. We also did the walking tour in Sarajevo which was very worthwhile. No need to look any further for a tour company in and around Bosnia!

I did 3 tours with Meet Bosnia: Free Walking tour with Hidaya Fall of Yugoslavia with Ejub Mostar tour with Jasmin I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 tours. Hidaya, Ejub and Jasmin explained very well all the important history and facts about their country in a short period of time in a way that is easy to understand. Not that one tour is better than the other but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the Fall of Yugoslavia with Ejub. I could have done an additional 2 days with Ejub on that topic and continue learning about the siege.

We did the Mostar day tour, which included Konjic, Kravice waterfalls, Počitelj, Blagaj Tekke and Mostar City. It was a packed day with lots to see, with just the right amount of time to see each place. The guide and driver were amazing and they provided some pita sandwiches for a mid-day snack, along with arranging a börek meal on the way back to Sarajevo. The office staff are also very kind and professional. This tour was a 12-hour day so stay hydrated! We loved the company so much that we arranged a private transfer for our onward travel to Belgrade. A flawless experience and highly recommended.

What a great was to see the city and learn about the history, culture, and political information regarding Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole. I felt like this brief walking tour took me across the whole country and more than 200 years of history all in just two and a half hours. Our tour guide Arna was both funny and professional. She capably demonstrated her extensive knowledge while making sure the facts were easy to understand and relatable. We got to view some interesting locations and hear the details behind them and their storied past. 10/10 I would do this tour again thanks to Arna the best tour guide in Sarajevo!

A big thank you to the team at Meet Bosnia and our tour guide; Arna. We have booked a few tours and this one was the Islamic walking tour. Arna inhales and exhales this city. She had so much patience and knowledge that she even stopped to help bystanders and tourists. Her knowledge of history throughout the different eras gave us an appreciation of how Sarajevo has evolved. An essential tour for anyone who wants to appreciate the complex and multi layered Sarajevo.

We did the free tour of Sarajevo and our guide Arminia was the sweetest! The tour lasted about 3 hours walking around all important sights of Sarajevo. We even stopped in some boutiques and craft centres to discover some specialties of the area. It was extremely interesting, so detailed and Arminia added a lot of personal anecdotes which made it even more interesting. Arminia really puts soo much passion in what she does, and you can tell that for her, explaining about Sarajevo and Bosnia, is not a job but a love note to her country. She truly put all her heart in making us too appreciate this country. I will definitely suggest Bosnia as a travel destination to my contacts, and I hope for everyone to have Arminia as their guide. Thank you again!

We did the famous Mostar tour with the best guide in Bosnia - Muamer Logo. Honestly, I was blown away by the beauty of Bosnia but the highlight of the trip was our amazing guide. Muamer exceeded our expectations by giving us a very personal, emotional and detailed background to the history of the country at the start. This prepared us for the beautiful nature and scenes we were about to see. At every step, Muamer was able to demonstrate his wide ranging knowledge of each part of the country and shared with us local hidden spots for food and nature which made the experience very authentic. A whole day trip which felt like a step back into history really makes you appreciate the beautiful country which the Bosniacs built. This tour gives you a chance to make sure you have not missed any major sites of Bosnia and allows you plenty of time to cover it all off as well as opportunity to come across the hidden gems of the region. We were travelling as a couple with a 10 month old baby and from the first second, Muamer took every step to make sure we were comfortable and . He never spent a second to look at the time, and put our comfort and happiness first. This did not feel like a tour, it felt like a road trip with family. I hugely recommend this tour and if you can, please do it with Muamer, it’ll be a trip you’ll never ever forget. I have been to 25 countries in my lifetime, and never have I felt as welcomed as I have here by this tour guide. My only regret is that I didn’t have more time to do other tours that are on offer. If I return, I will be doing this again with my family and friends, and definitely asking for Muamer. It is the best introduction you can have to a country filled with history and culture. There is no better way to experience Bosnia as a first time traveller.

I had an incredible experience on the "Fall of Yugoslavia" tour in Sarajevo with Arna as our guide. She was extremely passionate and offered a detailed and captivating explanation of the war in Sarajevo, providing deep insights into this complex period. The tour included stops at many significant sites that gave us a comprehensive view of the city's history. Having a driver made it easy to explore all these important locations. I would highly recommended for anyone interested in Sarajevo's complex history!

