This hotel is an excellent value in the historic district at a prime location. A beautiful modern hotel on the river with views of river traffic. It’s downstream from the busy container ship port-not scenic but interesting. Summer rates will soar with good reason so visit in the winter and enjoy the spring like temperatures- much better than the heat later in the year. Only downside is the cost to park-valet- but considering the service intensity it’s not unreasonable at $38 daily. I paid one night when I arrive very late and changed parking to the city garage a short distance across Bay St on Whittaker-$16 daily. Easy to use. I plan to return in a few years and may try one of the historic B&B’s as a contrast. The historic district of Savannah is one of the best destinations in the country- beauty, charm, historical interest and tons to do. This hotel is perfect for a first visit.

Man, where do I start?! I took a mini vacation and chose this hotel. It's one of the BEST CHOICES I've made!!! From the time I walked into the place, I was taken away by the beauty of its scenery and by the employees' EXCELLENT personalities!! The workers from the valet, front desk, concierge, and the restaurant! For my whole time there not one worker showed any negative attitude or act as if they didn't want to be at work!! They were all helpful, courteous, and joyful! The food was great and so were the drinks. The location of the hotel, of course, is perfect. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was clean also. Every day, you get 2 complimentary bottle waters in your room. The only bad thing was that the valet is like $48-49 per night🤭. There are other options to park elsewhere, but u have to walk to the hotel. I LOVE this place and intend on visiting again🥰🤗🤗

It’s just awful. We stayed for one night and that was too much. We ordered a king bed and they didn’t have and offered us two full beds. We were understanding so we took it. They gave us one with a view to the river so we thought it was worth it. Then we saw the bathroom and it was very small and uncomfortable and on top of that the tub didn’t drain properly and we had to wait in between showers so it wouldn’t flood. After that my husband decided to check his account and they overcharged us for parking not once but three times for parking. The lighting in the room was not great as well. We were awoken by a loud band in the night. And next morning at 9:00 we called front desk for a cart for our bags for 9:30, we called at 9:32 to see if they were coming soon and the lady laughed at us and said that we had to give them time because we called about 3 minutes ago and that it would take 15 to 20 minutes. We grabbed our own bags and checked ourselves out. We went to the parking elevator and waited for about 5 minutes because the other one was broken. Another couple came after us with a bellhop and when we came down to pick our car the employee actually attended first the couple with the bellhop. We wanted to get out as soon as possible. When we got our car the passenger window was open, our front windshield was dirty and the conductor and back passenger window were also dirty, the car smelled strange. I’m not sure about the passenger window the person who brought it could have just rolled it down at that moment, it’s the most likely possibility I don’t know. Still an overall bad experience. The only star I give is for the view. Thanks for the reply, we requested that same day the refund of the overcharged valet and we are hopeful that our money will be returned. Nevertheless I have been verifying other reviews from this hotel and this is a quite common practice among this hotel. Seems that we are not the only ones with this inconvenience. But that was only one of the many inconvenience that we have had. Please treat your customers with the respect that they deserve, this is not directed towards a particular employee but to the Hyatt Regency Savannah Hotel and it’s system.

While the Hyatt Regency Savannah boasts an unbeatable location, its exterior leaves much to be desired, presenting an eyesore that doesn't do justice to the charming River Front. Inside, the hotel shows signs of weariness, suggesting a need for rejuvenation to bring back its sparkle. The rooms, although satisfactory, would greatly benefit from some tender loving care to elevate the guest experience. Given the price point, one might expect more from this establishment, especially when considering the array of superior alternatives available along the River Front. This review may come across as harsh, but it's meant to offer an honest assessment based on my experience.

Great hotel. Friendly staff. Very clean. The rooms were quiet, (except when the guy decided to play his trumpet on the riverwalk. You could hear it on the six floor, but running the fan helped to drown him out.) We paid for a river view, and it was worth every penny! Moon River was inspired here! Would definitely recommend. (View from our hotel room.)

