As a woman who recently visited the Brühl's Terrace, I was utterly enchanted by the stunning views and elegant atmosphere it had to offer. Often referred to as the "Balcony of Europe," this beautifully designed terrace provides breathtaking panoramas of the Elbe River and the historic cityscape of Dresden. The meticulously landscaped gardens, ornate sculptures, and majestic architecture create a truly romantic setting, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a moment of quiet contemplation. It is no wonder that the Brühl's Terrace has become such an iconic symbol of the city's charm and resilience. I wholeheartedly recommend this delightful spot to anyone visiting Dresden, as it will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on all who experience its beauty.

Bruhl’s Terrace nicknamed the Balcony of Europe. The terrace stands above the River Elbe and was once part of the cities fortifications. Stairs were added from castle square and the area became a garden open to the public. Today, Bruhls Terrace is a promenade with views of the Elbe River and gorgeous Baroque architecture. This a great spot to relax and people watching.

Breathtaking scenery of the Elbe and the other side of Dresden-Alstadt. The chilling breeze make your heart go wild and calm at the same time. Lined by the Academy of Fine Arts of TU Dresden, this is a place to relax.

We were brought here after dark one weekday evening recently - by the city dungeon keeper! We were on a walking tour to discover the macabre side of this fascinating city. Anyway he brought us up onto the terrace and we had a chance to both gain a wonderful night time view of the river and to listen to the various medieval methods of effecting punishment of the villainous inhabitants of this fair city all those years ago. That evening it was quite busy and it is easy to understand why. The views are fantastic.

(Translated by Google) The backdrop of Dresden's old town has become very beautiful again. Many tourists don't know Dresden as it used to be. Something is constantly being modernized and restored. Even we as Dresden residents are constantly discovering new, beautiful corners of our state capital.

Brühl's Terrace, is a terraced walking area in the historic old town. It looks like a long balcony along the River Elbe that’s raised about 10 metres above the ground because the terrace was originally part of the city’s fortification. The terrace is a provide fantastic views of the river, especially the State Chancellery of Saxony and high enough to provide good views of the Katholische Hofkirche. There are some very fine buildings along the terrace too such as the Academy of Fine Arts. A fantastic place for photo ops.

You can take a nice walk there and enjoy the great view. Brühl's Terrace (German: Brühlsche Terrasse) is a historic architectural ensemble in Dresden, Germany. Nicknamed "The Balcony of Europe", the terrace stretches high above the shore of the river Elbe. Located north of the recently rebuilt Neumarkt Square and the Frauenkirche, is one of the favourite inner-city places of both locals and tourists for walking, people watching, and having a coffee.

A terrace that gives great views of the Elbe and the city of Dresden The terrace contains modern artworks, including some by David Cerny. The reconstructed buildings of Dresden can be seen from here, and it is well worth taking some time just to take in the surroundings here while visiting Dresden.

This point visually describes why Dresden is called Florence on the Elbe. From this point you get larger-than-life views of Dresden alt-stadt on the left side and a serene view of bridges on Elbe on the right side. This place also has an elevator for accessibility.

A peaceful and serene place to just sit and relax. Amazing views of the Elbe river and the Cruise Ships on the river. Sometimes we can spot people going up in hot air balloons. If I feel exhausted on any day, I just come here and sit... It's a mood elevating place..

I have less than 24 hours in Germany, so Dresden is my choice before going back to Czech Rep. As expected, the spots are beautiful and walkable, especially the terrace. Hard to believe they rebuild this place from scratch because of the bombings that took place in the war

This beautiful place stretches high above the bank of the river Elbe. You can go there for free, have a sit, and contemplate that amazing view from "the balcony of Europe". It is close to many other touristic points and the Neumarkt square.

When I looked at the description of this place in Internet, I liked it: A long path along the river bank on a hill above it with very beautiful views of a part of the city on the other side, to the river itself with ships floating on it, and with various beautiful historical architectural buildings on the other side (on the terrace). There are also several cafeterias and one very good restaurant, where my wife and I had dinner. This place is very beautiful and interesting for walking so I highly recommend visiting it just for walking, and if you plan to invite a girl on a date. I don’t know how it was about sunrise, I wasn’t at this time here, but the evening sunset looks good.

Interesting place where you can chill on the lawns, also good view from there to both side of city. How you can see on my photos there a lot of good place for hot shoot!

  • 4/5 Monty Z. 4 years ago on Google
Nice place to stroll around. Lots of construction going on, so that detracts from the view. Beautiful views of river and city. Worth a walk around to explore. Not a lot else to do, but fun enough.
