We had a great experience skating here on Thursday night. We made online reservations for 8pm for the Trail. There is a skating rink adjacent to the skating trail. Both looked nice, we are relatively new skaters so it was nice for us to try the trail. The staff were attentive and the registration onsite ran smoothly. There is an indoor area but currently closed to the public because of covid. There is a parking lot with accessible parking and a washroom on site. Lots of benches to put on your skates and take breaks.

2022 July 4β˜… A decent park with ample parking. Two sides, one near the soccer fields, the other near the playground, splash area and rink. There's also a dry inline skating rink right beside the actual rink and the change rooms. Soccer, playground, splash pad and skating rinks. Free parking! Awesome.

This park is one of the best places to relax and unwind. It boasts a spacious football field where you can often catch exciting matches. It's particularly popular among families and children, who can enjoy various recreational activities. Additionally, the park features a scenic trail. The beauty of the surroundings is enhanced during the fall season when vibrant colors adorn the landscape. In winter, visitors can engage in ice hockey and skating. Summer is perfect for family picnics and leisurely enjoyment.

McCowan district park is located at McCowan Road Scarborough, south side of Eglinton Avenue East. The park contains two soccer fields, a hockey field and a skating rink. The parking is huge. It is a nice place to burn calories whether being in one of those fields or walking around while your children can be in the playground.

We had good outdoor skating fun. Went early (around 10 am) and got in after a 5 minute wait. No indoor changing, but there's a good amount of benches to use. Not too crowded when we went. It I could see a line forming as we left. Kids taking names and skate patrol were helpful/respectful. It gets pretty cold from the wind off the open field nearby. Bundle up!

Beautiful park I love coming here in winter is having a nice ice rink. If you don’t know how to skate I would suggest come here and you will learn very fast. Is free all you have to do. Bring your skates helmet and have fun. Also, there is a hockey arena.

Very large public park with quite a few amenities. There are several playground areas for children with swings, slides etc. there is also a splash pad open during the summer months. Ice rink during the winter months. This park participated in the city of Toronto free skate rental program. Great time to practice skating with your family.

This park is beautifully maintained and extremely clean. There is ample space to run, play ball or have a freestyle game of soccer. A long stretch of bike trail runs through this park in Scarborough. I did have a couple of small issues with the park. As we walked along the trail, there was nowhere to stop and sit...absolutely nowhere. There were no benches or bleachers - nothing. I understand in the winter they have an ice rink outside which I imagine is good for people who skate. Other than that, I didn't see anything at all to do - no activities, no kids park, no ball diamond. Maybe we didn't walk far enough?

This is our go-to park for both summer and winter times. They have nice playground for the kids. Nice trail for cycling and walking. During the winter we love the ice skating rink, which turns into a roller skating park in summer. There are couple of soccer grounds that my kids totally love! Also enough space for small BBQ and gatherings.

Sure has changed over the years. Now there is so much more to do here than play soccer. There is a water play area, skating path used to rollerblade/skate in summer and ice skate in the winter.

Nice park with soccer fields, a splash pad and a hockey rink. It has a beautiful walking/biking trail that makes you feel like you are hiking in the woods

Nice playground, lots of space for kids to ride bike and run and a couple of football fields... All surrounded by trees. On winter time there is a nice outdoor rink for skating and on summer a fun splash pad.

McCowan District Park is a wonderful place for outdoor activities and relaxation. The park offers a wide range of amenities, including well-maintained walking trails, spacious picnic areas, and a playground for kids. The greenery and landscaping make it a pleasant spot for a leisurely stroll or a family gathering. The park's cleanliness is commendable, with regular maintenance and garbage bins conveniently placed throughout. Enjoyed some skating here. It was Hockey Day (great for kids!). I don't have children so the music was pumping WAY too loud for my old ears.

  • 5/5 Krish S. 3 years ago on Google
Courteous staff, they even have music playing to brighten the mood. Best of both worlds a nice trail and a rink to switch back and forth.

This is a nice, clean park. Won't find garbage all over the place. The grass is well maintained as well. Not sure how it is in the winter. I tend to hibernate from the outdoors for trail walks but it is absolutely beautiful in the summer/fall time.

It's a nice park but there isn't any picnic tables and parking is limited at times but still a nice and clean park. Restrooms are limited and not clean. It's not a dog park. The playground is decent. Not enough chairs.

First time. Park was clean and well taken care of. Nice water park for kids. Soccer fields in good shape. Parking at either end of park. Think they had a ball hockey rink too. Washrooms were park like. Indoor area (with water fountain) was closed when I was there

Excellent winter day experience at McCowan District Park. There's a full sized rink with Boards used for shinny hockey all day starting with younger kids in the morning, progressing to teens in the afternoon and adults in the evening. Right next to it is a skating trail they may be about 200 metres around. Both are maintained by Zamboni and well lit at night with an indoor change facility. Finally, there is a small hill behind the rink for tobogganing. Something for everyone...from morning until the evening. Enjoy!

Super small. But a well kept skating path for a quick and leisure skate. The hockey jocks can be a bit much when they're done practicing in the enclosed rink and move to the path. But aside from that, a good skating path to visit.
