Visted sarajevo in August 2019. Our last day here, luckily happened to see the opening parade of the film festival in the street. So many gorgeous looking people. Didn't get chance to go inside of the building. Hope to come back again in the future to watch shows here.

I would have loved to see the inside of this great house and experience an event. Unfortunately I didn't check that. For this: this was my meeting point for two great tours through Neno & Friends Sarajevo. Topics: the city yesterday and today and four years of siege of Sarajevo in the 90s. Both very personal, moving and the latter very, very sad, shocking and yet also somewhat hopeful and with an unshakable will to live well together in the future. It's rare to find this much size. An art on the street event (KULTURA NA ULICE!) took place here on Friday (July 28, 2023) from 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. - a program of the city: a performance (if I understood correctly) and folk music. Unfortunately missed - what a shame!

One of the best Experience’s of my life, Thank you Yemen Blues. Suggestion: Buy your tickets from front because Slope is not enough, cant see anything from behind.

The building of this theater was built in 1897. The Sarajevo National Theater is the central and most important theater in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which houses Drama, Opera and Ballet, and the Sarajevo Philharmonic is also located under the same roof.

Lovely place with friendly staff that spoke English. The performance was amazing with excellent (as far as I know) acoustics. Look it up and see if there's a performance when you're in the area. I was there during Jazz Fest (November) and saw a performance by Damir Imamovic and his ensemble. It was truly a highlight of the trip.

More than average. Watched Heda, would give it 3 out of 5, but the atmosphere inside the theater was very pleasant.

A fantastic place to enjoy local shows. The ticket office seems unapproachable for tourists but the staff speaks perfect English. I booked online to pick up a ticket but I was advices to take a better seat and I could easily without any fee change my seats. People do dress up to come to this place and I recommend to look decent to respect this place.

Come for excellent theatre, not the 50 year old ambient of cramped, creaking, almost falling apart chairs.

A must-see for those who are into opera, ballet and theatre. Great historical place to visit. You also get to see festivals (Jazzfest, Theatre, Sarajevo Fil Festival, etc.) here occasionally. Make sure you get your seats on ground-flootr level for better accoustics.

We had a great time in Nacional Theatre. Concert was excellent, very well organized. Theater needs some renovation and air conditioning. Stuffy and very warm.

Lovely and spirited performance of La Bohème. Ticket prices are very low from an international perspective. Recommend to every tourist to come and see.

One of the few places that makes you feel "at home"... But let's face it: it's worn out... Hope that there's more government investment in its renovation.

Came here for the Sarajevo film festival and was BLOWN away! Such a stunning city, and the venue captures it in one place. If you’re visiting Sarajevo definitely have a look and see what’s playing. The Bosnian culture is likely to wow you like no other! Can’t wait to return
