The Frauenkirche in Dresden is a beautiful church. This impressive building is very beautiful to look at from the outside and inside. We even had a guided tour with interesting information and backgrounds The city that suffered the most from the destruction of World War II, demonstrates the strength of reconstruction and its beauties!

(Translated by Google) A huge, beautiful temple on the Neumarkt square in the city center. The history of the reconstruction of this architectural monument, destroyed during the Second World War, is also interesting. The interior of the church with the altar is also impressive. A beautiful church with a history of reconstruction and reconciliation This church stands on the site of an older church, but was first made in its present form in 1743, where its distinctive dome became a symbol of the city, immortalised in paintings. The church itself was utterly destroyed during the bombings of Dresden in 1945, but has since been reconstructed after the fall of Communism. Part of the funds and labour for the reconstruction were provided by people from the UK, as a symbol of reconciliation between former enemies. The interior is reconstructed in Baroque form, but looks very new indeed. It is a poignant memory of war and the desire to rebuild what is destroyed.

Like all buildings from Dresden, this wonderful cathedral has been completely rebuilded and finished 60 years after the bombing from '45. The baroque style respect every details from the old cathedral and it looks gorgeous. Do not miss to get inside, it is overwhelming.

A unique, magnificent view of Dresden that takes the tiredness of climbing up individual steps and narrow corridors to that church. To be loved, to be admired. This baroque style church, which remained a war memorial for fifty years, fascinates with its magnificence.

A beautiful church located in the middle of Dresden's old city centre. It's a must-see when you visit Dresden. The church was heavily destroyed during World War II but has been beautifully reconstructed. Admission to the church is free of charge. The interior is also breathtaking.

One of the many spectacular buildings of Dresden. Destroyed during the Second World War bombing and built completely new. They did use those usable bricks from the ruins, so you can still see some black stones in the pillars. Unfortunately we could not go inside, although we visited two different days and time. But it looks majestic from the outside. The square is full with people, bier places, restaurants.

Majestic and beautiful - outside and inside. Even rebuilt after the combined forces of evil bombed Dresden 70 years ago, leading to its collapse. The view of the city from the top of the church is also worth it.

(Translated by Google) No matter from which perspective .. I love this place! Dresden's Frauenkirche is for me the most beautiful church in Germany. Not only outwardly, but above all because of its history and today's impact. Beautiful and simply unique! Simply in ♥ ️ with Dresden! Culture, art and churches - Saxony's state capital Dresden is a magnet for tourists. The Frauenkirche church pictured here was destroyed at the end of the Second World War and remains a ruin for decades. After German unification it was rebuilt using as much original material as possible. When it reopened in 2005, Dresden won back one of its famous landmarks. ☀️ "Blessed are the peacemakers" (Original) Egal aus welcher Perspektive.. ich liebe diesen Ort! The FrauenKirche is like a phoenix that has risen from the ashes. It’s a magnificent piece of history, and a good place to ponder the ills and blessings of this world. Long have I wanted to visit this church, and I was not disappointed! It sits on the square as a star on the top of Christmas tree, it is a beacon of hope and of life to look forward to.

Beautiful church to visit. Cost is free to go into the church. You can ascend to the dome for 10 euro. Well worth it. 70 meters high (221 ft) to viewing area. I counted 304 stairs descent with 300 meters of spiral climb (non steps)

What a marvelous church and rich history that comes with it. It was bombed and destroyed during WW2 by ally forces and left in ruin during the communist rules. Then, the church was rebuilt in 8the 1990s and stands firm as a witness of history. The lady staff holding an album of the historical photos near the front area was extremely helpful by explaining its history to visitors. Highly recommended!

The church looks stunning and it's worth your time. A lot of planning really went into the architecture; the design is detailed. You can light a candle and say a prayer before leaving. Beautiful church, in particular I liked the colors of the interior. For the price of 10 € it is possibole climb the dome with a great view of the city. The destruction of the war left it in rubble and was rebuilt only after the fall of the Berlin Wall and rededicated in 2005.

It’s a very beautiful church ⛪️. I recommend you to check at their page the hours they open because it’s not all the day like other churches. You can also climb to the top, the view is amazing specially in the sunset 🌅, but you must be ready to climb some meters. On your way you’ll find some comfortable sits, so no worries, you can take some good breaks. Also on your way you can see inside the church.

Go to the top! I was so scared that my knees were knocking. Well, that and the 281 stairs and 67m climb... but wow! It was worth it! A gorgeous view! And interesting windows inside and out on the way up. A great way to see Dresden from another perspective... both that it's high up and also the work that went into rebuilding the church after the war. It's 10€ to walk up, and worth every Pfennig.

Nicely reconstructed church. We had audio guides instead of a personal tour. The audio information last 45 minutes. There is nowhere to go other than a room for quiet prayers in the basement so you just sit there for 45 minutes listening to information. I personally was bored and most of my students also gave up on listening. You can climb to the top of the church but it costs €10 per adult.
