This restaurant has been a staple in my life since I was a child. I have vivid memories of my mom taking me with her to pick up Roti Skin, Doubles and Pholourie. Everytime, it's always good. Today I picked up a Chicken Roti, Doubles and some Pholourie and it was so good. You can't go wrong with this place.

Very clean take-out restaurant. Staff members are very friendly, polite, professional & hardworking. Quality of food is great but the portions are way too small for the prices that they charge. For example, their Doubles used to be 50% larger than what they currently are. Always a long lineup & long wait. They surely can afford to hire a couple more staff members if they really care about efficient customer service.

Hands down, one of my favorite roti shops in Scarborough and probably all of Toronto. I used to live in the neighborhood and walk to the shop as a kid. I drive over 50km to get Mona's and it's worth it! Amazing service and the food tastes like home! Try my favorite roti combination of Jerk Chicken and Pumpkin always with pepper sauce 🥰✨.

We ordered take-out from Mona’s Roti a couple of months ago, after hearing good recommendations and reading good reviews. In our experience, the food was good but, it certainly didn’t live up to the expectations. The Roti wraps were substantial but, the fillings weren’t as tasty and the meat to veggie ratio was a little disappointing. However, we tried one of the Jerk Leg sides and, that was much better.

It had been 10 yrs since my last visit to monas when i found myself back home in scarborough. I was amazed that the food had not changed an inch. Had the vegetable dalpuri and a side of curry chicken. The channa bagee and pumpkin was fresh and tasty. The curry chicken was the star. Made me feel my granny cooked it from the grave. Chicken was juicy flavourful and amazing dip for the roti. Will always be back the moment i land in Toronto

Visited my family for the first time since the pandemic. First place I headed to for good home type food was to Mona’s. Got chicken roti and a couple doubles, wanted aloo pie but didn’t have any. Food is always good and never disappoint. The only gripe I had was the roti felt smaller so it seems like the curry chicken and potato’s are portion out . Definitely will get another before I head back to the States.

This place is very well known for their rotis. Heard they're the best in Scarborough and I was excited to try their food. When I got there, it looked promising because it was packed and you can see the ladies making the rotis and everything looks fresh and delicious. But being titled the best has to come with consistency and maybe I was there on a bad day but I won't be back. I ordered doubles and pumpkin and a parantha. The doubles were bad...the Bara was very yellow and thick and I'm not sure how it's made but it wasn't good. The Channa was pretty dry and it was plain. We specifically requested only tamarind on one and the other with everything. They gave both plain and nothing on the side. The Channa had no flavour to it. I requested pepper sauce on the side and even the pepper sauce is just ok. I'm comparing this to my experiences trying doubles around Toronto this summer. Mona's doubles let me down. I was told their roti is better but I wouldn't be back to try it. The pumpkin was pretty good and the parantha was good too. The highlight was trying their peanut punch...delicious and well worth it. Takes so long to get your order even if you call to order for pickup, they got the order wrong and it didn't taste good.

Mona has developed an amazing and efficient ordering system. Not a place to sit in and eat, you can place your order to-go for some delicious roti. I had the goat roti and doubles: Amazing fare - well worth the trip!

First time at Mona’s Roti. The staff are friendly and helped us figure out what to order. Upon walking in, a staff member came up to us to take our order on an iPad, offer suggestions and answer questions. Quick and painless process. We ordered: $14.80 Goat Rice Meal, Rice and Peas, Potato, Pepper Sauce On Side ($0.30)- so good. The meat is tender and not too gamey. The rice is delish. The hot pepper sauce is excellent. $13.30 Chicken Boneless Roti, DAHLPURI WRAPPED, Potato, Pepper Sauce On Side ($0.30)- chicken is kinda dry. Wish there was more sauce. The Roti has good texture and is tasty but the combination didn’t quite hit the mark. It is more dry and bland than I would like. Service is super fast and efficient. Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes.

