I live about 45 minutes away from this place as a burger lover I was told about this place many many times. Finally today my friend and I adventured to Scarborough to try the hype at The Real McCoy and their famous mojo Burger. This establishment is your typical old school takeout restaurant. The staff could have smiled a little more but in this pandemic I understand everyone's stressed. The burger was absolutely fantastic. Good Bread good beef. Probably one of my top five burgers in the Toronto area. The pizza to no surprise was very good as well I was very impressed that you could get a good burger and a good cheese pizza in one place. Definitely worth the try.

The best fries, burgers, steak sandwiches, and onion rings you can get these days. I usually get a steak sandwich and put one of their amazing crunchy onion rings on top of it with steak sauce. DELICIOUS and hits the spot every single time. I love how everything is made fresh and it is the perfect meal if you’re craving some good food. Highly recommend you go in and order a bite to eat!

Great char grilled burgers. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Staff are also extremely friendly. I had the mojo burger fully loaded and it was a great meal.

So much hype and great reviews I had to check it out myself. Well, the House Hamburger didn't disappoint (even though I did get a bone chip,) the flavour was good, it was huge and delicious. HOWEVER, the onion rings,(also hyped up by good reviews) were so disappointing. Wayyyy too doughey, undercooked and GREASY. I ate most of one and immediately got a stomach ache. Boo. But the burger was killer. Just FYI the place is Crazy busy. Wait times vary but I waited 18 minutes for my order. Next time I'm sticking to burger only. Cash and Debit only. Step up/no wheelchair ramp.

I have had the pleasure of eating the Real McCoy pizza since I was 8 years old. Their classic cheese and pepperoni pizza are one of my favourite pizzas. Their fries are so good as well as their burgers! The taste has not changed since I have been a kid in the 90s and that is what I like about the restaurant! George is so nice as well. I don’t know how he works during busy times. He’s magic!

A staple in Scarborough for 50 years. This family owned business has positively impacted the Brimorton community by always giving back. The quality of food is rich & costs modest. The establishment aesthetically is like a "Back to The Future" theme which is cool! I'm saddened that Dec 23, 2022 is last day open at this location. Hopefully it's not the final goodbye 🥲

These guys make food like I remember when I was a kids. Not much has changed here for a long time and that’s a good thing. They make two styles of burgers but the home burgers are made with their own beef and are fresh and super good. They will make a burger any way you want with grilled mushrooms and onion to a tzatziki Greek burger. The steak on a Kaiser is good. The burger prices are cheep compared to place downtown but that does not equate to poor quality. The pizza is a little expensive but the servings are generous so it’s good. The milkshakes and so is the service. Highly recommended.

The guy at the counter was polite and friendly. The price could be bit better. They do accept debit now. You can’t order from them with any food delivery service apps. 😐🍔🍟🍕

I have been hearing a lot about this place from people and online, so I wanted to try from here and ordered their Chicken burger and pizza. The food was okay, but their customer service was terrible. They were literally fighting between themselves, and two employees were swearing and cussing each other in front of the customers. It was very unprofessional. They did not even respect the fact that customers were there to order. I never had such a bad experience from anywhere else.

Pizza was 10/10. Poutine was 10/10. Their pizza reminds me of NY style pizzas = huge. I love how they put a generous amount of gravy and cheese in our poutine and it tasted good.

Uber is available now ! In Reading reviews saying they don't but I just ordered. I will update on the quality of the burger, gravy, fries and milkshake. Classics are the best :). Update. Absolutely amazing. I wish my stomach was bigger. It's Fresher than fresh. I tried the home burger with bacon and it was so good. But it was so big I had to force myself to finish at least half the burger. I wish I could eat more though. And the foil used to wrap it is supurb. It kept it actually hot not just warm for about 30 minutes and longer took. And hour and a half later the half burger is still hot enough for my dog to tackle me to the ground for more lol

Scarborough watch out because the Real McCoy is amazing! My 7 year old son has a class after school in the area and we have been coming weekly for dinner. Staff are friendly and kind and talked to my son while our food was being prepared. Definitely recommend this place, delicious food and amazing staff. Best place for pizza and burgers in Scarborough, next week we try fish and chips! Ps. “I’d reckon this place is the best place to eat in Scarborough” -7 year old

When I walked in for the first I knew right away there was a history of great food behind this establishment. I ordered the chicken burger with fries and gravy. The wait wasn't bad considering the number of customers lined up outside the door waiting. When I was called for my topping choices and was disappointed to see them place what appeared to be a frozen chicken patty on the bun. I assumed that since the burger meat was grilled with fresh ground beef they would be grilling chicken breast. I guess that's not the case. When I ate it, it was barely warm and tasted mediocre at best. My review is only based on their chicken burger but it's obvious that they are known for their beef burgers and other food options which looked and smelled delicious!

