To say the least, I am very unimpressed starting from Peter’s demeanour and disrespect towards woman along with him complete and utter arrogance. As a returning customer of several times, you would think he would support or take care of you, but as the more I went in the smaller the portions were getting and the worse the service was getting. Doesn’t help when there is no in person dining and for Peter to only expect high tips for his service which is very uncomfortable and unsettling. As a person who loves Greek culture, for the prices and quality of food Peter is charging I find it overpriced in comparison to many restaurants like Astoria, or Zets. I do not recommend anyone to come to Navayo for the poor hospitality, the over priced food and the arrogance he comes off with along with the disrespect to all women.

Reviews looked good so I decided to order from here today for the first time. The guy on the phone repeated my order twice just to make sure it was correct. Well, I received a pork dinner instead of a beef dinner so that was an unpleasant surprise. So much for confirming my order twice. The next unpleasant surprise was the grilled calamari. I was going to order the appetizer, but asked the guy if the dinner (a few dollars more) would have the same portion size. He said yes. I'm not sure if the calamari is usually good, but it was bland, barely grilled and I'm sure anyone would think they overpaid if they saw the portion of calamari in comparison to the "filler" rice and potatoes. I'm going to guess the appetizer calamari serving would have had a better portion size, because if you were served the amount of "grilled" calamari I was in the more expensive dinner, you would probably want a refund. Disappointing. However, the chicken and lamb souvlaki dinners were good. Portions were decent. Overall, my experience was awful. The pork dinner I received instead of beef dinner i ordered ($7 difference..did I just get ripped off?) and the unfortunately bland and small amount of grilled calamari have turned me away from future visits. I mean, the guy didn't even mention he gave me pork instead of beef and let me pay the same total he mentioned on the phone! It's a shame since I read so many good reviews. I hope your experience, if you decide to try this place, is better than mine.

The portions are here are extremely small. The food is tasty, but I won’t be back after my most recent transaction. The owner made comments about what I was wearing and it made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It wasn’t my first time experiencing this kind of thing here, but I absolutely intend for it to be my last.

I have been going to Peter for years now. He food is delicious but the more I go here the more disappointed I am. Peter has a disrespect for woman that is blatant and disgusting. The portion sizes have dropped considerably and he charges $23 for a chicken souvlaki dinner. Which is far more than the going rate. I have now stopped going to Peter because of his arrogance, disrespect, and small portion sizes. Astoria, Taste of Greek, Souvlaki Hut, and Seraphia are all better options for greek food.

The meat was good but 80$ is steep for rice and potatoes( my potatoes were over cooked). Food was good, medium to small portions. He's got his momma cooking the back with him, it's nice. Had the four dips with this leaf wrapped rice mixture, it was very good.

Tasty food? Yes. Portion size? Small Price? Extravagant!! $37.30 for a chicken souvlaki dinner. No carbs only greek salad and extra kabob. Way too expensive for me and most others.

A real family owned restaurant. 100%. If you want to support local, this is the place. Absolutely the most friendly staff, all of them. Peter, the owner came and greeted us. You can tell the pride they have in everything they serve. We came for Valentine day and will definitely be back! Food portion is great and meat is very tender.

Finally getting around to posting this. We had ordered catering for our daughters birthday. They did not have what we had ordered prepare. The roasted vegetables were not there. Initially was told I did not order vegetables, then when he admitted it was a mistake he went on to defrost a bag of peas. It was very disappointing after the restaurant was highly recommended by others in our k neighbourhood. Will not be going back.

This was a wonderful dining experience. The calamari was tender and flavourful, and the salad was fresh and the dressing was perfect. The lamb chops were phenomenal, and were probably the best lamb chops I have had at a Greek restaurant. The mint jelly also paired perfectly with the lamb. The chicken souvlaki was tender and seasoned very well. The owner, Peter, was extremely friendly and made it a point to ask us about our food and get to know us better. Thank you to Catherine and Peter for making it a pleasurable night out, and for the great food.

Excellent Greek food. Big garlic and lemon flavors traditionally in Greek food. Food is always fresh and in big portions. I always get great service by that owners who care about their food and neighborhood. As a Greek, they are the real deal. Love that fried calamari dinner.