The food is tasty but I waited more than 1/2 hr to get my order. The woman at the cash continuously went to dish out food because there seemed to be much confusion with the orders. she Never washed her hands and should have since she's handling cash. orders were sitting at the cash waiting for her to process and that caused further delay.

The jerk chicken with rice and pumpkin was delicious and cooked very well. The rice has the right amount of spice and portions were quite filling

Good system, good food! Doubles are strong (not best I’ve had locally) and realizing I’m not a big fan of Dahlpuri on the side. Ox tail was well made! Really like that I got to pick vegetable when ordering online. Will be back.

FINALLY got off work early enough to fetch some Mona's at 6pm for dinner this past Friday. It's been a year since we've had and I was STOKED to get two doubles with our meal but the lady told us they had run out so I paid and waited for the rest of my food. Shortly after, a gentleman behind me asked for doubles but instead of being told no, the lady in the kitchen said she could give him three. After that, another man made a hand gesture of what looked like a '6' to the lady in the kitchen and she nodded she could make some for him as well. After observing this, I asked if there happened to be two extra doubles around but again I was told no. Although I'm a huge fan of the food, I was incredibly disappointed with how unjust this service was at Mona's.

Great place!! The food was delicious!! I haven't had such amazing food Roti, Pholourie and doubles outside of Trinidad and Brooklyn. A real amazing little spot in Scarborough!! Definitely a place to try out.

The Veg Medley Roti Wrap is knee-weakening good! And I'm no vegetarian. Spinach, pumpkin, and channa combo provides a strong flavorful punch and the dhalpuri skin is the fluffiest I've had. The only thing holding it back is its small size. Four bites and I was done. Increase the size or give us a 2/$15 option. Skip the Fahmee pattie. Too much shell and too little filling. Mine was a bit stale tasting. For lunch, get there early for quickest service. Any time past 11:30 am and you're hit with a 20-min wait minimum.

The curry goat and rice is a winner. We know the roti is 10/10 but the rice and peas is no slouch. The beans are sizeable and the rice has a good mush feel. Also, they don't charge extra for beans like that other roti place. The goat meat is cut up to small pieces which gives it a nice chew. The curry sauce is just about perfect. The friendly, fast "ipad" service is also above standard. The turnaround time of around 5-10 minutes on my trip easily outpaces competing roti spots in the area. I can see why this is the "go to" spot for many people in the area.

13 dollars for a duck roti , with shredded duck and a pile of bones , never will I make this mistake again.

Roti is so fluffy and delicious. Portions are on point. If you want a good roti in Scarborough and don't want to be disappointed, go here! They have lots of treats from back home. They have the coolest food line where you can see what your getting everytime.

April 2021: 3.5★ Unexpectedly in this plaza you'll find several food establishments including Mona's Roti. This place primarily does take out. The roti itself is decent. Very flaky. The boneless curry chicken is good, but I can't say it's amazing. There's certainly a good curry flavor, but find that the curry is a little milder and not intense. Not bad, but the portions are a bit smaller. Roti sizes are ok.

I ordered ahead since I was told by a friend the place typically has long lineups, pickup was quick and easy! A lovely young lady met me at the takeout section with the order. Jerk chicken was amazing! Will be coming back

Delish and always good

I was missing the food I had in Trinidad, so I stopped by this joint and satisfied my craving with some delicious goat curry roti (boneless) and doubles. Hands down my go-to for roti now.

This place is amazing. Must have the doubles. Rotis are also amazing.

Love them…but the wait is sometimes yikes. Highly recommend. Most of the time we just order the roti skins and make our own curry. Their snacks are good too if fresh.

Doubles were great! Both the bread and the filling tasted fresh. Chickpea filling was flavourful, though I wish it was a tiny bit spicier. If you’re looking for doubles I would highly suggest Mona’s Roti. Purchased a dozen doubles for $33

Very very delicious curry chicken roti. Bit of a slow service for a Wednesday early afternoon but I guess the wait paid off. People lined up to outside the door for a reason. Fair prices and turn around of the food trays was non stop so you know it was fresh.

