As
a
former
customer,
I
feel
that
I
must
express
my
displeasure
at
how
my
family
and
I
were
treated
on
August
18,
2023.
Our
waiter
provided
one
tablet
for
the
four
of
us
to
order
from
the
menu.
As
we
are
all
in
our
seventies,
we
asked
for
paper
menus
or
something
with
bigger
print
as
we
struggled
to
read
the
small
print.
The
young
man
told
us
that
was
all
they
had.
My
sister
then
asked
for
a
water
with
lemon.
The
waiter
brought
the
water,
but
no
lemon.
I
reminded
him
that
she
asked
for
lemon
and
he
left.
When
he
returned
with
a
small
bowl
of
lemon
slices
and
dropped
it
on
the
table
and
proclaimed
“This
is
what
you
get.”
I
got
up
from
my
seat
and
said
“Really?”
First
the
small
print,
then
the
attitude
about
the
lemons.
He
rebuffed
me
and
told
me
if
I
didn’t
like
it
we
could
leave.
I
told
him
I
wanted
to
speak
to
a
manager.
The
manager
came
out
and
I
told
him
I
wanted
to
complain
about
the
attitude
of
his
waiter
and
the
small
print
on
the
tablet.
He
explained
that
the
print
was
no
different
than
any
of
the
other
restaurant
menus
in
town
as
he
had
verified
it
before
they
rolled
them
out.
I
explained
that
our
family
were
all
seniors
and
veterans
and
that
there
should
be
some
sort
of
accommodation.
The
manager
then
told
me,
“Seniors
and
Veterans
don’t
matter
and
if
you
don’t
like
it
you
can
leave.”
We
then
left
and
went
elsewhere
for
lunch,
where
the
staff
was
respectful
and
they
provided
menus
we
could
all
read.
Our
experience
at
J.
W.
Hugus
is
not
what
we
expected
in
Saratoga.
We
have
been
visiting
family
here
for
over
seventy
years
and
have
never
felt
so
much
discourteousness
and
disrespect.
