Great experience at the hunted tour of Sarasota. The guide was awesome and a great actress, she even sang for us. There was another actor who play many rolls along the way. Definitely an entertaining hour and a half. The drink included at the beginning of the tour was also a nice touch.

Awesome tour! We saw the Circus Tour and had Bill as our guide. It was great! It also was really cool that he has a personal connection to the circus.

John the driver, and John the guide were amazing. The trolley went down a street that halfway down, was closed off. He had to back the trolley back down to the crossroad- an amazing feat. The guide has lived in the area for over 50 years so he was very knowledgeable. My husband and I throughly enjoyed the tour and will do it again if we go back to Sarasota.

What a blast! We had attended as a group. We were all co-workers and wore our best costumes. What a fun way to ride around downtown Sarasota, see the views and learn some creepy history!!

This tour made me wonder why we have never taken an architecture tour before--although our guide has set an impossibly high bar for the future. Ed was knowledgeable and his love for the area was obvious. Thank you, Discover Sarasota Tours, for an AMAZING experience.

Very enjoyable and entertaining... On our previous trip to Sarasota we learned about this tour company. When we decided to visit again we booked a sightseeing tour that included much of the background and history of the city and its local landmarks. Our host was Steve, a self-proclaimed local and life-long resident who knew much about Sarasota and had lived practically all across the town. The tour was very relaxing, it was quite enjoyable, and Steve was very much funny and entertaining. My wife and I enjoyed the tour and if we return, which we might, we will definitely book another one. Maybe one of their ghost tours...

My wife and I took the Circus Secrets of Sarasota tour and it was great! I forgot the gentleman's name that spoke but he was very informative and interesting. I did not realize how much influence the circus has had and especially in Sarasota. I would definitely suggest taking this tour!

Loved the Mennonite/Amish Tour yesterday. So much History and great information about how the sect formed and what they believe and how they follow their rules and why. Our Guide Kendra was just the BEST!!! Her theory is that this tour is an "Experience" not a Tour. These are people with all the same feelings we have. Once you understand their background you will come to understand and accept them and feel comfortable in their company. Life needs to be more Gentle with those who are unlike us. Understanding leads to the Golden Rule.. Do unto other as you would have them do unto You.

Tammy, this is a lie. No one threatened you. If you consider me saying that I am reporting you for taking our $ and not providing a service a threat then you are the problem. There was another couple that you also stole $ from that heard the conversation. I did not yell at you, you said to stop talking about the other couple when I tried to explain that this happened to other people and hung up on me. Regardless we paid for a tour and showed up and you said it was not for tonight but next Friday. That is a week away and we also paid to Uber there and back. We spent $122 on tickets and you do not have the integrity to refund us for an error. You were very rude and there are three other people that heard the conversation. You did not provide a service and the other couple also saw that the reservation was for tonight. Any reputable company would refund for an error on their website regardless. We will not be here next weekend seeing how we are on vacation. No one should book with this company! This is not an inaccurate review. We do not want a gift card, we will not be here tomorrow. We are obviously not the only ones that had this issue with you. You run an unethical company and kept our $ over an error. I absolutely was not intoxicated, I do not drink nor did I yell. There were 3 other people there to confirm this. There are other reviews of similar incidents with you. Your employee also posted our personal information on the internet which is illegal. This has been reported and will be taken care of. A company with integrity would have refunded the $ for a service that wasn’t received. You seemed very hostile. You keep threatening us on social media and other websites. Spreading lies saying that I was intoxicated. What we have written is an accurate review, no threats were given. We will also be taking legal action if this harassment does not stop.

Amazing, John is not a guide but colorful story taler. You can learn and discover Sarasota. Comfortable trolley with good audio. Well organized tour. Money well spent. Look at their office, you feel love 💕

This tour was excellent. I believe our tour guide was Steve. So interesting--not a wasted minute. First time in Sarasota and this tour gave us a great overview. The rest of our trip was more productive because of this tour.

My husband and I went with our daughter and her husband on the City Sightseeing Tour with driver James and narrator Jon. We toured the entire city and St. Armand's Circle on Long Boat Key. James was a competent driver, navigating several roundabouts and heavy traffic, and Jon shared many details about areas, buildings and history. We've been snowbirds for 12 years, yet learned many facts that we had never heard before. Jon was engaging and funny. Even if you feel you know the city well, this tour is worth taking. We intend to do the Art Tour next time. Definitely an experience to put on your list.

The Sarasota tour was an unforgettable experience. It achieved the ideal balance of education and entertainment. The guides were genuinely enthusiastic about their work, which was evident in the captivating tour they led. The tour's organizers take great pride in their work, and it shows in the welcoming atmosphere they create. You will leave the tour with a newfound appreciation for Sarasota and a desire to explore the city further.

Wonderful Sarasota tour this afternoon . Jon led our tour full of passion as he talked about Sarasota’s history and present day . We have been visiting here for years and loved learning new details about Sarasota’s history.