We ended up doing two of Meet Bosnia tours and both were amazing — especially the Fall of Yugoslavia with the local guide Arna. If you are in Sarajevo, this is a must do. Arna was passionate, welcoming and honest about the recent history and war here. The driver was also so open in sharing his story with us (which was from the frontlines defending Sarajevo). We left this tour with admiration for this city and its people after what they have gone through.

We did the free walking tour with Ahmed, he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Sarajevo and took us to many points of interest. His history of Bosnia at the start of the tour was one of the best introductions to a country's history we've had in our many walking tours across Europe. We did the Fall of Yugoslavia tour. Highly recommend this informative tour which takes you to important places of the Bosnian war, whilst getting a deeper insight behind the conflict. Our tour guide Allan was very knowledgeable and told us about his own experiences of living in Sarajevo during the siege when he was a child. Our driver was excellent too, managing crazy Friday afternoon traffic in and out of town.

Anyone who visits Sarajevo should take their free walking tour, especially to learn more about the Ottoman part of the city, about which you can mostly only learn by going around and reading the sign plates on the buildings. The tour was a quick and effective roundup of everything you need to know to make sense of the city and its history and culture. After this tour you'll have a basis for understanding the stuff you come across in museums and the city's architecture. For example, you'll know why there's an area with different Catholic and Orthodox churches and how come there's another one opposite that which is full of mosques and hamams and caravanserais. This tour will also take care of the things you could normally easily overlook, like the Sephardic Jews who once inhabited the city, or the story about how Gazi Hüsrev Begovič consulted his advisors and decided to build the free public toilet part of the mosque first to make it more significant in the people's eyes. Definitely wonderful tour and i highly recommend you to take it. Thanks to our tour guide for making this a great experience for me.

We took the Siege tour with Alen, and the free walking tour with Ago, and both tour were absolutely fantastic. Both men are highly knowledgeable and friendly. It was a wonderful experience learning from locals who also grew up here during the war. This was absolutely the best thing I did in Bosnia. Our guide was very informative and included her own stories and experiences of Sarajevo/Bosnia, along with the country and city's history. She took us to the many important historical sites, as well as different local craftsman shops along the way to show us how the items are made (like the beautiful coffee pots, delicious Bosnian baklava) and provided recommendations for restaurants and coffee shops (all of which I tried and were amazing). This was by far the most informative free walking tour I've ever done and highly recommend it while visiting.

This indeed is a great tour company! Definitely one of the best I’ve experienced. My brother and I did the sarajevo free walking tour with Muhammed, he was absolutely brilliant, from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable and made it super interesting. 100% recommend this. We also did the Mostar tour with Irina who was amazing aswell, so kind and understanding. Honestly the service was great. Transport was good! The tour was very informative, and we were able to see all the scenic locations but also learn about the history. I would recommend staying in Sarajevo and just doing a mostar tour as Mostar is quite touristic and the vibe is just a lot better in Sarajevo. Scebrenica Tour was also amazing, very sad but a must for everyone who visits 🇧🇦. The war was not so long ago and it can still be felt today. This tour is a must. If you book a tour with them, you also can store your luggage for free on the day your’re leaving! The price tag is defo worth for the service given. Everyone was so professional and lovely. Thank you to the lady at the front desk who remembered my name when we came in to drop luggage! And thank you to other lady for calling a cab. Truly one of my best experiences with whole day tours. Im sure everyone on the tour with us share the same views. Also even if it’s raining, still do the walking tour!! The 🇧🇦 history is so interesting!!’

Recommened the free tour and the 'Fall of Yugoslavia' tour to anyone visiting Sarajevo as essential. Both tours were interesting, informative and well organized. Our Guides on both tours were friendly, knowledgeable and more than happy to answer any question. The free tour is a introduction to the city and an ideal way to get orientated with the old town. The Fall of Yugoslavia on the other hand takes you around the wider area of Sarajevo to parts I wouldnt have otherwise got to see and provided an insight into the recent history of the city.

