This place was delicious! Bacon burnt ends were so good! Large portions of tasty BBQ with great tasting sauces too! The pimento mac and cheese was superb. Highly recommend a stop here, especially if you are hungry!

Great location in downtown Sarasota with pleasant street seating nicely shaded in the evenings. The food selection is quite different from typical pub grub and beware, the portion sizes are bigger than you think due to the large serving plates. Make sure you have a good appetite if you intend having appetizers as well as the entrees. Decent beer selection and consistent quality make Brick's Smoked Meats one of my favorite local restaurants.

Well done BBQ Dry rubbed wings for appetizer 8 large wings, moist and flavorful. Dry rub was a sweet heat. Nice way to begin the meal St.Louis ribs were fall of the bone tender, nice bark, smoked perfect Sides were Pimento Mac & cheese Street corn Both were nice portions for sides I came from the beach and felt comfortable sitting outside. Welcome atmosphere so you can dress casual or come dressed for a night on the town Service was attentive without hovering over me. I believe I had Nicole for my server Highly recommend if you're in the area I will make a side note to the restaurant... Either make the cornbread bigger or offer as a side. The little mini muffin didn't fit with the other portion sizes

My wife and stopped here by accident. I’m glad we did. I had the pork belly tacos and my wife had the smoked brisket tacos. Mouth watering delicious. We ate at the bar and the bartender was awesome. We will be returning to this establishment for sure.

Love this place!! Just flew in from Houston and had to come check it out! They did not disappoint! The St. Louis ribs are fall off the bone good!! Great caramelization outside and moist and tender meat inside! The brisket is fantastic, I chose the marble cut with extra bark, it is so delicious doesn’t even need sauce! The turkey is well cooked, not overdone so it’s still very moist and not dry. I recommend the Brussel sprouts and pimento Mac and cheese for your sides!!! Both are superbly cooked and such a great blend of flavors! Huge portions but I couldn’t stop eating until I finished them all. Had the deviled egg appetizers too!! For dessert polished it off with the Brûlée banana pudding!! Wow!! Everything here from the food to the service is outstanding. Emma was attentive, professional, made great recommendations on dishes, and was super friendly and nice! She’s a great asset to this restaurant! Highly recommend the Texas Trio!

Was a bit disappointed when it says Texas meets Florida for Flavor. I was expecting a Franklins, or Rudy’s taste. Because they are the best. Would have loved a Myron Mixon flare. I was just expecting Pit Master taste and I feel like I got Sonny’s. I sent it back, got the Turkey and it was just okay. The Potato Salad was the star! Cute Cute atmosphere

I’ve had bbq all over the country. This place place has officially taken over the top spot on bbq stops for me! *Update* Second time here in less than a week because family was in town! Just as good as the first time and we lucked out with the same server Melissa! Melissa tops the experience off at Brick’s! Very attentive and quick efficient service.

It's a good place to eat. A nice selection of things to choose from. I've honestly had better, but I would still come back here. Our server was very knowledgeable and good hearted. The drinks are very tasty. I recommend the Smoked Manhattan.

Great meats, unique sides and excellent drinks. Definitely a great choice for anyone who likes some kick in the mouth with their food. Customer service was good overall with a few lulls in attentiveness as crowds increased.

Loved most of the food, the meat was good as was the mac n cheese, but the fries were not great. Loved the atmosphere and the service was great. I wanted to order 90% of the menu but with only 4 people, we decided to just return at a later date try more. I had the brisket, pulled pork, mac n cheese, and fries. The little bitty corn bread was cute and the meat portions were big enough I didn't feel like I needed more of it. The other picture was of the hamburger and fries. We were pleasantly surprised that burger was cooked to the temp that we ordered and not just defaulted to well done. The only complaint for this plate was again the fries. They were soggy/mushy to a point that didn't match the rest of the food. I'm hoping it was just an off batch for the kitchen.

First time at Bricks after coming to Sarasota on vacation. It was DELISH, they didn’t come to play! The smoked meats were so good juicy and flavor spot on!! I got the mic and match tacos and I have to say the bacon burnt ends taco was to DIE for! We also got the pork quesadilla and brisket burger. Def recommend anyone that wants BBQ by the Sarasota area you won’t regret it.

Stumbled across this unique find on a Friday evening. It looked and smelled great. They asked if we had a reservation. Never had to have a reservation for a barbecue place before, but after eating there we understand why. The food was fabulous! We started with the bacon burnt ends and they were beyond anything we've ever had. We enjoyed the brisket and the maple glazed salmon. The sides of corn, potato salad, and coleslaw are also just as tasty. 😋 The service was very attentive. Louis did a great job checking on us but other people stopped by as well to make sure that we had what we needed. You definitely need to check this place out when you come to Sarasota.