The Hyatt always takes great care of us and this location was no exception! Absolutely stunning views of the bridge and river. The balconies aren’t quite deep enough to sit out on, but the weather was cool so we sat just inside the open slider and thoroughly enjoyed watching the cargo ships, tugboats and ferries. Lots of birds too - cormorants, gulls, grackles and even a bald eagle! And dolphins every night at sunset - I had no idea they came so far inland! The front desk staff were welcoming and so helpful. The valet employees were exceptional, always so quick and kind and we loved being able to pick our car up on the parking level and not deal with the busy traffic out front. The women at the Express restaurant were lovely as well. All around a fantastic trip! We felt very safe here and loved how clean everything was. If we weren’t still in this darn pandemic, I would’ve spent more time in the lobby and bar as they had great views too. The only thing we were missing was a microwave, but we didn’t really need one with all the options they had available. Thank you, Hyatt Regency Savannah!

We had a river view room which was cool! My son enjoyed watching the giant cargo ships go by! Beds were super comfy! Bathroom was a bit tight.... Staff was friendly and helpful! Convenient location, would stay there again!

This is the best overall hotel based on location in Savannah—direct access to both Bay Street and River Street means you can explore the historic district without using the sketchy pedestrian access points, plus the view of the river even from “city view” rooms is commanding—it’s worth the splurge. Be aware this hotel charges a $25 resort fee. Amenities beyond what’s standard for a hotel in this price range include a welcome beverage, some credits at the small market shop (enough for a bag of peanuts and a candy bar), two bottles of water, and some discounts in the restaurant/bar and nearby shops. There is no self-parking, and while the app’s listing for parking is confusing as to price, valet parking is $48. This wouldn’t bother me if 1) the website hadn’t indicated it was $20 for a sedan and 2) it had been true valet. While they did park the car when I left it with them in front of the hotel, when we collected the car, they simply handed over the key and pointed to the car. Not a huge issue, until I looked at the car and it was parked with another car about four inches from the driver’s door—meaning I had to crawl in from the passenger side to escape the garage. Not exactly what I’d expect for the almost $50 premium on parking. The room itself was spacious and bright, with good views of the river. There were ample places to charge a phone/whatever, and the room was clean and quiet. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it was adequate and probably would have been better with some tightening of the bolts on the bedframe—it felt a bit wobbly when getting in or out of the bed. The shampoo and conditioner were nice, but the bar soap provided for the sink was small and somewhat harsh. Overall, I likely would have rated 5 stars but for the parking situation, and I would stay here again.

My room with king size bed was not available when I arrived. The hotel wanted to give me double queen beds. That would not work for me, but they quickly found another room for me, which was a little bit of an upgrade. I love the areas for lounging very nice, you could find such a beautiful spot with ease. The view of the river was great. The restaurant located in the hotel food was ok. The mattress was very hard for me. The hotel is in a great location and surrounded by restaurants and shops.

Rooms were average to be honest. Of course you have to pay extra for a river view, which they don't mention until you arrive. Parking is $40 something extra per night - and that isn't mentioned either. Was out all day and came back to a room that hadn't even been touched by housekeeping. Had to call downstairs to ask for towels and restock items that should have been in the room long before we got back. I wouldn't waste the money on this place again.

Stayed for a weekend trip, rooms with river view were nice. Can see ships come and go. Central location. Breakfast was your standard fare. Would be very weary of parking your car here. Valet only, no option for self-parking. The attendants do not know how to handle the tight turning radius of electric vehicles. Completely scuffed rims of rear passenger side. What's more aggravating is the hotel refuses to accept any liability, as they 'contract' it out to a third party company. Also, while waiting for car in lower level valet pickup area, you can hear tires screeching and zipping by so fast where there are families with little kids packing up. Just further reflection of the way your cars will be treated while parking here. Understaffed, and unprofessional valet, especially for the amount you're asked to pay to park each night. Would recommend just parking at another garage nearby if you choose to stay here

Guest services are hit or miss. The room wasn't cleaned until 6 p.m., and the cleaning staff didn't vacuum or leave clean wash cloths. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows are for decoration, not head support. Rooms are dark, and the bedsheets are dingy and likely not changed before arrival. The lobby is well kept, and it is a great location for walking to restaurants on the river street district. If you do stay here, make it for a night or two.

