The Gator Club on main street, Sarasota has a great atmosphere, and super cool visitors. Wednesday is karaoke night for the ones who like to sing a tune. Gator Club has a bingo night as well, you can win sexy adult prizes. Music is good, DJ' s and band's playing (ask them what night they play) . This hidden gem is located in a beautiful aria with restaurants and places to have a great time I met a cool security guy while sitting outside. Thank you Caesar! Hope to visit soon again!

My Friday night escapade led me to The Gator Club in Sarasota, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! The friendly atmosphere kicked in right at the entrance, with the girls at the bar setting the tone for the night. Their warmth and helpfulness made ordering a breeze, and they were the architects of some fantastic conversations. As the clock ticked past 11:30, the place transformed into a lively hub of energy. The vibrant crowd, infectious music, and overall atmosphere created the perfect recipe for a night to remember. The Gator Club isn't just a bar; it's a magnet for those seeking a lively downtown experience in Sarasota. Whether you're catching up with friends or making new ones, this place has the magic formula for a fun-filled night out. If you're in Sarasota and craving a dose of lively vibes, The Gator Club is the go-to spot. Cheers to the fantastic staff, the lively crowd, and the unforgettable Friday night memories! Highly recommend for anyone looking to spice up their evening in downtown Sarasota.

The club used to be a fun and relaxing place, but they have recently really disappointed me. I had purchased a VIP card years ago, but the last time I went, one of the security members took my card to explain to another security member that I had the right to enter the side entrance with a guest. I didn't realize at the time that he never gave my card back, and when I went to collect it from him later that night he claimed he didn't have it.

Big Thank you to the Gator Club for supporting Live Local Music in Sarasota, Florida! 'Thorson Moore Music' and 'The Dirty Byrd Band' in SRQ have some of the best musical players in the area. ~ We appreciate you and support all our talented musicians here in Sarasota FL.

Checked out Johnny Diamond at Gators last month and had to stay for their whole show. Loved their retro selection and personal spin. It was busy and happening but not packed. No wait for cocktails, room to hang out, and plenty of dancing. $5 cover was a bargain. Nice to have music that rocks and plays past 11 pm. The Gator Club certainly provides a rare and needed service to the Sarasota community and I thank them. Running a 2 AM dance club with live music (and DJ upstairs) can’t be easy. It gives service industry folk a chance to enjoy weekends as well. Almost every other place is empty and closed before midnight.

don’t order the rum and coke it tastes like cold medicine. also waiting for wednesday karaoke for almost 2 hours and they didn’t tell us it cuts off at 1:30 so we waited for over 90 minutes without a warning. they let people pay to cut the line for karaoke too so be prepared for that. were really rude about the wait and pretty much everything else. they atmosphere would have been better if the experience was nicer.

New to sarasota Staff was great. Overpriced drinks, and generally dead environment. patrons seems to have a grudge for outsiders. $10 cover charge was seriously not warranted except maybe for live music. Had a much better time at Smokin' Joes Pub and the office, also Raffurty's Bar and Grill. If you are over 40 years old, this place is probably for you, otherwise, try your luck somewhere else.

Looking for a lively and historic spot to grab a drink in Sarasota? Look no further than The Gator Club. Housed in a building that dates back to the 1920s, The Gator Club has been a local institution for decades. The atmosphere is classic and inviting, with plenty of cozy nooks and crannies to settle into and enjoy your evening. One of the highlights of The Gator Club is the upstairs whiskey bar, which boasts an impressive selection of top-shelf whiskeys from around the world. Whether you're a connoisseur or just looking to try something new, the knowledgeable staff will be happy to guide you through the extensive selection. But The Gator Club is more than just a great place to enjoy a drink. Live music is a staple here, with local and regional acts taking the stage most nights of the week. The acoustics are great, and the energy is always high. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a holiday, The Gator Club has you covered. They throw some of the best block parties in town, complete with live music, drink specials, and plenty of festive decorations. One thing to note is that The Gator Club has been a smoke-free establishment for several years. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room to smoke outside, and you can even bring your drink with you. Overall, The Gator Club is a great spot to relax and have fun. So grab some friends and head over for a night of live music, great drinks, and good times.

