👍👍 Really magical place. The museum is in the traditional house and it looks charming. You can learn a lot about the literature and theater history. The personnel is super welcoming 💚 Plus there is a beautiful garden outside where you can have a coffee and read a book that you can buy in the museum. Little gem in the heart of Old Town Sarajevo. Hidden among the pubs and bars is the museum left on its own, full of precious artifacts for Bosnian culture. It is lot of love invested in it by the people in charge of it. Just visit..

I really liked the museum 💛 Touching beautiful books that are more than 100 years old, getting to know the life, life and work of famous people of Bosnia and Herzegovina is amazing! The museum is located in the very center, there is an audio guide. Take the time to visit this place and learn the history of creativity in this beautiful country. Thanks to the staff for creating a pleasant impression of this place 💛

Hidden gem. Great place to have a coffee and learn a bit about Sarajevo's history and people. Artists shouldn't be forgotten. They struggle both in peace and war.

This isn't a typical museum like other's. This is one realy cool quite space in the centre of the capital just few minutes away from old town and most popular hotels. It have a small garden with wooden tables and a few tree's which make a nice shade during hot summer days. There You can rest and have nice coffee or some refreshing beverages made from roses or mint or some other plant's. On the ground floor is also egsibition space which is ideal for some art exhibition or for a book presentation. The rest of museum is dedicated to literature and there is also nice things to see. All personal is realy friendly and open to anyone. Literature history is a big part of cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina so be free to ask for guide. Whole building is old traditional house that gives a feeling of privacy and domestic atmosphere. If you like to find a quite place for a chat with descrete music that is definitely recomended place.

A beautiful old house from the 19th century and an even more beautiful garden where you can have a drink, because it has a cafe. The museum also has a gallery that can be viewed for free. Entrance to the permanent exhibition is paid, but the prices are reasonable. The original manuscript of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić and other valuable exhibits are kept here.

This museum testifies to the cultural richness of all three main Bosnia and Herzegovina's people and smaller groups, like Jews. BiH has gave to the world such authors as Mak Dizdar, Ivo Andrić, Meša Selimović, Isak Samokovlija etc. Super spot for a one hour break from the world, in the heart od Sarajevo.

If I could give 0 star I would. When I came today, Monday 24.04 around 15 p.m, the only person present in the museum told me the price was 10KM. I thought this was expensive but as I hadn't looked up the price before going I paid. And half the lights up the stairs didn't function so it was impossible to read the texts.

This is a surprising museum about some of the key performing art as well as literary figures of significance in Bosnia Herzegovina. The house hosting the museum is itself stunning inside and out. There is also Ivo Andric's original manuscripts on display. I really enjoyed this visit although some parts do not include english explanation. But the atmosphere and feeling of the place makes it worthwhile.

Great, lovely museum of literature in a hart of Sarajevo. One of the oldest houses in Sarajevo to experience the past life and feel the beauty of inner garden ,behind the wallas and crowd. It contains the original writings of world known writers and specially the Nobel prise winner in literature Ivo andric the great writer of "Na Drini cuprija". You can see the original writning and the pen it was written with. 🤩

I was wowed to see an exhibition about my favourite poet there, with actual furniture from his office. Also the floorplan of the exhibition is nicely set up, you go through the museum in an up then down spiral that showcases some of the most important names in bh literature, as well as actual props from the old puppet theatre