We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everyone that we met was extremely knowledgeable and provided only the best service to us. Overall we had a positive experience, but there are some noteworthy details below. 1.) The hotel's location is right on River Street. There is an elevator inside the hotel that takes you directly to River Street. 2.) Valet service is $48 a day, not including tips. It sounds expensive but is well worth it. There is virtually no parking around this area, and if you don't want to walk 2 blocks to a parking garage, this is your best option. We had a very pleasant experience with the valet staff during our stay. 3.) All photos attached to this review are either taken from our hotel room, the fourth-floor terrace, or the hotel lobby. We loved the views of the Savannah River and the overall vibe.

The lobby is absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly and approachable. We paid over $700 for two nights on the weekend. We expected $700 worth of room but could have gotten the same staying at Motel 6. I had to take time out of my vacation to dust and wipe down hair from almost every surface. The dust was so thick that it was flying into the air in chunks. It made our allergies horribly bad. We expect some dust but this was horribly bad. We called the front desk who stated someone would come clean the room more thoroughly so we left to allow them to do so. I left a drawer open that was full of hair so they would see it right away. The room wasn't any better when we returned. They made the bed and restocked. The drawer with hair was simply shut and the hair remained. I mentioned it directly with a manager when I was purchasing a Gatorade who generously gave us room credit and said she'd have her best employee reclean the room. The hair was gone this time and it was thoroughly dusted but the floor was just as dirty. A motrin pill was on the floor when we arrived and it was still on the floor when we departed. There is mold in the bathroom, water marks and toothpaste on the bathroom door. The room didn't have a remote when we arrived and the one they brought us didn't have all the buttons operable. While we didn't stay in the room throughout the day, we did want a comfortable stay at night, including knowing our room was up to par. If they didn't take enough care and notice of the cleanliness of the entire room and not just the bigger things, then how can we feel comfortable knowing the beds, pillows, etc were up to standards. It was definitely not worth the money spent. It had an amazing view and was nice and close to River Street. That was a major plus!

Amazing location, right on the river and within walking distance of lots of great restaurants, bars and shops. Request a river view room so you can really take advantage of the location. The room I had was a partial river view. I had no problems sleeping at night, the city is fairly quiet at night. They do have room service though I did not use it. They have a little shop in the lobby for medicine or items you might have forgotten. There is coffee and a mini fridge in the room. The only complaint I have is that the air blew on the back of the chair of the desk and I had to pull a curtain in the front of it so I could sit at the desk without freezing. This seems to be a common design as several other people who stayed there had the same complaint.

We only stayed for a short time. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Would’ve been 5 stars but the bed was probably the most firm bed I’ve ever slept on in my life, to the point that I actually had a nightmare about trying to find a softer bed. The location was beautiful. The hotel was nice. Clean. Slightly dated and carpet in the room was a little worn. But still an overall pleasant experience and I would recommend if you like an extra extra firm bed.

Absolutely love this hotel. It's an experience everytime. I've booked it twice for Savannah now and it's ideal with the location and accommodations. It's right in the heart of down town so you can walk everywhere and take tours to really take in the culture and ambience of the area. The Hotel itself is on the river I recommend rooms that oversee it. There is a nice restaurant in the lobby and plenty of Lounging space. Everyone that works here has great customer service in this gorgeous building.

