Pretty nice natural landscape. Found some abandoned boats near a cell phone antenna. The area has a lot of trash all around which kind of detracts from the natural landscape. Would be nice if the town did something to clean it up. It's still worth a visit though, as long as you don't mind the bugs.

Sadly these marshes are dead because of the Saugus Wheelabrator and other sources of pollution. The disgusting wheelabrator spilled their toxic ash there in 2009, and tried to clean it up themselves, committing ecocide.

Not the most beautiful or dynamic reservation I have visited. Path is just a continuous straight line that only provides fleeting water views. Entrance is not well marked and should be adjusted on Google Maps to show the small parking lot on Ballard Street. Whole place is a bit desolate and slightly unsafe feeling.

An amazing area for birding - I’ve seen Bank Swallows and American Kestrels here, along with many other types of birds. There is a diversity of ecosystems along the walking paths and benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. I’ll definitely be back soon!

What can I say? My heart is here. No matter where you go there you are.

It's sad that these marshes were destroyed by Wheelabrator Saugus and their unlined ash landfill. that incinerator also smells terrible. how is this considered "protected"?

Beautiful area to pause from a good run or walk. Very well kept and the vistas allow for some great photos

It’s local and its beautiful. Live not far but home or at the marsh I always see such unique wild life. Thats what I love the most, especially the birds. I once saw a bird my height walking around the area just chilling (5 ft) Not sure what it was but it was dope❀️

Definitely lacks shade and closer marsh overlooks, but there were many birds around, and the path is wide.

Great spots here for fishing (striped bass) but otherwise pretty industrial area surrounding the preserve
