I normally have a great time at spades but there has been a new face there. Young lady with long black weave/wig. I went there yesterday with a friend who has cancer and she was rude the whole time while serving us and normally the bartenders are amazing, customers service is great everything but NOT yesterday. I just felt so disrespected and I really do regret even going there yesterday and probably won't be going back for awhile. Her attitude has completely turned me off.

As a guy, you will have a female security staff touch your private part in the same of a searching you before you enter when there are other male security staff available. The supervisor lacks empathy, understanding and the temp aren’t for running a service business.

Restaurant is huge and the vibes are always good. You can’t get better jerk chicken for the price as their Lunch Special Jerk comes out to like 10 bucks. Their hot sauce is also delicious, super underrated spot in scarborough.

This place is inviting, open and clean. Had the jerk chicken lunch special. The portion is very generous and delicious. You should give it a try.

Special mixed fried rice with chicken on top. Fantastic. Oh and the mussels are amazing. If the music is playing, it's loud but when they got the hip hop playing it's all good.

Barbs breakfast was delicious. I celebrate my mom 94th birthday for the first at the restaurant.

So last night would of been the first time I would of ate in and or taken out, but it didn’t happen. My cousins friend reserved spots for 15 of us for a birthday. Her friend went early to set up, notified them that she was going to pick up my cousin and come back. When we all went in, the decorations was taken down and where we were suppose to sit was not there anymore. It turned everyone away from here and ruined everyone’s night. I will never come back here. Whoever was cashing people out has no manners, she had a screw face the whole time we were there. Very unprofessional on your guys part.

Went in for the first time today as the lunch special sign outside caught my eye. Ordered the Jerk chicken with rice & to my surprise it came with coleslaw. Absolutely delicious! Will be back for more

*BE PREPARED* With 2 tables 4 persons in all there is no way I should have waited 50 minute for chicken wings which was supposed to be appetizers. When inquired I was told there were lots of orders ahead of me Uber skip the dish and catering NOT ACCEPTABLE

Horrible drinks and bad service. Went to Hustlers Brunch and it was a joke. Tropical desires served disgusting cocktails. The staff at Spades and the tropical desires owner are terrible. Very dirty spot. Extremely boring and overpriced "party". Won't be frequenting this spot again or any spot that hosts Tropical Desires parties.

Surprised the place was empty on Friday at 8pm . Place was clean and very open concept.. we order deep fry chicken and shrimp wonton . It was pretty nice with its spicy hot sauce . Will come back to try its lunch special ..

Alot of sketchy characters, would not bring kids to eat here even during day time. Food has progressively gotten worse since pandemic. Before was really good. Rice seems microwaved and dry, my white wine was room temp. 😔 Escovich was dry as well, like it was overheated. Needless to say will not go back. The service for the most part is ok, nice waitress .

This place was such a vibe. The place is really nice and spacious. Staff is polite and friendly. They host so many great events every month. Was a part of one such event hosted by R Flavours Events. Ordered drinks and they came out just amazing. Keep up the good work Everyone there and best of luck.

My wife and I went for a late lunch and when we are in Scarborough it's all about the Jamaican food. We ordered a chicken roti and the jerk chicken dinner. Both were delicious!!.

The food is tasty but management is disorganized and staff needs better guidance. We hosted an event there recently and we were sorely disappointed. I won't recommend this place to anyone else for a booking. The standard of service has dropped, substantially. Great physical space for a dinner party but insufficient resources & too much bad communication among management & staff.

Food is amazing. The triple cuisine fusion I never knew I needed; Chinese, South Asian, and Caribbean. To keep that triple theme going, my go to order consists of land, sea, and air, a dish known as their Mixed fried rice with chicken on top, and it is my go to. The chicken has this crispyish skin, the shrimp is tasty with good texture and then you get your strips of beef. It's a meat lovers paradise coddled up with delicious fried rice and little veggies to make it an enclusive plate. This dish could feed 2 for under $20 but I'm not sharing. Only reason it's not a 5 star... I go during lunch so the entertainment portion of this place throws me off a bit bc it's usually empty... There's a lot of space, bar rail, dining tables, open floor area and a pool table. I wonder does it get popping at night?

Went to spade bar and lounge and ordered $70 worth of food and i was missing my rice , my order was made wrong. There was no sense of care for the way the food was packaged or made. Cashier made it clear that hot sauce was an extra charge and did not make sure that everything was correct and all there.