Location is on spot and lobby is nice. Beautiful entrance and Service is nice. However the room is so dusty like it was never cleaned. I can write my name in the dust. Ripped sheets were on the bed with marks. Have to wonder did they ever change the sheets?? There is no microwave in the room. You have to share with everyone in the hallway that is nasty. It look like it was never cleaned. Put some money into your hotel and put microwave in each room. I ordered avocado toast and they put a smudge of avocado on the toast and piled it up with lettuce so you wont notice. If I am paying 61.00 for breakfast you think they would make it worth it. Where is the avocado?? Cooking staff not wearing gloves and mask.. I don't think I would go back to this hotel. My experience was disappointing.

The hotel was in a great location. The front desk staff and valet were very nice as well. Our room was clean and comfortable, but it was very dark. The room’s balcony faced the inside of the building so it felt a bit strange. The bar got pretty loud at night from our room. Other than that it was a perfectly fine stay!

We arrive at the Hyatt Regency the staff, valet service and check-in was outstanding. Our room was clean and really enjoy our balcony view of the river watching the container ships, ferry passing and relaxing to the calm Savannah River. On the property, the breakfast was Amazing and there's a Bar and Dining area. The Hyatt Regency was walking distance to shops and eatery. We also enjoyed the atmosphere relaxing at Hyatt Regency. We will stay again.

We had the best time on our stay. It was just one night. We were leaving our honeymoon in Disney early since there was a hurricane coming. This wonderful lady named Tequila waited on us. She upgraded us to a honeymoon suite with a private balcony. We were able to relax and enjoy our time together. We’ve stayed at the Hyatt before and they have always been wonderful to us. They definitely went above and beyond this time to make our honeymoon special.

Impressive hotel. We are retired and have the luxury to take our time before choosing a hotel. We always choose 4 stars hotel. Today on our way from Charleston NC to Jacksonville Florida, the weather was bad, therefore, we decided to stop instead in Savannah! We are glad we did. We had one of the most beautiful welcome by the bellman, Corey Williams. We asked for his name to thank him. 1000s thanks Corey. Christian at the desk was great and welcoming. The room are high end, way better than many 4 stars. Great hotel

I booked a Kind bedroom for me and my boyfriend to visit Savannah over the Halloween weekend. I’ve stayed here numerous times and it has been great, so I was very excited. Upon check-in, the lady at the desk told us that they were completely sold out of King beds, and she gave us two double beds. The only thing she offered was $50 off the stay, which was not worth it since we each ended up paying over $350 a night there. I was very disappointed to be sleeping on a small, separate bed alone instead of staying with my boyfriend in a King bed. After last stay, I am not planning on coming back.

  • 3/5 Shereta B. 4 months ago on Google
For the price you pay no free breakfast and no coffee maker in room. you have to pay for parking on the premises which is valet and pricey. The double beds in rooms are small they need queen size beds. Other than that, it's a good location.

Location’s perfect right by the river. The service was terrible. We got a room next to exit stairways and asked them to find another room. The receptionist said “no” and couldn’t do anything for us. The door to the stairway slams when closing so loudly startled us several times throughout the night. They have an indoor pool, but maintenance is not what we expected. The air and water were too cold to swim. There were no towels and I had to go back to the lobby to ask. The hotel is not budget friendly- and on top of that they charge the destination charge (for 2 water bottles and welcome cocktail which we couldn’t even get because of the late check-in). I don’t think this hotel is worth trying. There are other hotels around also are in good locations. I wouldn’t want to come back. Little addition after checking out: The digital room key to add to your Apple wallet didn’t work after many steps of verifications. Express check out through the app did not work either.

Nice and cozy hotel. Located on the banks of the Savannah River. Beautiful view. Breakfast is not included, but on the ground floor level there is an excellent restaurant where you can buy coffee, caramel macchiato, latte and other as well as have excellent breakfast, dinner or lunch for an additional cost. Very excellent service. And the hotel is located in the center of downtown in an excellent location, so if you want to walk around the city or go somewhere for dinner, you practically don’t need a car (everywhere is very close). There is only valet parking for about $50 a day. But across the street there is Public parking where you can park a car for cheaper rates. Family and kids friendly. I recommend it.

