We had an unforgettable evening at Lido Beach watching the mesmerizing sunset with our family. The stunning colors painted the sky as we strolled along the sandy shore, creating a truly magical atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for creating cherished memories with loved ones. Highly recommend!

My go to during season. The only difference between this beach and siesta are the shells (and number of tourists). Same beautiful powder white sand and aquamarine clear water. (Pics: Doug can’t read bc he’s a dog, but it’s the thought that counts)

Absolutely beautiful beach. We love Clearwater a lot, but have to admit, we love Lido Beach better. First of all, beach parking was free, secondly, the had clean and spacious restrooms and changing rooms. Beach was not overly crowded but absolutely beautiful. Loved the proximity to all restaurants and shopping while not feeling that you are in the most hectic tourist spot. If you love collecting beautiful shells, this beach has it! We did a one-day trip from Orlando, but next time, we’ll grab a hotel room. Must visit!

I came here just to watch the sunset and grab some seafood nearby. Walked about a mile through the sand. It was super quiet and peaceful. There were a lot of other people just chilling by the beach or walking through, like myself. The beach is proximal to a ton of bars, restaurants, and shops. If you plan on ubering here from further out, keep in mind that it may take some time for a driver to retrieve you from this area. For some reason, a lot of the cars I was getting were 20+ minutes away and cancelled. Other than that, definitely recommend if you are in the Sarasota area.

It was pretty crowded but we enjoyed our visit. The atmosphere was great and water was very warm. There was some seaweed coming ashore with waves but overall water was not dirty. There are few eateries at the beach, and also a public pool. Overall, the beach and the surrounding area are very nice.

My first visit! Beach front parking! Yes! Initially, parking could be a problem, especially as the day progresses. However, patience is your friend. The early beach goers will be leaving for lunch as spots will open. A snack bar is nearthe shore line, so food and beverages are far away. On-site changing stations are available. The water is unbelievable, warm, and very clear. If snorkeling, I'd bring my gear and get set for a great time. It is very crowded on the weekends. Safe and secure. It was a great time for all. Highly recommend.

Lido Beach is a beautiful beach. White Sands...warm water. One of the nicer beaches in Florida. Located just minutes from Downtown Main Street in Sarasota. Just a quick drive over the Ringling Bridge and through St. Armands Circle and you're there. Heated pool open to the public right next to the Lido Beach Resort.

Lovely beach😎 The sand is so white and looks like flour while the water is very clear and almost waveless. There are restrooms nearby as well. Parking is free but scarce

We really like this beach not overly crowded. The water is fabulous depending on the weather as it is the ocean. There was a lifeguard on duty. The one thing I really didn't like as compared to alot of other beaches there were a lot of shell particles in the sand as you walked around you could feel them piercing your feet painful sometimes but in the water they were very minimal shells other than whatever the ocean waves pushed to the shoreline.

It’s hard not to give a beach 5 stars, so hear me out… Pretty rough for a FL gulf side beach. It’s GREAT if you’re here to Body board, Jet ski, parasailing and other water sports! But it’s not ideal if you’re out with little ones for a family day (which we were!) have to keep your eyes on them, waves come out of nowhere. My little ones love being in the water so it was hard as the waves were just too much. The sand has a lot of broken shells in it (again not great for young ones) all of us have a cut or 2 from just walking to and from. You don’t have to go in far at all too not be able to touch. If that’s what you’re looking for, then it’s the right spot for you. Again, not ideal for children. Water is entirely too rough to fish from the shore/beach. We saw a guy try - LOL!! There is a a lifeguard on duty! No wildlife of any kind. Not even a fish. Seems to attract a rougher crowd. Tons of foreigners. Several were playing loud music, not a considerate bunch. Many left Trash at the beach when we saw them leave ☹️ We came mid afternoon on a holiday weekend and were able to find parking immediately!

Overrated in my opinion. Water is jersey shore green orange green constant 3-4 foot waves sand isn’t that fine wnd the parking isn’t that abundant. There is bathrooms and lifeguards earlier in the day. The water is very warm like 81-89 degrees. Pretty windy so good for kites. No dogs allowed

Besides siesta key, lido Beach is a very, very nice beach. Never too crowded, very well kept and clean. You also can rent chairs and umbrellas. They have restrooms, an outdoor shower, and a very good beach grill restaurant.

This is a beautiful beach with ridiculously calm waters, at least on the day I was there last week. Not one wave to help push you back to the beach. It was so silent. Like a big, gentle swimming pool, and with only a handful of people in the water, it was peaceful. At only 5'1, I was way, way, way out in the water, and still could stand on my toes. I was on the fence between Siesta Key or Lido and, at the last minute, opted for Lido. After visiting Anna Maria Island and being blown away at how gorgeous it was, I was equally in awe of Lido Beach. The big difference between the two is that Lido has a lot of crushed shells so it can be "ouchie" to walk on at times, however, that doesn't take away from the experience, in fact, it just means you can capture some great shells. It is also a bit narrower than AMI and less crowded. If I had to choose the best of the beaches, excluding Siesta since I didn't go, I'd have to go with Coquina Beach, but you can't lose either way. Soft, white sand and clear turquoise waters. I actually thought Lido was a bit warm for my liking. Considering how close the beaches are, it was strange how Coquina felt a bit more refreshing.

Still beautiful but surprising amount of people on the beach for it being the off season. Got there at around noon and not a parking spot to be seen in the public beach parking lot, parked on the street. Went to the public pool first time and I have been around Sarasota my entire life. Clean, set up in lanes for lap swimming. $4 and join public pools online and you are in, two teenage life guards who were very confident and knowledgeable. The pavilion had good food and nice people, a guy was playing Latin music mix and singing, it was kind of cool and gave it a very tropical atmosphere.

Great beach, more shells than siesta so if you plan on laying on a towel you have to be further from the water. But overall great beach to visit. Good parking. Everything great.

Wonderful beach with adequate free parking. Lifeguards, restrooms and a small cafe. Very walkable, great sundowns and occasional entertainment in the evenings. Wooded area with walking paths and wildlife. Plenty of restaurants and cafes a short walk away at Armand Circle.

Summer sunsets are great here. Lots of parking and easy access to beach entrance in the late afternoon and evening. During winter, it is super crowded. Visiting Sarasota from June through October is hot but so much easier for getting around and parking.

Beautiful beach very busy we got here at about 930 and were already a far way back from the water. So if you have small children you may need to get there earlier or hunt for a spot. The beach has a free car park and showers/toilets. We took chairs and an umbrella with no shade and the sun is very hot if you are not used to it. We stayed for half a day It was very easy to swim here and the beach slopes slowly in so easy for all ages.

This is a pretty beach located right by downtown Sarasota. You’ll have to cross into the key of Lido by the long bridge (no toll). You’ll head straight at the run about. And you’ll arrive to Lido Beach.

Lido Beach is beautiful. Shells, white sand, showers, rest rooms, plenty parking. Beautiful birds singing in the palm trees. Not as crowded as Siesta beach & a short walk from car to beach.

Lido Beach is a true favorite. Easy parking. Fabulous changing and bathrooms. Lots of lifeguards and the Grill and beverage stands are outstanding. Even on a cooler and cloudy day this is such a special place to be. For those who love to shop St Armand’s is close by too!

Great beach! Family friendly. Bathrooms are large enough to bring beach cart in with you. They’re extremely clean! Free parking. There is an area to buy lunch. Showers to try and wash off sand. Beach is beautiful!