Fantastic spot. My review is YEARS later considering I never had a chance to visit again (thanks COVID), but he was super polite - we joked about clubbing in Miami/New York - while his mother, I believe, was sitting behind the counter making bread. Absolutely the BEST chicken souvlaki I’ve ever had - and it’s not close. Chicken was tender, seasoned well, and the bread was delicious.

Cute little hidden gem along a typical Scarboriugh strip mall. We had a hankering for some Greek food and realized we'd never given this place a chance before. What a joy! This is the quintessential family-run Greek restaurant and you really feel welcome and comfortable here. Server was so friendly and helpful. We even got a free bean salad! Atmosphere was very nice too. Almost every dish was tasty and well-made, which is such a nice change after being to so many bad Greek restaurants. (Growing up near Greektown spoiled me!) We ate until we just couldn't anymore and took the rest to go. I'm just relieved and happy to have this place nearby and we will definitely return over and over.

The quality of this food was sub par. The souvlaki was severely lacked flavour and the salad was kind of wilted. The price was definitely way over inflated. I’d rather eat at Mr. Greek and save money!

Currently take-out only (as of December 4th 2021), despite what it says here on Google. A nice cozy spot in scarborough. Has all of your favourite Greek plates. Chef/owner (?) is an extremely nice gentleman.

My wife (Heather) and I ordered 24 dinners (gave a couple of days notice) from Peter at Navayo Greek Bistro to be picked up for a get together at our home on Sunday. Wow!! The food was ready on time, fully prepared to keep it hot and servable in the trays. We had 24 of the chicken souvlaki dinners and the rice, salads, pita and garlic breads, tzatziki sauce, separate dressing and the roasted potatoes were amazing and so delicious!! Many of our guests wanted to know the phone number to this great Greek food bistro. We can't thank Peter and his family enough for the attention to details, service and food preparation and will certainly be calling him for our next get together!

Take out only, no dine in option. The food is so good! And a local and family owned business so go and support them!

Beautiful, cozy little restaurant. The owner and server were just wonderful. We likes that the owner came and talked to everyone in the restaurant. It made us feel special. Nothing but good things to say.

Had takeout for the first time and it was excellent! Hot and well prepared - even the fries for the kids were still crispy. We had the spaghetti, souvlaki dinner, dips, kids chicken tenders.

Just had some tonight and It was amazing! Chicken and pork Souvlaki that was seasoned so well and so juicy. The tzatziki was well balanced. The lemon potatoes were delicious too. 10/10 would recommend and I can't wait to have more!

Just had our delicious New Year’s Eve meal from Navayo Restaurant. The owner was disadvantaged by the fact that a couple of his employees were out with COVID so he was a one-man enterprise this evening. Nevertheless, our meal was simply delicious and prepared for us with the love he always has on the menu. This restaurant came recommended to me by my best friend who had rave reviews about it. I’ve had it a number of times to date and would have no reservations to recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced Greek cuisine meal in Scarborough. Bravo, Navayo Restaurant! Nice. Quick and friendly. Salad tasted VERY fresh. Chicken souvlaki was nicely marinated ( maybe just a little bit too much thyme). Fries were OK. Tzatziki should be packaged separately. Nobody likes warm tzatziki.🤣 Rice was very tasty. Overall a great experience.

The lamb souvlaki dinner was simply delicious ! .... all of it - the meat, potatoes, rice and salad. Enjoyed every bite. Love that this Greek treasure is east of the City. Thanks Peter!

Fantastic food and amazing service. We have NEVER been disappointed when eating here. Portions are always amazing and flavor is great! Prices may seem a little more then your average Greek place but man is it worth it! We will never order Greek from anywhere else hands down our favorite place. Thank you and keep it up!!

The food is excellent and am so happy to have discovered this gem. A real down home Greek family food experience. I have eaten a lot of souvlaki over my time and I can certainly say that this is one of the best!!

Ordered food for fathers day lunch for a group of 10 adults. Service was accommodating and friendly. Food was delicious but the rice was under cooked and still hard. Calamari batter was thick, different from the lightly dusted Calamari we're used to but still enjoyed it. Otherwise the pork & chicken souvlaki and potatoes with Greek salad, delicious.