Hearty BBQ fare at a reasonable price. Seating is spacious and interior is a faux ranch style. The Texas Trio is a good option to sample their menu. The vegetarian in my party was satisfied with Meg’s Salad. You won’t leave hungry.

Best BBQ I have ever eaten and BBQ is my favorite genre of food. Highly recommend if you are near/passing Sarasota!! Known for their brisket and for good reason! Can't wait to come back next time!

Brick's Smoked Meats is an excellent place for casual dining. My server, Nicole, was excellent and offered her opinion when I could not decide on a choice of sandwiches and sides. I opted for their Chophouse Burger with Pimento Mac & Cheese and sweet tea for lunch before going to work. The burger was thick and grilled exactly the way I prefer burgers. The macaroni and cheese was very cheesy with a slight spicy kick from the pimentos and I suspect a little bit of jalapenos. The sweet tea was sweet yet not overbearing. The atmosphere and staff at Brick's are all friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend the burger and macaroni and cheese. On past visits, I also recommend their Pit Smoked Beans and a dish called The Goods. The pricing is good considering the location. Give Brick's Smoked Meats a shot and I personally believe you will enjoy the your experience there.

For southern, authentic BBQ, you can't do much better than Brick's. I've been to several BBQ places and many fall short: meat too dry, limited/no/not great sides, BBQ sauce sub par. Brick's has met and exceeded all of these. The meat (we had brisket, jalapeno cheese sausage, and pulled pork) were so impressively tender and juicy without having been steeped in any liquids. The sides were also amazing, and varied. We had the pimiento mac n cheese, maple bacon brussel sprouts, collard greens, and fries. Prices were reasonable for what you were getting as well. The only downside was they hadn't put the ribs in to smoke the night before on time, so they weren't ready for lunch, and my partner was very much looking forward to trying the ribs, so this was quite sad. Overall, absolutely visit brick's if you're looking for good, true southern BBQ.

I kept hearing that this is the best BBQ in the city. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich (w/o bread) & had the fries as a side. Meat was very moist & service was great! I do recommend reservations on the weekends. Several families were surprised at the wait time. There is great outdoor seating, too!

Looking for some delicious BBQ in Sarasota? Bricks will fill you up with your BBQ favorites done well. The corn bread was delicious but a shame they are so small. Coulda eaten dozens of those little muffins. The Brisket and ribs were so juicy and tender they start to fall apart as soon as you touch them with fork or fingers. Sides were all good too. When I get tired of seafood when I’m back I’ll definitely be stopping in.

Today was our first time at Brick’s and it did not disappoint. Our server Paul was beyond fantastic and we would come back again just to see him. The food lives up to true Texas bbq. We tried the bacon burnt ends which were to die for. For our meals we got the brisket grilled cheese and the St. Louis Ribs with the beans and corn. Everything was so delicious. We highly recommend Brick’s!

Having previously lived in Florida I knew this was a place I wanted to come back to! My visit here today reminded me of why I needed to return to Brick's Smoked Meats! The food was exceptional! Had the brisket meal. It had amazing smoked flavor! Service was prompt, Steve did an amazing job and provided excellent service as my waiter. Thanks. Atmosphere of the place is also very nice! Would recommend to anyone looking for some good BBQ!

I got the two meat option on their menu and went for brisket and chicken, with a side of beans and mac and cheese. The sauces they have on the table are your standards sauces for a BBQ place like this, and the spicy one is delicious. The brisket is so flavorful, it requires no sauce whatsoever and is done perfect. You may need to watch out for the chicken, sometimes there may be a small bone or two -- I only found one, so not bad! The mac and cheese was delicious. I didn't really care for the beans, I'm not quite sure what the cheese crumble was on top, but that's unnecessary in my opinion. Just beans and maybe some BBQ sauce mixed in is all You need. On their menu, I read something about a Lone Star Caviar as a side, which piqued my interest. But I didn't get it. Awesome BBQ place :)

Brunch at Brick's was a favorite of ours. We loved the atmosphere and consistency (pictures attached). Our last two experiences were very disappointing. One visit was a birthday brunch. The food was very overcooked, cold, and dry. The cornbread muffins looked like another table had started on them before they made it to our table. As someone with dietary restrictions, I rely on the staff to have knowledge on the ingredients in each dish. I was assured by our waiter and the shift manager that a side did not have meat in it. Discovered it did have meat in it when I began eating it and was sick from it. That being said, the staff has always been friendly.