Unfortunately I had to give a low rating. I ordered for pickup off of uber Eats. Everything went well until I got home to eat it. Half way through my fries and gravy I found a long hair. This is now the second time that has happened from ordering here. I've never had any problems with eating here before as my family has grown up in the area and we always ate here. Now it's getting sloppy. Too many people in the kitchen literally. No one wearing hair nets clearly or beard nets. Hence why there is hair being found in the food. Please get it together.

I have really wanted to check this place, because of the hype and good news...but it was a fail! The food was not good at all. They were talking...and saying that they would give me an old slice of pepperoni pizza🍕, ( I wasn't supposed hear them say that and laugh about) turned out to give me a bellyache about 5 minutes after I devoured it. I was hungry, because I am pregnant. I ate the pizza and the chicken souvlaki around 11:50pm. I thought that being in business and years of service in the community, that would teach you to treat the customers you have with respect...I guess not! Be careful when ordering from this place....

It doesn't look like much, but the food is the star here. I don't eat meat, but my wife swears by the burgers and I love their pizzas. You can't really go wrong. Cash only. They now have an ATM in the lobby but it is better to plan ahead and bring some. Also take out only.

We arrived at this spot for lunch. we heard about this spot from a lot of people. Well, it was very successful. The staff members were very polite and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was tasty. We had a great time and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.

A non ostentatious place. Home made fries and burger pates. Reasonably priced and quality is decent. Recommended if you are hungry and in the hood. Update= the prices have gone up ( about $2 per burger ). The quality is a bit lacking. Now prefer making my own burger at home. Not worth it.

Just had our first pizza at The Real McCoy. It was the best pizza I've ever had. The ingredients were fresh and the dough was so tasty. The price was good too. We've bought burgers here for years. They are always so good but we've never tried their pizza. Well, I highly recommend it. Fries are very good also. Keep up the good work guys. It's always a treat to get a burger or pizza at The Real McCoy.

Simply amazing 👏🏾😋🤩 Ordered the Real McCoy 🍔 for pickup. The person taking the order was thorough and took the time to answer all my questions even though it was busy dinner hour. Pick up was smooth and staff friendly. The best part was the flavour and the toppings were perfect. Juicy and precision in toppings that were not falling out and sloppy. The burger was the best I've had. 🍔 Well done 👌🏾

The food was horrible. They need to clean this place up. How the city hasn’t shut this dive down is beyond me. Quality of the food has gone down hill since the owner sold the company. I ordered many things to give this place a positive review. But it seems I wouldn’t feed this food to anybody. Unless if you want some sort of stomach sickness. Diarrhea of sorts. Burgers, old, dry out meat. Also cooked horrible. Pretty much raw inside and burnt outside. The poutine was nasty. Gravy tasted months old, fries where all under cooked. Cheese who knows where they scraped that up from. The only thing I enjoyed was the coke yo wash my mouth out with. Do not eat here unless you have a death wish 🤔 remember I still gave this place a 2 star even though. I’ve seen worse. More to come stay tuned. Sorry I lost the pictures of the mess. When I was a kid about 22 years ago we got a large pep pizza there and were walking back to the apartments behind the restaurant, I was like 8 or something. I was so excited, then I tripped walking into the apartment and dropped the pizza face down in the entrance hall. Bruh ill never forget that moment, pizza is amazing.

Family owned pizza and burger joint. It's been around for decades and has absolutely delicious food. The staff are super friendly and they get to know their regular customers by name. It's a take-out joint with no seating, a bit outdated, but has no effect on their delicious and well-priced food.

It's been a while since I have had a pizza, so I decided to drop by at one of my local favourites yesterday. The Real McCoys has awesome burgers and pizzas, but I would definitely recommend their pizzas as they have the best in Toronto! They are made with fresh ingredients everyday and they are very generous with toppings. I decided to get green peppers, beef salami, and onions, and the toppings were tucked inside the cheese for the most part. The sauce is homemade and really nice, and to top it off, the service is really good and the staff is friendly. This place will always be a special gem in Toronto!

We dropped in for the first time and got the mojo burger, fries and drink combo for $16.75. The burger is huge and tasty. It was on the spicy side but we enjoyed it. And you get lots of fries. The gravy is tasty too. The pop is canned, not fountain. The service went quickly despite how busy it was in there. There is limited seating. This place is worth the visit.

I've been a regular at McCoy's for over 15 years! The poutine is to die for and the classic pepperoni pizza and chicken souvlaki are really good! They had delivery only on the weekends which was great but McCoy's any time of the week is just AMAZING thanks to Ubereats! I've made several orders so far and it's just as good as always. Quality and prices are very reasonable!

This is clearly one of the best place to eat in the neighborhood. Anytime I come to this place I am awfully pleased. They always keep their very high standard service and the highest level of cooking they provide. You always win with this place. Warmly recommended.

