Had a great experience at Element last night. Had a business dinner, and the food & service, amazing! Steaks were super flavorful, tender, and cooked to order. Wine & whiskey selection was just as good! Would very much recommend a visit if you are in the Sarasota area.

We celebrated my husbands birthday last night at Element. Everything was fantastic and everyone made him feel so special. We had a 9pm reservation and never felt rushed at all. The food and drinks were outstanding. Our waiter, George, was so friendly and helpful! My husband does not drink alcohol, and he said the mocktails made for him were very good! The environment was beautiful and relaxed. You can tell they really take pride in their establishment and making sure their customers feel welcome and comfortable. There was a VERY loud party in the next room celebrating a birthday which sounded more like a group partying at a club at times, but this is no fault of the restaurant and I doubt regular dining experiences would have that level of noise. Overall we were super impressed and can’t wait to come back!

Had a Happy Thanksgiving. Delicious food, great service. Disappointed that we were seated in the sun. Requested a seat in the shade but were informed that the table we were seated at was the only one available. It's Thanksgiving and we had made a late reservation so we were okay with the seat because the other seats were reserved. But we ate our whole meal and no one else came to sit at the shaded tables. Why? Why not let us sit in shaded table as we requested. And for Thanksgiving why wouldn't someone who works in hospitality be hospital. Why? But our server, busser and food were excellent.

This spring I had a chance to stop by Element in beautiful downtown Sarasota for an early dinner before catching a performance at the Van Wez' with my father. In a sentence, Element delivers incredible food presented in a sophisticated way at an exquisite venue with extraordinary staff to assure you an impeccable dining experience. My father and I reserved a 4:30PM dinner to ensure ample time to get to our performance we were attending. The restaurant was slow at first, but after 5:00PM things got a lot busier, and this was midweek. I am sure on the weekends it's a good idea to ensure a reservation, as I imagine the place would be quite busy. Of note, you'll need to try to find street parking or take advantage of any of the convenient parking garages located around the Sarasota downtown. Having used these for years, they're safe as is walking around the city. We were promptly seated and provided beverages. It took a few moments to receive some bread, and wow was that worth it. Sumptuous and soft with flaky crust, it was challenging to limit ourselves to reserve room for our meal! My father ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and baked halibut. I went with the coconut curry mussles and black garlic and squid ink linguini. The appetizers were ready within about 20 minutes of arrival. I thought that reasonable considering we were seated right as the restaurant opened. The appetizers were delicious. The shrimp with the cocktail were some of the largest I ever seen, and the sauce was brimming with flavor - all very fresh. The mussles were a treat. There must have been 30+ of them in a silky sweet curry sauce that paired well with the seafood. In reality, the appetizers were so substantial, I think they could be easily shared by 2 people with no problem. Our entrees arrived about 10 minutes after we had finished our appetizers. Once again, the plating and presentation were commendable. My father exclaimed that his entree was one of the best dishes of his life. The pasta that I had was flavorful with a subtle but obvious garlic kick. It was also accompanied by several massive shrimp all cooked to perfection. In the end, we just couldn't quite finish it all. The chefs here do provide ample portions. In retrospect, I think an appetizer shared by 2 plus one side dish for a table of up to 4 plus entrees would be more than sufficient for most people. Now, if you'd like to take advantage of dessert, I'd recommend passing on the appetizer and maybe even side dish. Your main entree will come with enough to satisfy. Everything at Element was fantastic. But, I want to close out my review acknowledging the incredible staff. Our servers and who I presume is a manager were all warm, hospitable, and professional. Their attention to detail throughout our meal, promptness without being overbearing, and friendliness made our dinner something special. I've traveled a lot and have eaten at restaurants run by celebrity chefs and others featuring 7+ course meals. I'd rank Element among the top 5 restaurants I've ever dined at. This is an exceptional establishment and a gem in Sarasota. If you are seeking an elegant dining experience that is nevertheless unpretentious, this should be among your top options.

We have been to this restaurant maybe 10 times and have never been disappointed. This visit 8/6/22 was the best of all so far. Sat on the outside patio, nice breeze. Our server, Trei, was attentive but not overly so, which we prefer. Food (see photos) was exceptional and well presented. Steak tare tare, wedge salad, swordfish and linguine with shrimp and bacon.