A special shout out to Adnan for making our day tour from Sarajevo truly special. His insights into the conflict and the everyday Bosnian life were riveting. The scenic beauty on the drive was magical. Perhaps the only disappointment--and it's no fault of the tour operator, to be sure--was the Sargan 8 train ride. It felt overpriced, touristic, and did not offer the grand vistas (too many tunnels, honestly) that even a basic road trip would provide. If I had to do it over, I would skip this optional train ride. Overall, a wonderful 11+ hours exploring Bosnia!

We had the fall of Yugoslavia tour with Ayup today. He was very knowledgeable and elaborate. We were in complete awe of his guiding skills:) We could learn a lot of things about Yugoslavian era and the siege of Sarajevo. Very memorable experience and probably we can relate to the history of Bosnia more easily since our country, South Korea also has a history of war and division. I couldn’t recommend more. Thank you for the amazing tour!

We visited Srebrenica. The drive there let us enjoy the beautiful landscape, combined with the historical background provided by our very knowledgeable guide who took great care of us. At the memorial site we saw a short movie about the events, followed by a comprehensive exhibition. It was an interesting, moving but also funny trip that I can fully recommend.

We did two tours with Meet Bosnia on our long weekend and both guides were fantastic and very knowledgeable. Firstly was the walking tour which really dug into the history of Sarajevo. Secondly was the Mostar day tour which is a must do as there's so much more to see in the country and bringing swim gear for the waterfalls is a must!

What an amazing introduction and insight to Sarajevo and Bosnia . The tour had everything history, social and a taste of Sarajevo. Tarik the guide was very informative but also very interested and adapted to the interest of the group while also keeping the walk on point. He made sure to balance the history with his own unique history. Which made it a very enjoyable experience. As a solo traveller he made it incredibly inclusive also and everyone spoke to each other. Thank you Tarik and Meet Bosnia for a fantastic introduction to your city.

We had an amazing experience on the day trip to Mostar with Meet Bosnia Tours. Our guide, Amer, was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of the region, sharing fascinating stories that brought each stop to life. What stood out most was how flexible and accommodating he was. Whether it was ensuring we had time to pray or adjusting the schedule to suit guests’ preferences, Amer made sure everyone felt comfortable and well taken care of. The itinerary was very well organised and included not just Mostar but also other beautiful places such as the Kravice Waterfalls, the Dervish Tekke in Blagaj, and the historic town of Počitelj. Each stop had its own charm and added something unique to the day. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sarajevo. Amer’s professionalism, kindness, and flexibility made the trip truly unforgettable. It is the perfect way to experience the beauty and culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We had such a lovely tour from Armina, she told us all about the history of Sarajevo & took us into lots of local shops. It was incredible to hear her personal story & connection to the war. Can’t recommend them enough, the tour shaped our whole weekend away with all the different places recommended to us! Thank you :)

We did the Mostar and Kravica waterfalls tour in South Bosnia and it was a great experience. Although the day was long, we had multiple stops including hidden gems with beautiful views, each of which was definitely worth visiting. Our guide Arna was really friendly and knowledgeable and made sure everyone in our group felt taken care of. She bought traditional Bosnian snacks, bread, and fruit for the group during the day and made sure everyone felt included by translating in Bosnian and English. Arna was really passionate about encouraging more people from the UK (like us) to visit and we will definitely recommend :) The tour was definitely overall 5 stars, however there are a few points where we think it could have been made even better! We travelled on a hot day and better air conditioning in the minibus would have been appreciated. Additionally, we felt that it would have been nice to have a little bit (even 30 minutes) longer at Kravica waterfalls because of the time it took to get up and down the stairs! We would definitely recommend this tour and Meet Bosnia Tours in general - thank you for a wonderful day! :)

Absolutely excellent!! During the span of about 2 hours we were introduced to the history of Bosnia-Hercegovina as well as saw the most important hallmarks of the beautiful city of Sarajevo. I joined the tour with my parents and younger siblings at 12, and everyone enjoyed themselves tremendously! We also got the opportunity to take photos along the tour, and the guide Tarik just did an amazing job! It was cozy, easily-understandable and joyful, thank you very much 🙌 Would recommend anyone visiting Sarajevo to join the free tour from Meet Bosnia Tours 👌💯

