Great chippy with extensive Chinese and grill kebab menu. Great value too. Owners have been there years. Support your locals.

Do not know what was worse, the revolting attitude of the man that served me or the rupulsive food. Gravy was congealed, chicken kebab was served with hard pieces of chicken (clearly reheated), the onion "slices" were chunks that couple double up as door wedges, the cucumbers had dried out and had been tossed in a bag that meant it had gone everywhere. Absolutely disgusting place, save your custom and go to one of the many other refineries close by. Needs to be shut down if that's the standard of food they're producing, not a care given to the quality. Never again.

Salt and pepper box. £13.50 couldn't fault it 👌🏻

Recently moved here and usually always go pasture chippy. However pasture was closed so gave this chippy a try. Lovely food, massive portions. I had the salt and pepper box which was lovely and a good variety in the box. Also they said it was £19.90 over the phone so only took £20 but it ended up being £20.70 and they kindly let me off with the 70p which I will pass in when I'm passing. This will now be my new chippy.

Use this chippy every Friday at 5.15pm phone my order at 4.55pm . What can I say nice food but nearly every week something is not right with order get home and not what I ordered so frustrating as I love the food. I even explain and explain again .wish they would listen on phone 1 week good next wrong

We have been going on and off for the last few years when we had to. I’ve never been to somewhere that can’t consistently cook chips. They’re mostly undercooked and greasy and have to sometimes wait up to 20 minutes for them. After another bad meal in the bin, we won’t be going again.

Great tasting food, generous portion sizes, reasonably priced. Traditional Fish & Chips plus burgers and Chinese takeaway options. Mini fish dinner is Highly recommended !

Had food loads of times , took a while to arrive this time !!! Ordered mixed grill !! Got home no chips so meat gravy 4 tea waited ages , couldn't be bothered going back ???? Disappointed tbh..

Been there the last 4 weeks and great food and then went last Saturday night for 5 meals and they all went in bin , it was absolutely terrible, all you could taste was lard and fat even the next morning that taste was still there , the toilet got a right bashing, never going back there . Shocking waste of money.

Made up price's. Asked if they did a battered burger and replied yes. Paid on card then questioned the bill. The so called boss said price was £4 which is the price they charge for a burger in a bun with all the trimmings. I challenged the made up price but he said that was the price and wouldn't refund me. Total bad attitude of the boss. At least he has got the chippy name right. As the chips and burger were like a continental tyre.

Always tasty fish and chips. Been going to years on and off, moved back here a couple of months ago so becoming almost weekly now. Same amazing quality, reasonable prices and really lovely staff. Can't fault them one bit.

For a takeaway this is pretty decent, portions are huge and the food is good value for money. They do possibly one of the tastiest Doner Kebebs I've ever had, and portion size is very generous. Fish and chips we had last week were not bad, although the fish was a little greasy. The Chinese meals are okay, not the best I've had but, not the worst by far. Again, portion size seems to be their thing and you get plenty for your money.

Lovely fish, cooked when you order. Get it home quick and eat when it's still hot inside, crispy outside and doesn't stick to the paper. YUM YUM.

Have used this takeaway throughout its various changes in ownership over the years. It's our local. The service is generally efficient and the food is decent with ample portion sizes. It all works well and is a popular choice.

The Continental is a great "chippy". It has all bases covered, Kebabs, burgers, Chinese meals and all our old favourites. Well worth a visit.