  • 4/5 Maryah B. 4 months ago on Google
Location was absolutely great! Pretty much everything is walkable so a car was not needed at all however rooms were not the cleanest, I upgraded to city view to check in early and the room we had was not cleaned properly... stains on walls/doors and furniture was falling apart. Luckily, I did bring this up to the front desk and they were kind enough to switch rooms that was much cleaner which I appreciated.

  • 2/5 C S. 4 months ago on Google
Highly disappointed. For nearly $500 for two nights in the middle of the week, I was expecting a nice hotel but it is not great at all. The bathroom was dirty with pink and black mold when we checked in, and the shower is TINY...barely big enough for a petite person in the shower as it's roughly a 3x3 area. Since the shower curtain is several inches off the ground all the water from the shower spills into the bathroom. The sink faucet is leaking all over the counter. The carpet in the room was put in haphazardly so it's rolled and uneven and doesn't even meet up to the walls and there's a gross gap of dirt and dust between the carpet and wall. The "king bed" is actually more like a queen. There is no onsite parking unless you're paying $48/night valet. We took the elevator down to River Street and the elevator floor is carpet DUCT TAPED TOGETHER. Seriously?? Also the front desk has been taking notes on paper without verification, so it's very easy for someone to just say that they're in a room they're not and charge things elsewhere. Overall, save your money and stay somewhere actually nice.

There is no electric vehicle (EV) charging station in this hotel! I was shocked to that a hotel this big doesn’t have any facility for charging electric vehicles. Spoke with one of their managers last year. I guess they don’t think it’s important. Until they fix it, am going to another hotel with an understanding of changing times

We came to Savannah for two nights on a business trip. We got to the hotel at around 1:30 and were told our room wasn’t ready yet and we would receive a text when it was. The valet was a super friendly young lady. Very efficient. Perfect welcome to the hotel. Michael came and got our luggage and said he would have it ready when we got our room. He also was very friendly and professional. The lobby is very comfortable and there are multiple areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful river view. Good thing the view was great because we waited two hours to get our room. At one point Michael came over and verified the name on our reservation and went to check on it. Apparently the room we had been scheduled to get had been given to someone else. Ugh. I’m so thankful Michael was looking out for us. The silver lining was that due to our inconvenience they gave us a great room facing the river versus the atrium facing room we were supposed to have. Kudos to Michael for being so on top of things. Our room was well decorated and very comfortable. As someone that stays at a lot of hotels, this one was very nice. And the view was delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of the boats and ships. The location is fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very helpful and professional. However, my room was not the cleanest. When I first walked into my room, I could smell an odor of someone that previously stayed in my room. There where stains on the restroom door. The towels were raggedy and thin. The bed and pillows was not that comfortable. The HVAC system was in back corner or the room, I could barley feel any airflow at night. I had to turn it down to 63 degrees just to get my room cool. Overall I wish my room was more clean and wish I got better sleep.

This is definitely the place to stay if you are visiting Savannah. The valet that welcomed us, Nick, was so nice and took the extra few minutes to give us some recommendations. The rest of the valet staff was awesome as well—they always had our car ready when we asked, and everyone was very friendly. Shaquira at the front desk was also a gem, and made checking in a breeze. The hotel lobby was gorgeous and very clean, and the room had everything we needed. The city view ended up being great, since we had a corner room and could see both the river and the city! Housekeeping was probably the best I’ve ever seen—we couldn’t believe that our room looked brand new after being cleaned. Totally spotless, fresh towels and bedding. The location of the hotel is perfect, too! So convenient for stopping and dropping things off, or taking a break between activities. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!!

The beautiful bar and restaurant overlooking the river are gone...now you're relegated to a smaller area that overlooks just one side of River St if you sit outside. It's still a nice enough place but not what it once was. Now, it feels like a business center rather than a vacation spot. So it's great for work trips, I suppose, just not so much family trips anymore.

