Communication... Submitted an online request for an appointment on 5/9/21. Didn't hear from anyone until 5/14/21. Finally spoke with center on 5/17/21 and provided the needed additional information that is to be reviewed before an appointment can be scheduled. It is now 5/26/21 and still no appointment or any communication from the center. Considering this is an interventional pain center one would think the consumer/patient who is requesting appointment is in pain, in most cases chronic pain. Why does it take so long? At 4pm today, when the office closes, it will be 14 business days that I have been waiting.... Don't waste your time. If you are in pain and want an office/doctor who cares, find a different doctor.

The front office staff and medical assistant were very pleasant, hence the 2 stars. The doctor is unable or unwilling to comprehend what a person with chronic debilitating pain goes through. The doctor had absolutely nothing to offer to help chronic back pain other than narcotics or spinal cord stimulator. The doctor is unwilling to think about different ways to address pain and is quite dismissive. Anybody who experiences chronic pain knows how frustrating and demoralizing it is to be treated in an uncaring and unempathetic manner by medical professionals. If you are looking for someone to take an interest in your case and try to help in any way other than throwing narcotics or additional surgeries at you, keep looking. You won’t find quality doctors here.

Only saw doctor for 5 minutes. Sent me for tests and then never followed up. Tried to make another appointment 3 times no one returned call.

I arrived at my appointment ten minutes early per the office’s instructions. Upon arrival, I was handed a sheet of paper with treatment options on it that included all of the possible treatment alternatives for pain management. Large sections had giant Xs through them. The receptionist then instructed me to sign the document and forego the possibility of ever needing any of the staff to consider the X’d out sections. When I said I couldn’t do that because of my medical history, I’ve had six rounds of major neurosurgery and I have four degenerative discs in my spine, I was told to wait in the waiting room to see the gentleman who oversees the nurse practitioners. When I explained my situation to the staff, I was forced to go into the intimate details of my specific pain management situation in a waiting room full of people. This is after I was specifically told over the phone that no options are preemptively foreclosed and each patient is treated on a case-by-case basis. The office manager then told me I wouldn’t be seen unless I signed the document. Now mind you: I didn’t have an appointment with a doctor; I had an appointment with a nurse practitioner; the nurse practitioner didn’t look at the 86 pages of medical records I brought with me from my previous pain management doctor, records they insisted I obtain and bring to the appointment; the office manager, not the nurse practitioner with whom I had an appointment, simply told me that I had to sign or not be seen. Unless you’re interested in being treated like cattle, choose one of the many other Sarasota pain management centers. Maybe then you’ll actually get to see a doctor before you waive all your rights to potential treatment options and get embarrassed in a waiting room full of strangers. P.S. This office generates a standard response to all negative Google reviews in which they apologize and promise to reach out to you to set things right. They don’t reach out to you and Google should not allow this kind of chicanery.

Dr. Fura is outstanding but he is surrounded by incompetent NPs, medical techs, front desk staff and billing department. I will not return to this office.

Ramos is a very great place to go to for pain help. They were very easy to talk to and woth a very calm voice and manor. They asked and responded great with my issues promptly. Called back quickly and called in prescriptions when I needed and have never had any problems with anything from them at all. Even after my pain management they called to check in and see how i responded and was feeling. Felt very comfortable and at ease all the time. Great place! Seem to really care about what I needed.

FINALLY! A DOCTOR THAT LISTENS! After going through three other medical professionals who just kept "passing the buck" Dr. Ramos was a breath of fresh air. He went above and beyond for a new patient...including a lot of extra time and empathy for his patient. Our insurance does not cover the Ramos Center, however it is worth paying out of pocket for a doctor and staff (Sallie and Greg - great RNs and Nora and Beth on the administration side). I highly recommend The Ramos Center, where you are treated like a person with dignity and respect. Thank you Dr. Ramos!

This is my second review because great work deserves recognition. I had another two injections this morning. From when you are greeted by gorgeous Whitney, had your IV placed by Sally (who can literally find a vein with her eyes closed) taken back to the surgical suite by handsome Andrew, cheered the Ohio State Buckeyes with George (who puts you to sleep)and then reassured by the incredibly kind and talented Dr Ramos, you feel like family. You feel safe, secure and confident that these people will do what it takes to make you feel better. It's personal for them! Difficult to put into words but a great feeling. I see Janine, the PA for Dr Ramos every three months. I look forward to these appointments. Not only does she listen, she truly cares. She is professional, knowledgeable and the epitome of kindness. I have been a patient for about five years. I was truly blessed to find this practice, and I share this information so that others can find help with such caring people.

A very unorganized practice. Appointment scheduled for 430 pm. Got a call to come in “right now” at 1230 pm. Got there and 10 other people waiting. I waited and then got in. The MA asked about my history (what’s the purpose of filling out the lengthy questionnaire beforehand????). I explained again what I was there for. A NP came in and told me my treatment options were surgery in my neck. I didn’t come for my neck. I came for an unstable shoulder. Gave me no other options and scheduled me 3 weeks out. I went for pain management and unfortunately was sent home to wait 3 more weeks with excruciating pain. Called back and they sent in a script for a 7 day supply of NSAID. No other appointments. So what am I to do after 7 days? Such a joke. Called this morning asking to make another appointment and got sent to voicemail for prescriptions. I’ll be looking for another provider who has competent staff and one where I can actually see a doctor rather than a nurse.

They keep billing me for a missed appointment. I had called in that morning and LEFT A MESSAGE on the voice mail saying I was sick, coughing, nauseous but apparently they DON’T CHECK THEIR VM so now they keep billing me for $25 !!!!! So, be careful. They don’t care about YOU, they only care about $$!

Showed up for appointment, and the office was closed. They will leave you hanging. You can see they don't respond to comments.

I have been a patient of the Ramos Center for over 15 years. I have 3 fused cervical disks, 3 fused lumbar disks and a double knee replacement. I lead a normal life thanks to their care. Few health care providers know the human body as Danny does. He diagnoses precisely where the patient is hurting and Dr. Ramos places the needles in the exact location to apply the “magic potion” that reduces the pain. My husband is also a patient after he heard me praise this practice. Thank you Ramos Center.

If you ever have a problem with perscription problems don't bother with them! They never get back to you in time. The only person who really cares is Danny, he's great and I trust him more than anyone else in this practice! I'm looking into another practitioner soon!!

The place is fairly new, clean. The receptionist are very friendly and helpful. There never is really a long wait. The doctor was very nice and explained EVERYTHING to me both in medical & layman terms. He was patient and listened to all my concerns.

The service I had with them was good till the end then they turn in to a joke they gave me pain meds only a low dose that did not work and they canceled all of my pain meds cuz of the medicine bottle said they are blaming me for what I did in which it's not my fault .

I was a patient at The Ramos Center in Sarasota and I had bad shoulder pain. I went to see Justin at Physical Therapy and he resolved my pain. I am extremely happy and recommend them.

This clinic is one of the best places to find a solution for your pain. I was almost incapable of walking and doing every day activities like putting my socks on by myself. After seeking help from the Ramos Pain clinic I have been able to resume my life and can justifiably recommend this place for any of your needs! Everyone at the office is very welcoming and approachable for anything you might need! 5 out of 5!

Nice staff. Explained what they would be doing to relieve my neck pain. Regretfully after getting many injections into my neck over several months I am still experiencing substantial pain in my neck and shoulders.
