Had an excellent time for my last 3 days in Costa Rica. I was greeted with the warm Costa Rica welcome and upgraded to an ocean front room with a jacuzzi. Since I was traveling alone, I did eat all of my meals here and they were all fantastic. I am also a vegetarian and Carlos was so helpful with suggestions and getting items prepared that were without any meat. The front desk helped out when I wanted to book tours. The grounds are lovely and it was amazing to hear the waves all night in my room. The only downside was that there were people on the beach trying to sell stuff which was a little bothersome, but don’t let that take away from your experience here. I had just come from a 4 night stay at the W in Playa Conchal so the beach was totally different, but the water was calm enough to be able to do activities other than surfing. I can’t wait to come back and visit. They made me and my dog feel so welcome and really ended my trip in the most positive way possible. Another plus is that it is super close to the airport, it took 20 minutes to drop my rental car off at Adobe rental car. There is also parking for guests that has a guard at all times. Alex was the guard while I was there and he always said hello to me and helped me with my luggage when I was leaving.

Amazing atmosphere here, we love it here and come back every year on our transit into Nicaragua. This place is very family oriented and there is alot of nature here including monkeys overhead on the trees.

The hotel has around 30 rooms, we had a garden view with huge windows, personal patio. All the rooms just renovated with modern-day style. Lots of huge trees around the hotel. The food in the restaurant was delicious, happy hour from 5-7 with half price drink. You can walk to the beach, and there are several restaurants on the beach. Very quiet hotel to stay.

Beautiful, quiet boutique hotel in a calm area. The beach is 10 steps away and the sand is lovely. This is our second time in the hotel because we love it so much, just as good as it was for our first trip in 2019 if not better.

beautiful property! highly recommend the room with a private spa tub on the deck bc the room was so spacious! the employees were all very nice. the lunch and dinner food options were somewhat limited but you can easily go to the nearby hotels for food. the breakfast was great as well as the room service. we can for our anniversary trip and would def come back. we also stayed at the marriott and liked our room here much better.

Wonderful hotel. Very quiet stretch of beach. Thoroughly enjoyed being able to park my lounger in the shade under a tree for hours. The staff is lovely. Cool swing hammock in the bar. Lots of monkey action and iguana sightings.

The staff is AMAZING ! The food has been yummy , and plate presentations beautiful . I have been here with a travel group, but it is so romantic and secluded . I hope to return soon. You can relax or visit the concierge for excursion ideas . It is so worth the price ! It is outstanding in every way .

We stayed for the last 3 nights of our trip. The location is amazing. Right on the beach and shops just up the street if you need anything, which you really don't because the hotel provides everything you need. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are happy! They upgraded us to an ocean front suite when we arrived for free. Loved this hotel. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere! Room size was great! Beds were pretty comfy and view was great!

This hotel exceeded every expectation. The hotel staff were super helpful, nice and respectful. The hotel itself is everything the website shows it to be. You will need a rental car or hotel transportation to get to activities or other towns and beaches.

I stayed at this hotel like a year ago. Rooms and facilities in general are very nice. Today I went for lunch, food was ok and I got a discount after complaining about missing avocado in my dish. Service was awfully slow. After confirming with one of the waitresses that they serve cocktails on the beach chairs, I got seated and minutes later a waiter came. After I tried to order a drink the waiter told me that only hotel guests were allowed to use the chairs and he refused to serve me anything from the restaurant, he said that those were orders from the management. This is how they treat customer at this place. Not recommended at all.

We stayed here a week and love this beautiful place! The hotel is completely in the trees and right at the beach. We had an ocean view suite, which is absolutely worth it, with a balcony to relax on with a perfect view of the beach, the bay and the surrounding garden-like jungle. We got to know the wonderful staff members, beginning with Roy for transportation who gave us a tour guide description of the area on the way to the hotel, even stopping at a grocery store for us. The dining room staff members are exemplary, greeting us cheerfully and serving us efficiently at each meal. Many thanks to Jonathan, Harry, Shirley, Alexis, Clary and the rest who I am sorry I don’t have your names; you made all the difference for a memorable stay. The food is very good, and we loved the variety at each meal, especially the seafood selections and desserts. We did walk up the beach to the friendly and casual local town area for lunch a couple of times as well. We were at the end of the rainy season so we had almost daily rain but we swam in the warm ocean anyway. There are many lounge chairs to use on the beach, and a small pool to cool off in too. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

We loved how the hotel is nestled in the trees and right on the beach. Also, we loved the staff that we interacted with. However, the hotel could use some updates. From beds, to couches, to outdoor furniture, to TVs, the overall room experience doesn’t match the price you’ll pay.