Tour is extremely uninteresting and boring. They sang kids songs on an adult tour. Total waste of our time. The business is very unethical too. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Find a different tour group to use.

My friend and I took the Mystery Tour, who killed the circus queen ? It was amazing! We laughed so hard, sang to the people downtown, and had the best time. I will do this again. No doubt one of the best times ever. Make memories with others

Discover Sarasota Amish Tour : This tour of the Amish community of Pinecraft and other locations was wonderful ! Our guide, Kendra, was charming, informative and knowledgeable. I learned much about the history of the Amish not only as it pertains to Sarasota but to America as well . And after the tour we went to lunch at a wonderful Amish restaurant! Best tour in Sarasota Florida!

I didn't take the tour because the price tag was way too high at almost $50 AFTER a $5 discount. I've taken on-off tours in major cities around the world for half the price or less. I can't imagine any tour would be worth $50. I rode the free Bay Runner open air trolley to look around the city at no charge instead. No it's not the same but the price was right and notable buildings have signs.

We were on vacation from Georgia and saw an add for a haunted Sarasota tour , we took Uber from Siesta Key to the meet up location. At the meeting location we met another couple on vacation who also booked the tour for tonight June 23rd @ 8:00pm. We waited for an hour, no trolly showed up so I called the number on the add and left a voicemail.I received a text back from a woman named Tammy who said there is no tour tonight and we booked on the June 30th, my wife called the number to explain the situation. She tried to tell Tammy we will be back in Georgia and in booking, it said tonight at 8 PM. She also tried to explain about the other random couple waiting with us ,she rudely told her to stop talking and that they don’t matter. And there is no tour tonight and there will be no refund and hung up the phone. So after an hour wasted, we have to spend another $27 on a ride back to the resort. This is the worst experience we’ve ever had while visiting and we don’t want any people to have this terrible experience do not use the service there online booking dates are false !!!! The response from the female named Tammy below is false 100%. No one threatened anyone or yelled at anytime, the couple that also purchased the same June 23rd ghost tour were standing beside us. The fact is the ticket website was incorrect. The unethical portion is how you would not refund the $122 that was spent on a tour that wasn’t happening. So your organization received a total $244 tonight for false advertising from the website you pay to sell your tickets. We understand you did not operate that website, but there was clearly an error with the schedule showing tonight being available. You offered a gift card instead of a refund, ask yourself does that sound ethical Tammy? You can try to sugarcoat anything you want with your response plain and simple you stole $244 tonight.

Eleven of us did the Circus Murder Mystery tour and it was so much fun. Eight of us had acting parts and it was hilarious to be involved in the murder mystery. We enjoyed everything and recommend this tour. You are guaranteed to laugh through the ride. Kudos to the Discovery Tours team guiding the tour!

My husband and I just did the daytime Discover Sarasota City tour, with our friends, Scott & Sue. From the booking through the tour, it was fabulous. Joan, the gal that greeted us was fun , friendly and very helpful. JT (or TJ) was a great driver who perfectly maneuvered the trolley through the streets of Sarasota. Last, but definitely not least , our Guide , Pat knew everything about Sarasota. He was witty and did a fantastic tour. He was one of the best guides I’ve had anywhere on a tour. We will definitely be back again. Money well spent . Thanks so much !

Guide was knowledgeable and a very good singer. Enjoyed the surprises of the 3 ghosts that joined the tour The driver was very good turning the corners . No bumping the curbs while traveling on narrow streets. A great time.

I went with my wife and her visiting friend. It was excellent very enjoyable. Not at what I expected. We went to mystery theater in Toronto. This was totally unique it had audience participation. I would recommend going to see the performance. I would highly recommend going to see this show it is well worth the time and money.

We went on the Who Killed the Circus Queen tour last night and had a ball! Lots of audience participation. You can opt out easily but why miss the fun? Upbeat and funny, talented cast, with some brilliant moments.

Great tour of Sarasota. Ed, the guide, did an excellent job showing the sights and describing the history of the area. It provides a base for places that you may want to visit in depth later. Ed was not only knowledgeable but enthusiastic and engaging as well. We will definitely be taking our guests from the north on the tour in the future.

Easy to find, plenty of parking. Restroom on site. The tour guides were fun. Only downside was the trolley was FULL… 6 strangers stuck elbow to elbow in the back row… my neck/shoulders hurt being squished and that made it hard to focus on the tour. I feel it was oversold by 2 seats. I won’t be back just for being so squished for 90 minutes. I guess that’s what I get for being last in line to board. (Edit to add a response to the business. Your response is blaming the customer, just like your responses to other reviews. How could I, as the customer, know the back row should only seat 5? You could solve for this in multiple ways… for example, 1.have assigned seating and solve this issue before boarding. 2. The tour guide could manage seating and ask folks to move… there was a lady sitting by herself in 2 seat section. As a customer I’m not gonna ask someone to move for my own safety, and I was with a family member visiting from out of state, so I’m not going to separate from them. The tour guide could see the one person in the two seat and the 6 in the back and ask us to switch. Please think about solutions instead of blaming the customer.
