UPDATE: Finally got my meatball sub. Fantastic. Not only have I gotten my meatball sub, but we have been ordering from here almost once a week (we stopped ordering from Nick's around the corner cuz their food went downhill and prices sky rocketed.) I've gotten meatballs as a side and even a meatball Sicilian Pizza. I have also tried the chicken kabob salad. Love their food here!! They really do have good meatballs and great food. I moved to Saugus almost 2 years ago (from out of state) and this year I been trying to get a good meatball sub. My bf says this is the best place to get meatballs because they are homemade... In the past 2-3 months... I still haven't been able to get my meatball sub. 1st time - out of meatballs 2nd time - closed due to AC being broken (but understandable it was over 100° outside) And then tonight.... Out of meatballs again. But besides the fact I haven't been able to get a meatball sub... The food is good and a great price and a huge portion of food. When I finally get a meatball sub... I'll update my review. :)

My family and I order for here constantly and for every party large and small, and NEVER will again . Called to see if they offered 4ft or 6ft Subs, and place a catering order . The employee who answered the phone was dumbfounded by this question, left us on hold for 20 mins to get an answer, and we were hung up on 2x. Called a 3rd time and a women Laura who claimed to be the owner answered the phone, (I don’t know what owner would give an answer like this ), and said no go to Subway, they offer that …. Lol what a dummy ! When I said how disappointed we were by such a rude answer she expressed “she was done” and hung up …. Do not continue to give small businesses like this your money , let them put themselves out of business with an attitude like that. The food has sucked lately, but we were willing to give it another try ! Called New Deal and they were so accommodating! Order for 100 ppl was taken and placed in less than 5 mins !

Me and my family are visiting from Colorado and heard about J & M’s and it was even better than we expected… great food… great portions… great prices… great people!!! We will be back!

Ordered a chicken cutlet with prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, and roasted red pepper. They put grilled chicken on it, when I call the female owner (who is always very pleasant) asks me "do you want to just have it and we'll get it right next time?" I said absolutely not I wanted a chicken cutlet sub it is what I ordered. I go back to exchange it and this is what they give me....barely any chicken and NO prosciutto also the wings were supposed to be plain with buffalo on the side so my daughter could have some but they put the buffalo sauce on them ;( . I am only writing this because EVERY single time I order they get my order wrong even when I say last time it was wrong, will be sticking to J Pace's from now on and it is a shame because their rolls are so good and they are usually very nice.

A nice meatball sub, braided roll - bonus. The sandwich was filled end to end, very important. Also had peppers and onions- cooked, sandwich toasted !! Does not get any better than that, my friend-my friend. With a pepperoni slice to "prime the pump".

Always good food but tonight they nailed. The pizza had an ideal sauce ratio cooked to perfection. They always have the best cheese chewy and salty. It’s so good I’m glad we got 2!

Best Italian sub I have had. I used to drive from Danvers to get these they were so good.

Great Pizza. The sandwich is a great as well. Made on the braided Sesame rolls.

One of the best steak and cheese in town but def not buying $14 anymore what happened to $8.25 subs. Boy, do I miss the 90s. Great food and friendly staff but sometimes older female behind the counter isn't always with us but nonetheless a sweetheart. Staff works very hard and food is good.

Love the baked potato pizza for years! Last 4 times we've ordered it, no scallions on the pizza that really makes it great! Never complained yet called about it this last time to ask. Been in the Restaurant Business my entire life. Instead of apologizing the phone operator and the guy he was talking to decided to lie and say they took it off the menu yet it's still there in print. Don't charge $22 for a specialty pizza If you can't afford those expensive scallions to put on it and lie to loyal customers. Just WOW!

Absolutely LOVE their pizza. I think it's the best around! On Mondays & Tuesdays, they offer 2 large pies for a total of $20. Can't beat it. We munched off of it for a few days. Great reheated, too. Dining area is nothing to talk about. Very limited seating; most people take out. I believe they offer other specials too, but I don't know what they are. Very little to NO Parking around. Maybe a couple of spots in front of the store & maybe you could try the dead end street next door, or other businesses when their stores are closed near by...

I only get takeout from here but the order is always ready when they say it will be I never have to wait.
