My wife and I went to Mandarin Restaurant to celebrate my birthday and it was such an amazing experience! We tried the buffet dinner and were really impressed with the wide variety of food to choose from. Our servers, Masumi and Jenny, were very pleasant and provided exceptional customer service.

This is my favourite restaurant in the whole world. There are so many options for food to choose from. It is a bit pricey at dinner so I recommend going at lunch. Try the sushi bar!

Always a pleasant experience whether or not it is to dine in with their fabulous buffet or recently take out their staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Their employee Kyla took my take out order today and she did very well when handling specific requests and special instructions with our order. And was very friendly on the phone. As was their delivery driver who dropped off our food. He was even earlier than expected which was great. They also do a great job organizing and packing their take out food. No complaints. I would recommend anyone to eat here or call them for take out.

Food is great and staff are amazing. There isn’t one thing that didn’t taste good and my kids and I all had different things.

Service and food were top notch. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped inside until we left. Waitress was super friendly and our water cup was never half empty. The diverse varieties of food covered everyone in our family. We enjoyed everything. Must try!

First time back to any mandarin after the pandemic originally began in 2020. This was a much smaller location than other mandarins I've been to. Not as much options as food as their are in bigger locations. But the price was also less due to this fact. Also found out they only do dine in on Thursday. Friday Saturday. So if your going to this location. Call and ask if they have availability. I love the fact that they do insist in mask while getting food and for you to wear plastic gloves everytime you enter the buffet area. Fun experience. Server was super friendly. And talkative. They even let us use $70 mandarin bucks coupons we had. But I also tipped nicely as well. Ontop. I hope they can pick up business to allow more food choices. Like other locations and expand the buffet a bit. Overall great first time back to mandarin.

Our extended family has dined there since they opened. Excellent staff and service. Food is always fresh and delicious.

Come here alot for family reunions and celebrations. Very well managed and the staff is amazing. 10/10 all around. Their COVID protective measures are great. Complete with temperature readings, complimentary gloves (when going up for food), and sanitization stations. Very impressed. Additional Free Advice: Wear stretchy pants.

This restaurant is simply awesome. Recently, we celebrated our daughter's sweet sixteen birthday party here. Dana and her team were amazing. They provided very warm and welcoming service to all my guests. The food was excellent. The all-you-can- eat buffet had a great selection of items, including appetizers, main dishes, and desserts. They allowed put up our own decorations and use our sound system. All our guests were very pleased. A great place to celebrate a special day or throw a party.

It’s a huge and big restaurant with lots and lots of various cuisines 😍 Chicken, Fish, Beef, name it & you would get it. The best and most I had was are in the “pictures”😍😍 Just an advice, I like spicy, but here it’s little sweet

The manager, Ms Dan is so accommodating. I really appreciate her and all the staff. Our event was successful because of them.

This Mandarin location has big area for parking, just need to register the plate number at the machine by the entrance. Price is okay with the selections of food from soup to salad, fried, sushi and roast beef, lots of pastries and finger foods too. Dessert are cakes, fruits and ice cream that you can scoop yourself. The place is kinda dated but it's its ok, not so crowded when we visit.

This is a generous 3-star review. The service is welcoming and quick. The food was okay and hit the spot, but it was greasy and very Americanized. The restaurant is kinda falling apart and needs some reno love. The chairs are old, tattered and wobbly. The place is crowded and people were kinda obnoxious, pushy and extremely loud. We went here on a whim, but woke be back

Came here for a nice holiday lunch with family. Promptly seated with no wait time (surprising for a holiday). Service was good. Food was decent with a nice variety of dishes. Especially enjoyed the teriyaki-glazed salmon and salt & pepper fried shrimp. Also, the beautiful decor inside is a nice bonus. Overall, had a great time!

Usually our go to buffet around Scarborough. They have good selection of food and the food is quite decent. The service is always amazing. The pricing is decent as well. The place is nicely decorated and is good for a night out with family and friends. They food selection includes Chinese cuisine, starters with multiple salad and soup options, sushi, bbq and pizza sections and to end it off a lot of dessert choices including puddings, cakes, pies, ice cream, waffles and lot more. Definitely worth the money and would recommend.

There were a lot of different food choices as expected at a Mandarin buffet. Wished there were ice cream cones for a soft serve dispenser machine. The desserts were too sweet with a load of sugar. Didnt taste that fresh but it was okay for a treat. The server for our table was coming by to clear our plates as our table was small and crowded for the 4 of us dining. I didnt like how they dont distance the tables more from other diners beside us. We were welcomed by many staff at the entrance door. It felt like they needed to have so many staff people to watch where customers were going at all times as if we were doing something wrong. I am not used to seeing so many people greeting at restaurants. Parking was free that evening with the special ticket given by the gate keeper. Otherwise I think people had to pay by entering codes on the parking machine at the door. I haven't dined at this location so i didnt know ahead of time before this visit. The one thing that I thought was really good was the female washroom attendent was cleaning very frequent. She was wiping the counter as it got wet and checking the paper towel dispenser. She went above and beyond to make sure that my baby was able to wash his hands without getting his shirt all wet at the sink. She provided us with clean paper towels to dry our hands. She must be a mother herself because she cared for us like family. I wish i had asked for her name to acknowledge and thank her more.