Called in advanced, made reservations, and had a great time. I sat outside with my spouse and we had a superb time - good music, good staff, and great food. We had a Chef’s special Mahi Mahi with Mango sauce and a Swordfish with polenta. My favorite was the swordfish - it was packed with flavor, juicy, and well textured. For drinks we had a couple of their specialties that give name to their “element theme”. They also have a full menu of wine and provide whiskey, bourbons, and the likes. For dessert we had a Banana Crème Brûlée - it was good though nothing mind blowing. The crème had a small banana flavor and the “brûlée” wasn’t fully done but it was a nice dessert nonetheless. I do see myself coming back and thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

We met here with a group of friends and were absolutely pleased from the get-go. We were escorted having reservations to the private room and received prompt attention. The food was excellent. I ordered the shrimp linguine and could barely finish it all. The six of us in the group had all positive things to say about our dinner and the restaurant. We highly recommend. Kudos to to the manager, Edward, for being so kind and helping us out of a parking issue. Such a polite and professional demeanor.

Absolutely perfect! We were celebrating a special anniversary. Indicated that in our reservation and there is nothing they could have done to have made the evening more special. Food was outstanding atmosphere is excellent, and the service was impeccable, with a possible exception of a bit of a wait for wine with dinner. We’ve never been here before, but we will definitely be back!

We went there with a very large party of about twenty five and they handled things well. Salads were fresh and dressings high quality. Appetizers were excellent as were sides. My Porterhouse was amazingly good, although they tended to overcook a little bit, this is of course, common for large parties. Definitely will go back.

We strolled into the bar early, and the lovely bartender (hi, Faith!) treated us like royalty. Excellent martinis, delicious fondue with fried Asiago bread and heirloom veggies, and the most luscious barbacoa tacos I’ve ever tasted. Great service, beautiful bar and dining room, super reasonable.

Was in town for a long weekend trip to celebrate a friend getting married soon. We had an amazing dinner, quality and portions were amazing. There were a few allergies that members of our group had. Our server (Darin) was amazing, he went over everything with us and made those with allergies feel very comfortable. He was so helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Certainly a high end restaurant. Lots of original items on the menu. Steaks are one of the specialties. Prices are sky high but not discouraging patrons. You can still find reasonable and excellent items on the menu. Everything was as expected and we had a very pleasant evening.

The food was very good, I’ll give them that. Everything we ordered from a wide menu was top-notch. However, we made a reservation for 4 pm because nothing else was “available.” When we got there the restaurant was empty until 6 pm. This was a bit annoying, because 4 pm isn’t the ideal dinner time. Perhaps better bot screening would do this restaurant some good

Overall, I had a good visit. The service was fantastic and the food was prepared quickly. My twice baked potato was also amazing. However, the steak, while still enjoyable, left a little something to be desired and is the only reason this review isn't 5/5. I would still recommend!

I was really looking forward to this experience but due to valentines day, they had a valentines day menu so my review is based out of that menu. We had the bone marrow small plate which based on promotional pics on the website, it would be a must try! Well it was nothing but a bad experience. I've never had such an unfunctional dish... the amount of bone marrow served was less than a tea spoon of it. The worst part was the overwhelming amount of grease in that plate. On top of it, the dish was served with butter oil that was flavorless. Besides that, we had the short rib pasta which was okay. The meat was cooked to perfection but the pasta lacked taste it was blend and confusing. As side dishes, we had the truffle mushrooms which were cooked perfectly but lacked the truffle flavor, and the gratin potatoes which the cheeses chosen were very good but the potatoes itself needed salt to fuse all the flavors together. Overall the place was very gorgeous and the staff where amazing. To me, this is a place mostly to grab cocktails in the lounge and not really dine in. Would I come back and try their regular menu ? For the price, probably not.

My beautiful wife and I had our regular date night dinner at this very nice restaurant. We had a wonderful server named Conner that was very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. we had two appetizers, the bacon kabobs and the scallop plate. Although the portion sizes are small , we enjoyed both . We decided to split the halibut and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection. A very enjoyable experience. Professional staff, beautiful inside, great dinner.