The roti was a bit dry. The goat was very lean for my taste.

The food is great and I have no complaints about the restaurant. The only complaint I have is that the restaurant closes way too early….. 7 o’clock. It’s dinner time and half the time I want to have roti and I can’t have it because they closed by 7pm wayyyy to early this is more lunch place than anything else. The hours are not good.

Been there several times. Roti was cold. Food was overpriced for the portions. It's a takeout restaurant, probably won't go there again. So many place I can go have a sit down meal that won't cost as much. Not a very friendly environment. Always feel rushed when giving my order.

Slightly disappointed compared to expectations. The texture of the roti is average, not firm enough, and even a bit crumbly. After a few bites, the fillings inside the roti start falling apart. However, the sauce of the butter chicken is still very good, and the most surprising is their potato selection and texture. Additionally, a friendly tip: their drinks are unique, but they contain a very high amount of sugar! Choose carefully!

Traditional and delicious spot for local Caribbean food. Their roti is made in store and always fresh. I wish they had a seating for dine-in. But their huge portions are still ok for take out.

Had the chance to finally try this place. The whole operation inside is great, everyone is busy in their roles to ensure everything is fresh. The doubles was my favorite. The rice boxes can be a bit try. Definitely will ask for extra gravy. Expect to lineup for a while when you visit as it is a strictly takeout place.

I've heard of the long lineup daily at this place but when I went at 11:30, I was the second person served while 3 others were already waiting for their food. So the wait wasn't very long and the staff I had contact with were pleasant. I've wanted to try their roti for the longest time so I finally came in. YES! The boneless roti with potatoes was amazing! Not oily and not falling apart. My mom will love this place. She's getting a roti when I visit her tomorrow! I'll try their doubles then. 😁 #Yummy

They got Indians from the mother land working here now. Hopefully they can expand the menu to include more Indian items cause you can't have just roti and curry and call yourself Indian.

Their quality used to be better before the store got larger. The dhalpouri needs some serious geera. Overall they are awesome in customer service and quality. So far they're a 4 star or 80%. Add the geera and I'll give u all 100%

Love their roti and they have the best roti skins if you want to make your own curry. Also love the pholourie. I haven't tried everything, but everything I've tried has been excellent. Only downside is there are often lineups, but they have online ordering now that looks pretty fast to pickup. I recommend them highly!

They offer an awesome variety of delicious food. I liked dining here. The employees are always friendly, rates are reasonable and the spot is always neat.

Fast and friendly service. Inside area makes it hard to socially distance so order through their website and skip the line. Roti was amazing and had the right amount of spice.

Yesterday was the first time we went to this excellent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We had great time with the good service, with the superb meal and fine drinks and with the friendly price. We will no doubt visit there again.

This place gives excellent service as well as delicious menu. My favourite spot in the city. The drinks and food came out fast and the prices were economical. Will definitely recommend this place.

Order ahead to avoid the wait. Got there on a weekday at around 3pm thinking it would not be busy. Huge line up outside the store and service was not the quickest which is understandable because of the amount of orders they receive. Staff was nice and kept the line outside the store updated on wait times. They had a girl take our order on a iPad in the line inside the store. Got the Boneless Curry chicken in a dahlpuri. Perfect amount of chicken and potatoes. I just wish it was more saucy with more curry.

This site is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. everytime I want to go to a good lunch, this restaurant comes straightaway to my mind. good and diverse food and a large list of dishes.well mannered staff members, and agreeable spirit. Not less important, the charge is modest. I suggest this restaurant with great pleasure.

The line was fairly log when I got there but it moved very quickly. Food was hot and delicious. Service was really good and they were very organized. Can't wait to go back.