Mandarin has been around since the early 80’s. They started in Brampton and now have 29 locations in Ontario. It’s mainly Chinese cuisine but they have incorporated Japanese cuisine into their menu a couple decades ago. I remembered they used to offer free buffet meals during Canada Day celebrations. The line must have been crazy long. The Moon Festival started in mid September and will end in over a month. They used to give miniature souvenir lanterns. They don’t do that anymore. At this location, the parking is free for their guests. We went during the weekend and didn’t encounter any issues. The restaurant decor remained the same so it brought back lots of memories. There are several rooms or partitions that can be booked for any occasion or celebration. If your birthday is coming up, you can subscribed to their newsletter ahead of time, and get an invitational coupon. Your meal is free with 3 accompanying paid adults. At the time of visit there were a lot of Birthdays. The price is comparable to competing any AYCE restaurants. They have a salad bar with shrimp cocktail, soups bar, breads section, grilled / BBQ area included grilled corn, dumplings, sushi section, main dish like baked salmon and stir fried mussels, ice cream bar, dessert table including mooncakes, self serve soft ice cream, fresh fruits, cotton candy and the list goes on. I like they give you a wet nap when you first sit down at the table and greet you on the way out with mint candies and cotton candy. The servers are hard working as they constantly take away all your used plates from the table and filling up your glass with cold water. My impression is good overall just like I remembered. Crème brûlée, cappuccino ice cream and spinach with garlic are delicious. The fruits cake with icing I tried was disappointing dry. The washrooms are clean though.

Went to the Mandarin restaurant. Once inside was the all-you-can-eat buffet. Had many servings that could take. Great variety of foods from lemon chicken to plenty of sushi, ice cream pies, etc. Definitely would come back there again. Couldn't get enough of it. Mama mia 😍😋

Its ok. Im expecting more chinese food like dimsum. Noodles. Siomai, chicken feet. Etc. But all i see is full variant of international food like pizza and common asian meals

I had a reservation for 5pm, right when they open for dinner. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Washrooms were clean. Buffet is rather small in size, but the quality and assortment of the food is great. Overall a great meal. That being said, the dining room could use a deep clean. Dust is just layered on the fake plants strewn around the room.

Our server Jo-Jo was very friendly and helpful. She recommended us to sign up for coupons and future savings from Mandarin dish. She made my mom's birthday very special and even took group photos for us. I also work for the restaurant business and I would rate her service as Excellent as she went above and beyond our expectations.

(28/05/2023): I have been going to this location for over 10 years and it's nice to know that it's as charming as it was when I was a child. Admittedly it's apparent that the building has seen better days, with the sign out front not in the best condition and the interior having seen better days. The plates similarly have been scrubbed of some of their veneer after years of use, but they get the job done. Despite the aging infrastructure, I enjoyed brunch here on Sunday. The decor is ornate and beautifully themed, with a lot to take in for first-time goers. The servers were prompt, polite, and considerate - frequently refilling drinks, taking away plates, and checking up on patrons. We were thankfully seated promptly without a reservation for a table of 8, but I would recommend coming earlier to secure seats on a peak time like Sunday brunch. While the food options aren't as expansive as other locations, it still has plenty of Mandarin staples - my personal favourites being their butter tarts and fried rice (though my sister noted that the corn to rice ratio in the aforementioned fried rice has become much greater than from what we recalled in our last visit). There are plenty of kid-friendly and picky-eater-friendly options, including pizza, fries and the like for kids (and people) less inclined to eat Chinese-inspired cuisine. Overall, it was a nostalgic romp and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It would be nice to see some renovations and newer amenities, but I enjoyed my timer there irregardless. Good to attend for large groups and families, as there's something for everyone.

Not bad, not good. The food is slightly above food court Chinese and well below authentic. The servers were all very polite, but the waste of plastic with the protocols is quite excessive. You will defined leave full, but disappointed it cost $40 to do so.

I was there once... 2 years ago... For lunch with 2 co-workers... But we had a good time, the food was good and the restaurant was clean.

An honest review. The place is extreme clean, the staff are wonderful. The food was not good at all. The meats were tasteless, as if they had not condiment them, not even salt. The desert, the pudding, tasteless. The sushi, no flavour. I had not frequent since a while, the food was a let down, and for the price of $34.99, don’t think I will be back.

Very different set up, but they have adjusted well to the COVID-19 situation. The food was good. The servers were friendly.