  • 5/5 Mike G. 7 months ago on Google
Had an amazing river view room with a Northside view of the river and an east side view of river street. Staff was friendly and always helpful. Great location with nearly everything in walking distance or a short walk to the CAT stop. A little noisy from the ferry boats, but that's a fair trade off with the amazing river view. There will also be some noise from the river street traffic that decides everyone else needs to hear their music, but that isn't the hotels' fault. Skip the breakfast buffet and eat at Goose Feathers instead. Overall, it was amazing stay and we'll definitely return on our next trip.

  • 5/5 Sean L. 6 months ago on Google
The location is superb! Location right on the river street and you just have to walk the stairs down. The rooms are big with nice view. The service is top notch and as for parking, If you do not want the valet parking, you can just park on the street using the Savannah parking meter. The breakfast was good and the roof top bar/restaurant is also amazing!!!

We visited for a convention, and the location was convenient by crossing the river with the ferry which was free and conveniently located in front of the hotel. Upon our arrival they gave us this little sheet stating that we get all these complementary things, however, we did not receive the complementary cocktail upon arrival. And when we visited the restaurant we were told which appetizer we were going to have.

We were very happy to have stayed at the Hyatt. We arrived later in the evening and Christian happily checked us in and even mentioned that he personally assigned our room and it was one of his favorites. We were absolutely blown away by the location on the corner overlooking River Street and the River itself. The bed and furniture was very comfortable and well updated with a large room. There were some maintenance things here and there, but nothing at all major or that impacted our stay. Housekeeping came every day to make the bed and bring fresh towels and the staff we encountered were always very friendly. The lobby was absolutely incredible and had comfortable furniture throughout, with a nice seating lounge on the river. The location was hard to beat since we could walk to most of the major areas in about 5 minutes and we were on river street. We were also impressed that the amenity fee actually included 2 free drinks at the bar each day, nice to actually get something for that fee. We will definitely stay again when we return to Savannah.

We utilized this property for a work retreat, and over 4 days we saw the staff in action. Housekeeping was excellent, with the only less than excellent item being that they didn't vacuum my room each day. Front desk staff at reception was attentive. Lobby was spacious and beautifully decorated. We also used a meeting room that was staffed by food service workers and hotel management, and this was an interesting situation because the first day we were there they took excellent care of us. The second and third days of meetings, our service was noticeably dropping off. Staff on the first day were well aware of our dietary restrictions in the group and were very detailed to make sure everything was correct. Not so in following days. The last day they basically disappeared after lunch, zero dessert options or drink refills, and we did not see hotel staff again until the end of the day. However, food was good and our drink station was properly maintained most of the time. Views from the meeting room were beautiful, overlooking the river. Overall this was a good experience and I would stay at another Hyatt for business travel.

I’ve stayed at several Hyatts, this is one of my favorite just because of the view. Definitely splurge if you can. I totally enjoyed my stay. My room was clean, with a refrigerator, coffee machine, no extra shampoos and conditioners 😏it was a wonderful view of overlooking the river. Nice to see the windows were clean also, to enjoy it. Hotel and customer service was great, to the valet, even though it’s steep $40 extra a day. 😬🤷🏻‍♀️ I personally would not have stayed there if I was placed in one of the middle rooms, which overlooks the reception/lobby/bar etc. but some people don’t mind that as It’s located in a great spot, an easy walk to everything, restaurants, bars and of course historical sites, monuments. I did have dinner and drinks one night at the hotel and they were OK, actually waiter & waitress was excellent. I’ll definitely stay here next time and refer my friends. The one star missing is due to the fact, breakfast was extra, really…

Rooms were updated. But, you can tell that it was done in a rush by the quality. Had a room on the river and got to watch the cargo ships go by, which was amazing. Rear exit on the main strip with the old paddle boat and ferry 100 ft away. I would highly recommend the Valley Service's 40 a night. Trust me, it's worth it. The main entrance has horse carriage rides. Rooms were expensive, but all around conveniently located