Just had a paint night event there and it was amazing. Had so much fun!!

Certified customer service. Chief food is amazing, server professional everything went as planned. The atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable. Went with my wife and friends, the music was good, clean and organized place, friendly staff. I ordered sweet chili wings Couldn't stop eating them had to order one for the road. This place is highly recommended.

Last time I ordered the service was OK food pretty good . Today wow so disappointed. Did not follow any instructions I sent . And the oxtail had a funny taste and the rice and closlaw was very bland and was mostly all bones no meat . The wings were under cooked but a nice hot sauce. The salt fish fritters were great like usual. But I was really disappointed with the star dishs . The festival is great but sadly they forgot my oxtail gravy to dip it in bit I guess with the strange flavor of the oxtail it was a good thing . Please try and be more attentive to instructions.

I wanted to try their chicken fried rice and it was delicious. It was a bit different flavours than what I guess I am used to having other places, and I have had some place a bit better but non the less it was very good and I'll go back to try there wings and jerk chicken next. It was about $13 so since inflation thise are the orices you will see around nowadays! There pepper sauce is not bad also and good friendly service. Go try it

Amazing food. Got the jerk chicken dinner with coleslaw and rice and beans. Got extra jerk sauce which is a must! Also got the chili shrimp. Best carribean food I’ve had in awhile!

Good food and good music to dance to. They got dance floor outside. I guess they would have dance floor inside as well. Nice place to go to.

Good place to hangout and dance with friends. They customise the drinks based on customer choice. Would be better if there are more staff during peek hour to attend more customers.

I came in with my mom to try some roti and it was a very good experience. We picked up and did not sit in the restaurant. Others where sitting and it looked very well organized. I thought the goat roti was great. I was convinced to try the codfish fritters by the employee who served us. They where very good. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend! Thanks!

Worst customer service ever walk in and seated myself and waited 15 minutes before approach by a waitress it was not busy only 2 other tables were occupied. Order a pina colada and was given a glass full of ice and was told it took long because she made it with her hand and not a blender. Ordered a appetizer and was given it with my main course after waiting for an hour. Was served my food in a take out container even thou I was dining in. The appetizers was the size of the main course. Overall the restaurant is nice big and spacious the music was relaxing. The staff needs training

Food is great, not a busy spot now. But usually close to mall and shopping areas. Drop in for a beer. Something to eat.

10/10 oxtail with rice and peas. The oxtail was tender and skillfully prepared, so delicious with aromatic gravy. Also liked the hot sauce it came with on the side, added a nice heat. Definitely recommend trying this dish here.

I ordered ubereats and that is how I discovered this hidden gem. 4 stars because there was no sauce on the rice and I was not offered any (I was too hungry to remember to ask / I would have paid extra because sauce on rice is life), also they did not have fries for the poutine but they did sub wedges for me (which I really appreciate but the fries they used before was AMAZING). This is CUISINE people. Cheese curds actually melted, gravy was divine, jerk pork was really cuts of the fatty pork so tender and fall apart-y, rice and peas was delicious but again needed sauce, coleslaw was interesting because it was not the traditional creamy coleslaw but a crunchy kind with a tangy but not over powering vinaigrette. Chicken wings were bleh nothing special. But the shining star is definitely the Cod Fritters. $6 for 6 pieces, you can't go wrong. If you order anything, it's these cod fritters. Point blank periodT. It is accompanied by a house made spicy mayo that will rival any spicy mayo. Some minor improvements but other than that, I am super happy and will always be back.

Was stuck between 2 dinner choices, was recommended the chow mein. The chicken.... So so so tender and flavourful. If I'm ever up in that area again I'd definitely be stopping by to order dinner here

My 1st time eating here( takeout) really good. Great value for the money. Good sized portions. Called ahead 15 mins and it was ready for me piping hot. Will be back!

They really need to work on their bartenders, working the crowd better and more consistency with serving their patrons in a timely manner. Aside from that, music is always great and the vibes are bless. When you venture to a chill spot, its great to keep the same company.

I was very enthusiastic about this place, the reviews are wonderful…but I ordered dinner last night from here and I must say, it was not good. The oxtail was very salty and swimming in a pool of grease and gravy mixed with rice and cole slaw juice, eww. And the plantains were very very dry and bitter. Far from the taste of plantains I know. All in all, I won’t try it again.