My experience with Meet Bosnia Tours in Sarajevo was great. I booked the 4 hour tour about Yugoslavia. My guide was Armin, very nice, polite and well informed person who knows what he is talking about and he can explain the situation very well. He cracked jokes when the situation allows it and I appreciate that a lot because othervise I would leave with depression… I had chills most of the time Armin was explaining the horrifict history of beautiful Sarajevo. Anyway. If you are ready I highly recommend to book this tour to understand more of the situation in Bosnia and Hercegovina. If you get Armin you are in good hands and I believe his collegues are great as well. The only thing price for the entrance to the Tunnel of Hope (15 BAM) is not included in the ticket so just be ready to pay that on the top of the ticket.

Had a fantastic tour with Vedo "the Joker" to Mostar via Konjic, Kravice, Pocitelj and a few other places. Because we had a small group, Vedo was open to all suggestions, for instance a photo stop at the collapsed "Bridge over the Neretva". Also, he rearranged the itinerary because I wanted to finish the tour in Mostar. Vedo made sure I saw everything anyway. Also, we had very interesting and personal discussions about the past, present and future of the places we visited.

I took the free walking tour of Sarajevo with guide Emin. He was personable and extremely knowledgeable. I particularly appreciated his extensive description of the events around the assassination of the Archduke. Also, I feel I understand the situation of the war in the 1990's much better. It was an outstanding walking tour.

We did a 3pm walking tour with Armina who was a local from Bosnia. Her amazing story telling and personal connection to the history of the country and city made the walking tour really interesting and emotive, and lots of content covered. It was quite cold and wet but we stayed until the end and it was worth it. A great way to start the city break and get your bearings and suggestions of where to eat. Would definitely recommend this walking tour.

In short, I agree with all of the reviews, including that in the Lonely Planet guidebook, that this is a “professional outfit “ that anyone from abroad can use with confidence. I first contacted them by email regarding a transfer and tour from Sarajevo to Medjugorje. Not only were they very responsive and helpful, but while in Sarajevo I took their “free” walking tour as well as “Fall of Yugoslavia” tour. In each case I found them to be very informative, professional , well prepared. I will go so far as to say that the guide of their “Fall of Yugoslavia and siege of Sarajevo” tour was not only professional but her and the driver’s personal experience during the war was insightful and moving. Just like my experience with other Bosnians while traveling in the country , these folks are relaxed , capable, kind, and eager to perform well in their profession. I couldn’t recommend this company any more strongly. If you are a foreigner that is nervous about getting situated in Bosnia - they are the people to contact - from transfers from one place to another, to fully professional tours.

This was the best decision I made in Bosnia. Our tour guide was Armina and she was incredible. So much knowledge, great English, great story telling, she shared real history not only book knowledge, I think she is a fantastic ambassador to the country. We also had the chance to try different authentic Bosnian food while we're walking around. We recommend Meet Bosnia and Armina especially to have the best possible introduction to this beautiful country.

One of the most impressive things we did on our travels through the Balkan was taking a tour through Sarajevo with a local guide. Peeling of the layers of history we really got a good glimpse of the turmoil this region has been through. We also had the most lovely woman guiding us through town, treating us with personal stories and some local bread.

Really loved the detailed explanation on history and culture of Bosnia and enjoyed Armin's very good sense of humor. The tour was about 2 hour and we signed up for another tour the next day. Our Sarajevo trip can't be more perfect and all thanks to the great tour. Strongly recommend to everyone!