The property is in the heart of historic Savannah. When we first arrived, the attendant quickly grabbed our luggage and proceeded to carry them up to the room. He was kind enough to write a list of fun places for us to visit. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment within walking distance of the hotel. The staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful. Shout out to Tina who makes the best omelets that Savannah has to offer! I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency. I will certainly stay there again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel right on the River front. However, the parking situation is a nightmare, and because they have lack of parking they give you no other choice but to pay $40/night for Valet, because the only other option was parking three blocks over and lugging two suitcases, a child all the way to the hotel which wasn’t going to happen. The rooms are beautiful, but ours was kind of dirty. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom, splashed what I’m thinking is cleaner residue all over the bathroom door. For over $200 a night, you should have a clean bathroom. Would I stay here again? Yes. The location is great, the lobby of this hotel is by far one of the best I have seen, and lots of food options. But they need to be more transparent on the fees (deposit was $75), including the valet and lack of parking issue.

We only stayed for one night. All employees from the check-in valet, to the front desk, to the check-out valet seemed very dependable and helpful. Hotel common areas and room were clean and met our expectations for a comfortable stay. My only regret is that we forgot our own pillows. Firm pillow users be warned! Bring your own! The hotel pillows, though soft, do not offer much for sleeping support. This is a personal preference and has no effect on my rating. Also, at no fault of the hotel, there is a ton of construction going on across the river so if you’re looking for a beautiful and romantic view of the river, you’re not going to get exactly that. BUT you do have an unobstructed view of the river. The background is just not very pretty :). Again, at no fault of the hotel so it does not affect my rating.

Fantastic location. Convenient to all that you want to enjoy in Savannah but not in the middle of the bar scene so it offers a peaceful escape. Loved our room. The staff was overall very good, especially the cooks (love the one that created a smaller loaded grits serving!) Only challenge, housekeeping doesn't respect the, "do not disturb" sign nor do they understand what late checkout means. I would go back here over and over again.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We are already Hyatt loyalists, but this went above and beyond for us. First off, the location is perfect. We could walk to everything we wanted to see, we were close enough to River Street to see it all, and close enough to all the eateries and shops downtown. Perfect. But what really sent us over the edge was the customer service. We were in Savannah to celebrate my daughter turning the big 1-0 and Jason was a doll about it when we told him. He comped our parking for the entire trip. Not only that, when we got to the UPGRADED room, we found that there was a birthday cake waiting on us! There was also a card wishing our kiddo a happy birthday. Everyone that we saw wished her a happy birthday as well. Thank you, Hyatt. You really showed us all about southern hospitality!!!!

We booked a room online and arrived immediately after. We were greeted upon arrival by a valet driver and was informed where to park if we did not want Valet parking. (Which we did not, because we are on the go too much for that) Check-in was a breeze and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Once we got to our room we looked things over and even though the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, we were not going to complain. Unfortunately it couldn’t be avoided, we had to request towels and toilet paper almost immediately (there are four guest in our room and only two towels and one wash cloth.) Someone brought towels and they had black stripes and stains on them and still no wash cloths. We called the desk again and housekeeping manager was notified. He was extremely apologetic and offered to clean the bathroom himself, brought fresh towels and wash cloths and added a few other perks. I thought everything was great until, I turned down the bed and that’s when I noticed what appeared to be candy stuck between the sheets. We call the front desk again and they are quick to bring fresh linens, then I noticed we had no blanket. So, once again we call the front desk: At this point we are starting to get on our own nerves because we have called the front desk so many times. Not one time were any of the staff rude towards us nor did they make us feel uncomfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Great location, awesome staff (eager to please) and friendly atmosphere. I have stayed in cleaner, only never with nicer people. Southern hospitality at it’s finest 🙂 (two more days left of our stay, then on to the next adventure)