I loved that this hotel was completely covered by so much vegetation and greenery. It gave it a really natural vibe. In fact part of the restaurant sits between tree trunks. Overall, I had a great experience here. We were welcomed with drinks upon arrival which was a nice touch. The room itself was pretty good, the bed is quite firm which we liked. The location itself is rather removed from anything else but I actually liked the seclusion. The beach which is a few steps from the hotel was beautiful and the water nice and warm. The only downside was that no breakfast was included, and the food that we purchased was both mediocre and expensive. On the positive side, the bar has good deal on drinks for happy hour so don't miss that!

My family had an amazing time during this stay. Rooms were spacious , large, clean and modern. The garden was fantastic. Gave a feeling of rooms being situated inside a forest. Our room had an ocean view. We were on the beach and it was great being able to play in the ocean multiple times a day. The restaurant , spa and pools were well maintained. The best were the people on site . They were friendly and helped with everything we needed. They gave good advice for activities. Overall a fantastic stay, I will go back to Hotel Bosque del Mar.

Excellent place to rest and enjoy their beautiful nature . A mix of forest with the beach, add their amazing people, food and fauna makes an excellent combo . All staff was super professional, kind and knowledgeable. They make an extra step to help you in anything you ask for . Their rooms are big, clean and their products are so nice with a beautiful organic smell . They have a modern decoration mixed with wood and stone . Love it ! 100 % recommended !!

I stayed here for one night in September 2023. The hotel was beautiful and you have access to the stunning secluded beach. Unfortunately during our stay, all day construction made it almost impossible to sit and relax. If you are lucky enough to confirm there will not be construction during your stay, then proceed without any hesitancy. If there will be, and you had hoped for some peace and quiet, you might want to hold off! The food was delicious and the hotel itself felt like a secret garden.

Have stayed in this wonderful hotel several times, but we now live here full time so we just go to have some great cocktails upstairs and just love the atmosphere.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip. We had a few hiccups that definitely need mentioning. The front desk and communication is ok. We were greeted and the desk clerk stated one of our two rooms were ready, which was no problem. WE were pushed off to the spa reception and told to schedule our appointments. We did not want appointments and when we finally cleared that up our luggage was gone and they were headed to our room without us. So we had to find our rooms , which were to be joined, however but the door was locked between us. We had to go to the front desk 3 times to get someone to unlock the door. Our keys never worked so every time we went to go to the room, we needed to go back to the front desk to get our keys fixed. This pool was freezing cold. And there is trick for the hot water in your shower. Now the good things; our rooms were spacious and clean. Our balcony was wonderful to enjoy the howler monkeys and other animals. Our drinks were delicious. The food was decent. This resort needs a director to have the staff follow a proper routine. It seems that they are all running around and no one knows what the other is doing.

Stayed one night before returning to usa. It is a very nice boutique hotel by the beach and surrounded by lush landscape. The howling monkeys are there and announced their presence in the morning- at 6 am:). Very nice pool. Hotel had a restaurant on site, we ate lunch and ordered drinks for the beach. The only issue was that they did not have enough beach chairs -maybe management could have more in storage and provide to the guests upon request. Otherwise we liked the experience, views, service and would definitely recommend to others. It is conveniently located from the airport- just 30 min away and had plenty of secured parking.

We stayed at Hotel Bosque del Mar both at the beginning and end of our trip when flying to/from Liberia and the service was above and beyond. The location is wonderful--about 30 minutes from the airport and on the end of the beautiful and quiet Playa Hermosa just north of Coco Beach. The staff went above and beyond to help us coordinate airport shuttles and a shuttle from Montezuma all with our mountain bikes. They stored our bike boxes for us while we rode around Nicoya and had them waiting for us in the room on our return stay!

Very pleasant and up to date hotel. Pricier than most die to this fact. The best dining room that we visited during our 2 week stay in Playa Hormosa

Hotel Bosque del Mar is a beautiful hotel on the beach, offering breathtaking sunset views from their restaurant. Pablo and Roy were wonderful as well! They were very welcoming and helped us with activity accommodations during our trip. Thank you again!

This was an awesome hotel. Our room was steps away from the beach. Loved going to sleep listening to the Ocean. Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious.

We loved every minute of our stay and we’re sad to leave! What a beautiful hidden paradise. Rooms are very spacious with a balcony where you can have your breakfast outside and watch monkeys swinging by on the trees. You will love it. It is even more beautiful in real life than on the pictures.