The Mojo burger lived up to the hype. Get it with the works. It's legit, yet not overwhelming. No one ingredient is overbearing. They obviously know how to handle beef.

This family-owned burger and pizza joint is an OG in the Scarborough food scene. The shop had to close last year but with the help of the local community, they opened the doors of their new location at 3300 Lawrence Avenue East. Since I am new to the area, I decided to try it out. We ordered their Mojo Burger combo, Poutine, Greek fries, and Cheese Pizza. I was impressed by the quality of their burger patty. The Mojo, without any exaggeration, is one of the best burgers I have tried in my life! No wonder, there was hype on social media when they reopened a few months back. The poutine and Greek fries were also pretty spectacular. The Cheese Pizza is just typical. The downside is, there are only a few tables for dine-in guests and very limited parking space. However, this won’t stop its patrons from flocking in and getting their hands on the Real McCoy burgers.

Not even gonna cap, I thought this place was gonna be mid from all of the hype around it but man I was so wrong, the hype is REAL, burgers were crazy good & size and price pretty good and in the range I’d pay. recommend getting for sure poutine is also pretty good as well everything melted, if you like that chunky squeaky cheese idk if it’ll be for you but if you’ll like that cheeeeese pull this is for you Not even gonna lie the pizza had me shocked I didn’t expect that big of a slice for 4 dollars, I’m not a big curst person but maaaaaaaaan it’s good Only thing I’d say go when it’s not too busy hard to find parking when it is tbh

This place is an excellent mom and pop type place that looks after its customers. The portions are very generous and prices are excellent for the times we live in. I was only in for a small bite to eat but the slice of pizza was huge! Check out the pic with a regular paper plate... It's not the best pizza slice out there and to be fair, the burgers in this place seemed like the popular option. The pizza was decent though. Toppings were good. Sauce might be out of a tin and little bit on the sour side. The cheese and pepperoni were good but nothing special. For $4, this hits the spot! The shop itself is set up more for a pickup location. There are a few 2-person tables but this is not a full service restaurant. Nothing wrong with this model but I wouldn't come here for a sit down meal. I will definitely be returning when I'm in the area so I can try out the mojo burger and fries!

This is the new location, and its still the best burgers in Scarborough. If your looking for a great homemade burger, look no further! This is a burger joint, but they have a full menu. I wanted to try the pizza, but the last 2 visits, as soon as I walk in, I ordered a home burger. The burgers are amazing, and they are hugh, stacked high with your favorite toppings. The store is handicapped accessible. There is some parking, but not alot. The staff are friendly here, and they work quickly, even when the restaurant is packed full. If your sick and tired of the fast food joints, and the low quality food they serve. Then support our local businesses, and enjoy your dinner again! Update, I went back for the pizza, and its awesome too. It was loaded with toppings, and it was hot and fresh. Super tasty.

Visited The Real McCOY on their second last day of operations. They are closing this location on Friday, December 23rd due to the plaza that the restaurant is located being demolished to make way for new development. Long line up today at 11:30am but the food still came out in good time despite the amazing crowd. We will miss George! Today I ordered 3 poutines, 3 hamburgers and a large pepperoni pizza. So so good, this restaurant has been here for over 50 years and still run by the same family who opened it back in the day. Here’s hoping they will find a new spot to open up, if not we wish George and family all the best for the memories.

The food is not bad, but the most important thing is the cleanliness of the place and the way the food is made, meaning that there is a chaotic way of doing the food and there is no cleanliness in it. I am talking about cleanliness, which is more important than eating. I expect that two hours or two days of cleaning will not harm and the place where the sandwich is made I see that it is not a comfortable place, in addition to the amount of dust in the place. I hope you will pay attention to cleanliness

In the past, I would have described it as the best burger in the GTA. However, after hiring many young people and students, the quality of the burger has declined dramatically. Still have love for the old guys, George, Kozta, the brown guy (sorry), etc.

Oooo Boy this place hit the spot!! You walk in and the walls are filled with community organizations and people showing their appreciation to this restaurant. Combine the decorated walls, the simple 'no frills' aesthetics with the smell of the grill and you can just tell they know how to make a delicious burger. Just watching the cheerful staff and taking in the homey vibe of that busy-take-out spot... I knew the food was going to be fantastic. The fries are crispy in the right spots and made in-house. I don't really mess with diary, yet I had to get the vanilla milkshake.... delish!! I'm so annoyed that I didn't take a photo, but you know the 'Home Cheese burger' was cooked wonderfully, the toppings were fresh and the portions were generous! They really are... The real McCoy! I'm definitely going back to try their pizza!

They changed management and I wasn't feeling very optimistic but thought I'd give it a try as I was already there. I'm happy to report that the three orders were all super good. The family was very satisfied. Phew...

Two burgers to go. Tasty but dry. The hamburger meat was dense and dry, which is a shame because the flavour was good. The place itself is a grubby hole in the wall, and shows its history.