This is the best travel tour experience that I have ever had in my life, I have done two tours with the agency, and I highly recommend it to all of you, because of their kindness, generosity, willingness to really go above and beyond, demonstrating what Bosnian hospitality is like, as there is a famous saying in Islam, all visitors are angels from God, they really do treat you like angels. Free Walking Tour Ahmed was our tour guide, he took us to many amazing spots in the Old Town for 2 hours, if you want the details, you could find out in some other reviews. I recommend you to do it first thing after arriving in Sarajevo, as it gave me a comprehensive overview of the old town of Sarajevo. Please do remember to tip generously if you can, don't forget all the tour guides do have to eat and have families to feed. Fall of Yugoslavia Tour Following the amazing experience of the Free Walking Tour, I signed up for this tour over WhatsApp (which is amazing by the way, as we mostly use WhatsApp rather than making actual phone calls nowadays, also some travellers only have WiFi, so can't call local numbers). Armina was our tour guide, we were a small group of 6 people with a dedicated driver and air conditioned modern mini van (all these for a fair price of 25 euros). We went to the Yellow Fortress, an abandoned hospital, the Tunnel of Hope, then up the mountain to see the Olympic Race Tracks and the view of the city, which would be very difficult for an ordinary traveller to go to all these spots within 4 hours. During the car journey, Armina also introduced all the important landmarks to us en route. As it is a small group, it had a really friendly atmosphere, Armina is also a very sincere and genuine person (I don't want to use "guide" as it seems to dehumanise her), she shared her own experience of living in Sarajevo during the siege, as well as her personal experience working at an NGO to heal different communities after the war will us. I could tell Armina really treated us as old friends and really keen to share her life story with us, rather than just following a script and doing her job. This was such an immersive experience, way more memorable than just a guided tour, it is an experience that would leave a mark on your heart and soul for life. Above and Beyond As you would expect, at the end of every tours, the guide would always say "let us know if there's anything else we could help", but not everyone can live up to that promise, today, I can confirm that I am very fortunate to have met Meet Bosnia, as they do truly fulfill that promise, rather than just empty words. Long story short, I wanted a "Siege of Sarajevo" map as a souvenir, but was unable to find it in the old town, so I asked them if their guide who will be guiding the next "Fall of Yugoslavia" tour be able to pick one up for me (as it is being sold at Tunnel of Hope). Adnan picked that up and delivered to me, it really made my day and I was over the moon. Thank you very much Edi and Adnan, I am very grateful for your help!

his was one of THE BEST walking tours I’ve ever been on. Edin, the owner and our guide, was not only personable, but a true local-through out the walk he ran into many people he knew. As we walked he told us about historical facts at each location, fun-facts and attempted to connect our individual knowledge base about Bosnia, specifically Sarajevo, to help us all truly experience our walking tour through Old Town Sarajevo. We successful made it to each highlighted point along our walk and even had moments for Q&A throughout. If you’re dropping by Sarajevo for a short trip or plan to stay awhile I HIGHLY recommend the Meet Bosnia Old Town walking tour. FYI they have many more touring options so PLEASE check out their website. Also, I have a gluten sensitivity, Edin was able to tell me about local establishments like his Dad’s restaurant and No Gluten Factory where I could get traditional Bosnian meals and dessert! Erin’s is the best!!!!!! Old Town Sarajevo Tour highlights: Old Orthodox Church Baščaršija Square – Sebilj Foutain Oldest Street in Sarajevo Sarajevo City Hall Caravan Saray – Morića Han Gazi Husrev-bey’s Mosque and Clock Tower Meeting of Cultures Spot Jewish Synagogue Cathedral of Sacred Jesus’ Heart Sarajevo Roses Hotel Europe Assasination Spot – Latin bridge

Excellent! We did the “Fall of Yugoslavia tour one day, which at 25 Euros was great value (it’s aprox 4 hours, in a minibus, with stops) and then did the free Sarajevo walking tour the following day (about 2 hours) Both guides were studying History degree’s, and from the city. They both mixed some good local/personal stories, with a thoughtful, informative knowledge of the city, and it’s history. The Fall if Yugoslavia tour focuses in the 90’s conflict and siege of the city, and the tour guide explained carefully the situations that lead to the war and offered balanced perspectives on how the country lives today. Both guides (and the driver on the Fall tour) had in depth knowledge, were happy to answer questions and the pace was just right, they also mixed in a few humorous anecdotes along the way, and there are some spectacular views to take in. All the staff are friendly and professional - really highly recommended. The guide on the walking tour also pointed us in the direction of a music shop, we’d been hunting for - too marks all around!