Great atmosphere, pool tables upstairs, live music (bands, DJ’s, karaoke), four bars running on busy nights, friendly bartenders, bouncers, and managers with great personalities. Local favorite and tourist destination. A must for anyone looking to experience the culture and feel of downtown Sarasota.

DON’T GO HERE! The bouncers are awful people that probably just work there to have an excuse to beat people to a pulp without getting arrested for it. They jumped my friends and ruthlessly beat them. Keep in mind my friends didn’t try to fight them at all and didn’t even throw any punches. My buddy was just yelling for help as this bouncer had him in a head lock just ruthlessly beating him, punching him in the head over and over again. It seemed as if the bouncers had a bad day and were just wanting an excuse to kill somebody. My friends are not fighters and didn’t put up a fight at all. The bouncers just kept beating them and threw my friends face first down the stairs after. This USED TO BE a great place. Not anymore. They seriously need to fire some people.

What a fantastic treat. We got there kind of early after a long day out. The bartender Sean was fantastic. He even recommended an upgrade for my partner in crime from 1942 tequila which ended up becoming his new favorite tequila and its hard to impress him. Well done Sean ❤.

The employees at this establishment are very rude and recently attempted to bully individuals lawfully exercising their 1st amendment right on the public side walk in front of the establishment. The employees even tried to get a police officer to remove these law abiding men..based on feelings and emotions. The officer swiftly educated the ignorant karens and Darren's and informed them that what these men were doing was completely lawful. Even after the education..willfull ignorance prevailed and the name calling started by the employees realizing they had no other means.. to try and remove these men. Super sad. Desperation is a stinky cologne...and Can management ...manage to get the doorman some fresh shirts ??

What to say that hasn't already been said about this iconic Sarasota watering hole. 5 stars in every conceivable category. Family owned and operated with class and professionalism. Excellence in hospitality, steeped in tradition and a rite of passage for generations of Sarasotans and tourists alike. As sure as the sun dips quitely into the Gulf, so too will the stress of a long day fade to laughter and friendship under the capable tutelage of any one of their legendary bar keeps. Their roster of first ballot hall of fame mixologists includes such infamous names as Johnny Hernandez, Sean Dargin and Mike 'Big Worm' Brown, just to name a few. A little something for everyone can be found within these storied brick walls...2 floors, 4 bars and multiple stages have played host to many a character from all walks of life, and soothed the woes of weary travelers from every corner of the globe. Sarasota's favorite darling, a true Southwest Florida Treasure, The Gator Club.

We really enjoyed the Whiskey bar with so many wonderful selections to choose from. Great service from staff that seems happy to be working there and excellent band. Definitely will be back soon!

Gorgeous historical building. Sean was fantastic. Polite, friendly, and a breath of fresh air. Drinks were delicious. Pool was free the night we went. Karaoke downstairs was the best I have experienced in years. Able to bring in food. Atmosphere was my favorite part. Thank you guys for a fantastic memory for our vacation!

We go to Bingo on Tuesdays….CRAZY FUN!!! The host Mike is soooo good! But some Tuesdays we bow out because the bartender Michelle is so nasty that we don’t want to put up with her negativity. She doesn’t care how nice people are, or how well we tip….she’s mean.

Bouncers / security are violent terrible human beings. Their job is the protect the bar and the patrons within. Instead they just escalated a misunderstanding and violently beat down long time customers. I couldn’t believe my eyes with how brutal they were beating someone that wasn’t even fighting back and just screaming for help as they were punching him in the head over and over while he was pinned on the floor. Don’t go here looking to have fun, you might be the bouncers next victim. Do better gator club.
