👍👍 Fantastic experience. Awesome view of hills and valleys on either side. There are food joints and washroom facility. Fantastic experience. Awesome view of hills and valleys on either side. There are food joints and washroom facility. If you are not a trekking guy, you will still enjoy the place as it's all well connected and doesn't require any effort to hike. You will enjoy as a tourist. If you are not a History freak and are going for experience, you might not find value in paying €2.5 for entry ticket. All the view outside the ticket area is the same. You get to see the bridge, cross it and enjoy the view of hills and valley.

Wonderful and breathtaking views, a must-see if you are in the area or go there. We took a private day tour from Prague and got here by car. The landscape is just amazing. I recommend you bring packed lunch, a drink, a flask of hot soup and just enjoy the incredible view. Highly recommend it

Definitely for mountain-view lovers! Parking was near by. Easy to access. It was quite crowded at main hours so i guess the best is to visit very early in the morning if it’s possible. There is a small cabin on the way which offers food and drinks.

This is really an amazing place to visit. Follow the map route from the tourist information and you would need to cross a ferry. This is roughly a 2.5 hour treck/walk time and have amazing view points.

Had pleasure to enjoy the views here yesterday ☺️ we were lucky to have beautiful, sunny autumn weather. The place was packed with people when we arrived around midday and the main parking was full, so I recommend taking the parking located 3km away, as it has ample space and regular bus running up and down to the bridge. Would definitely recommend to visit Bastion Bridge for the breathtaking views ☺️

This fabulous structure was definitely worth a couple of hours of our day. We paid for the optional access to the area behind the paid gate and this was very memorable for the desire and ability of people to create this fortress.

Bridge runs through the rock formation. Fantastic panoramic views from the Bastion Bridge into and over the Elbe Valley and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Nice view of the Elbe River. Worth a visit.

Stunning place! You can enjoy the walk on the bridge for free, but also you can buy a ticket for a few euros to go on other bridges on top of the rocks. It's a bit scary! But the views and experience are amazing!

Went here early in the morning around 8 and there’s just a few people. Better for taking photos as they will not block or photobomb you on your photos. The view is definitely wonderful, you’ll see the Elbe and the town below you. If you opt to go to the paid part of the park make sure you have cash as they do not accept cards.

We enjoyed this place. It was very natural and fun. It was a busy weekend for us here and the trails were pretty crowded. We hiked from the bottom then around the top and down the otherwise. Enjoyed it a lot. The ferry is very neat how it works. First time I have been on uncovered ferry.

The Basteibrücke is a world-class experience high up above the Elbe river. It's a vertigo-inducing bridge spanning across deep chasms between crumbling sandstone pillars of dizzying heights. There are pathways leading up to the bridge area, but they are steep and haphazard, and not recommended without good shoes or boots. If that's not your melody try to catch one of the local buses that stop nearby up on the ridge.

Most impressive if you are looking at it from further away, but the coolest thing is that there was an actual castle in the 'clouds' 🏰🌤️ it's worth taking the history walk 👌

Great views from all around. I'd recommend coming early to avoid the crowds. You only have to pay for the parking and a section that includes "ruins" of an us castle. It's cheap, but I didn't think it was worth it. On the other hand, the easy hike from the first parking lot to reach the other rock formation (across from the bridge) is a must do. If you don't hike often I would avoid continuing from there however. I hiked around, reaching the bridge from underneath and it was somewhat challenging with overgrown trails, no markings, unstable terrain, etc. It was fun, but not for everyone.

Well worth the trek! Can be done in 3-4 hours from Dresden, including climbing, descent, train & ferry. Bring cash for the ferry, it's only a few euro like four or six for a return ticket.

It was a wonderful natural park with stunning views. Just enjoy hiking and fresh air. It was raining in the day of our visit, but we had a great time. An Unforgettable day

What an amazing place to visit in Germany. I recommend it for sure. Walking from the ferry to the top takes around 25 min fast walking, or 40 min with breaks. But in general you will enjoy the nature and the view from above. I bought the ferry ticket for two trip, but I used it for one time, because when I went back to Dresden, I took the bus from above to pirna, and didn’t go back to the ferry down.