My boyfriend and I visited Sarajevo last week and we had such a great time especially thanks to our two incredible guides. We spent our first morning in the city taking a free walking tour (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!) with Edin, who is an absolute delight. He had an answer for every question and a piece of advice for everyone. He took us to the most iconic spots of Sarajevo and told us about its extensive history. His personal experience made ours unforgettable. Since we liked the walking tour so much, we booked the Fall of Jugoslavia tour for the following day. Adnan took us for this one and he's such a great guy. When you listen to him it feels like you're reading a history book. He knows a lot and made it possible for us to have an in depth understanding of what lead to the '92-'95 war. He took us to the Yellow Bastion, to the Tunel Spasa and to the abandoned bobsled track, just to mention a few places. If you ever visit Sarajevo, make sure you take a tour here because it is really, really worth it! I hope to be back in the future 😄

Great travel agency with many trips' suggestions. I did the free walking tour + Fall of Yougoslavia tour with Armin, he was really nice and answerd all of my questions. Then I did the Mostar trip and Srebrenica one with Arna/Armina, she was great, very concerned about our needs, and really nice to travel with. We even had the chance to eat with a local from Srebrenica. I also did the Travnik/Jajce tour with Adnan, he knows very well the History of Bosnia and was able to give us a lot of information. I enjoyed my trips with the drivers Zerno and Alan (sorry for the pronunciation) they were really nice and made me discover great Bosnian music. All of this was arranged with the help of Medina who was always available to help me through my stay in Bosnia. I recommend this agency 100%, very nice and kind people. Thank you for making this an unforgettable trip for me, I will surely come back.

Best free walking tour I've done! It lasted 2 hours more or less and we were a group of 7 strangers. This tour is a gem, we got to try 2 Bosnian pastries for free and visited a metal workshop without being even slightly pressured to purchase anything at all. The history was so interesting and it was great making friends with the other guests. Highly recommend this tour especially for solo travellers Please tip them they deserve it!

Had a wonderful experience with Armeen (Armin) today on the Fall of Yugoslavia trip. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the region especially the war of 92-95 . I was the only one on the tour so got 100% attention. Excellent communication and I recommend everyone to take this tour if they are visiting Sarajevo and want to know about the resilience and struggles of Bosnians. The story of Tunnel of hope is one you can’t miss if visiting Sarajevo. Armeen also gave me recommendations on local food scene. Highly satisfied and much more informed about Bosnia now.

We enjoyed the free walking tour with Edin at 10:30am. He was very knowledgeable about the city’s history and open to answer any question. Of course this tour is also used to make some advertising for other tours or to give recommendations, which was still in an appropriate manner and didn’t bother us at all. However, tour claims to be max size of 30 people, while in fact no one cared and we were more than 30. Thus, we often blocked the whole street and by that felt uncomfortable. Would still recommend the tour to learn about the history, but anyone visiting Sarajevo should still look beyond (other districts than old town, outside the city etc.).

We took the free city walking tour, and we cannot give it a higher recommendation. An amazing and informative tour over 2 hours across a number of the key sights/attractions. If you're coming to Sarajevo, do yourself a favour and book this tour. Our guide (Kiki) was amazing - a very enthusiastic ambassador for a wonderful city.

My husband and I participated in the free walking tour with Kiki as our guide and it was one of the best walking tours we have done. Kiki provided us with lots of information about the (ancient and modern) history of Sarajevo and the country, the stories of the areas and architecture in the town and told us a lot about the culture including the food of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kiki also answered questions asked by people in our group. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and it really enhanced our understanding and experience of the city!! Following this, we decided to do a full day paid hike to Lukomir Village with Meet Bosnia Tours. Our guide was Alan and he provided us with lots of interesting facts and information about the country, culture and the areas we visited. We were the only 2 guests on this tour. Lukomir Village is the highest and most remote village in Bosnia and Herzegovina with original stone houses. We enjoyed the drive there with our driver and Alan (about an hour from Sarajevo) and then the approximately 2 hour walk to Lukomir through the mountains with Alan. We had a lovely authentic lunch in the town and enjoyed a similar walk back after looking at some amazing views from lookouts and seeing stone tombs from the Bosnian empire in the 14th century. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and would definitely recommend this tour!!
