Almost nothing to see, is 24h open, free entrance, no explanation about the place, just small sign. Is in the very center so you'll see it anyway in Sarandë. It is also next to central square and bus station to other cities.

Not sure why there isn’t anything.

It's worthy to visit it... First discovered in the 1980s and then excavated and restored in the early 2000s, the 5th-century synagogue in the center of Sarandë belonged to a prosperous Jewish community in what was then called Oncheasmos. The ruins that visitors can see today consist of two mosaic floors, one depicting a menorah, the other a ram's-horn shofar and animals. By the 6th century, the synagogue was converted into a basilica, though it was later destroyed—most likely either by an earthquake or invading Slavs. Who knows what further planned excavations will bring to light?

The instructions panel is broken , the color is faded. The office of tourism is just in front of it , and there is an important bus station right there , if you want to leave Sarande to other cities like gjrokaster or Tiranë .

Archaeological remains from, among other things, a very old synagogue from Roman times.

Just a few remains in the city center without much of an explanation of the history behind them. Sort of sad to see so many of the ancient ruins here in Albania are neither taken care of properly nor exploited for tourist gain

This small facility is located next to the bus stop. There isn't much left of the synagogue, but you can distract yourself here while you wait forever for your bus.

Most pieces appear like missing, unfortunately. It could have been preserved much better!

There is nothing much to see here, but it is always an additional piece of history that we can see for free while waiting for a bus to Blu Eye, Tirana or other larger cities in Albania because there is a bus "station" right next to it. And you can meet a pretty cool kitten here ;)

We love it to see right in the center of the city there are the remains of both a a christian Basilica church during the first 5 centuries AD. Around 5th century it was adapted as a sinagogue as there was a considerable in numbers Jewish community. Its open all the time to walk through the ruins. More are to be discovered and some parts are under the main road. I hope they will do more archeological work in future.

Located in the middle of Saranda near the bus stop to Ksamil/Butrint, we are a bit overlooked in the city but it is worth a little visit even if you only have a short time and are waiting for the bus

It is free to se but you can't go between them, you can see only from outside, it is a fance around the arheological site, nothing much to observe and it is free, you can visit the site anytime 24/7.

These are the foundations of the early Christian Basilica and the Synagogue. The compound of Basilica belongs to the 5th-6th century AD and is located in the center of Onhezmi castle in the eastern part. The synagogue is located in the western wing of the Basilica suggesting the existence of a Jewish community in Onhezmus in the the 5th century AD. However, the place only includes the foundations with no frescos. The entry is free and the remains are left unprotected and not maintained. The location of the site is close in proximity to the promenade. The entry to the site includes a plaque with the general overview of the site in Albanian and English.

Ruins of Butrint. Mosaics that I visited covered with a cloth and pebbles, to preserve them, therefore not visible. They get discovered it seems like every six years. Nothing compared to our excavations in Italy, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Syracuse etc. I wouldn't go back also due to the great chaos due to the vehicles and buses.