My recent trip to Saxon Switzerland was absolutely amazing! The Bastei Bridge is the star here, offering incredible views of mountains and the Elbe River. But that's not all! The tall rock formations look like ancient guards, and the mountains, sometimes covered in fluffy clouds, make it feel like a fairy tale. It's super impressive and peaceful. If you love nature or just want a beautiful escape, you've got to check out Saxon Switzerland. The Bastei Bridge, the mountains, and the dreamy clouds will leave you in awe. And don't forget your camera for those stunning pictures!

A fantastic place to visit, you can take the easy way and drive right up to it. Or you can take the more exciting way and hike up to it from various areas. The views from the various vantage points are absolutely amazing! You can even see the fortress off in the distance! Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area!!!

Beautiful place for a day hike , highly recommend during summer for the perfect view and sunny experience. Easy access by train and road. There are multiple hike routes, easy, medium and hard. Kids friendly and dogs friendly routes.

The bridge spans across a beautiful river and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The bridge is well-maintained and provides a safe and enjoyable walking experience. The local vendors selling souvenirs and snacks near the bridge add to the charm of the place. Overall, it was a delightful experience and I would highly recommend a visit to Basei Bridge to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway

Simple and nicely built mountains with amazing view and good hiking opportunities. Has an option of boat rowing or peddle boats with very less cost. Very popular spot for hiking. Contains good eating options!

Bastei in Germany . This stone bridge, towering high above the river Elbe canyon features unforgettable views of sandstone towers dotted all around. The uniqueness of this place makes it the most visited natural site in the whole of Germany. Some describe it as an other-wordly experience. You can’t miss it! Also it’s near to Bohemian Switzerland (Czechia) in one day you can cover both.

We saw this as part of Bohemia Tours day trip with an incredible guide (Michal). There's a lot to explore around the bridge and many view points for pictures. You get to cross the bridge!

Great place the higher you go the more beautiful it gets. At the top, you can take a break and have a bite to eat or a full trip to the restaurant, which I recommend making a reservation to book a window seat and enjoy your meal with a beautiful view. From the trails, I recommend taking the standard route to the bridge, and wear comfortable shoes, since the rise is quite large and has many steps

Small parking with high price (€5 for 3 hours, you can’t pay less). You can’t pay via NFC or Apple Pay - be sure to bring cash or plastic card. Toilets are also paid and you have to bring €0.70 with you. What is it, year 2015? But apart from the poor service the place is really great to visit. Beautiful views!

Very popular place. When you planning visit Bastei bridge go early as possible. I was there before 9 am. Nearest parking area was half empty. When i was leaving 12am. parking area was already full. Bastei itself isnt something special. Nice bridge, but views are great. Arriving early, you have a time to enjoy views, take pics. There is restaurant souvenir shops. You can take time and make little or longer hike. I was hiking on Swedenlöcher trail. Nice views.

One of the beautiful place in Germany near Dresden. Very attractive place for hiking. Bastion bridge is also beautiful place. You will get some coolest view of beautiful nature where river and mountains meets each other. Highly recommend place in Germany.

Really beautiful. Best route from Dresden to reach the bridge is to take S-bahn till Rathen, take ferry to cross the river, you can see direction boards throughout. It’s just walkable distance from there.

If in the area, this is a must see sight. The walk up to the bridge can be tiring for older folks, but after we’ve climbed up the long steps, we found out that there’s a hotel up there and you can actually drive up to the bridge. The views along the trail were interesting and beautiful. The bridge itself was pretty epic considering how people had to do back then to protect themselves.

Fantastic place to visit. Beautiful natural rock formations abound. Definitely worth a visit.

Incredible views! Navigating there may be a little challenging, but what worked for me was taking the train from Dresden to Kurort Rathen. It's a small town, walk through it to a ferry, cross the river, then follow signs to hike up the trail. The views were worth it :)

It’s a 45min hike from the ferry terminal with steep incline in certain areas but the spectacular views from the top makes it worth it. Do drop by this place if you’re near Dresden!
