The food is good but the service is terrible. Also they don't mention anywhere and charge 15% gratuity (for 2 people!). I don’t mind tipping but dont force me to do so when you are doing your job of servicing customers who enter your restaurant. The waitresses were so busy discussing government policies, geopolitical issues, election and recession that they did not even notice us while we were there. I was there with my wife and we were only customers while in the restaurant and we still had to go and ask for the menu, orders or even paying for the bill. Not okay at all.

Do not buy from here unless you want stomach runs or salmonella! they cook things way to fast without ensuring freshness. They also cannot follow simple instructions! you tell them don't add pepper, they add, you tell them to add sauce, they don't add. What is so hard to follow simple instructions?! Happy i was refunded for such foolishness. Calling in, they will just try yell. They're really lucky i called than walked in LOL! They need chefs who can read and cook better authentic Thai food!

Open till late night. The service was quick. Many options. The quantity was food was also large. I wouldn’t say this is 100% authentic thai.. it was a good mix of Hakka and thai !! Chilli chicken was spicy and good. Crispy beef was sweet to my surprise. The fried rice was tasty! The yellow curry was fantastic! Definitely coming back again!

Extremely tasty food. Quick service. Clean place. Only thing is 15% tips is added onto your bill automatically. Customers should be aware of that.

Recently visited this place and tried their Thai Spicy Eggplant and Vegetables Curry Pad Thai, I usually don’t eat that much Thai food but all the places I’ve visited so far were quite good and I have liked it but this place I did not like their offerings. It might align with others taste buds but not mine as I’ve tried Curry Pad Thai before and that had curry as well but still the noodles were not like all stuck together and all but here the noodles kind of lost their purpose and also I did not like the curry flavour too. About Thai Spicy Eggplant it was okay as well.

Phenomenal Thai food, I think the best I’ve had in the gta so far. The chicken fried rice was so fluffy. The chili chicken is so crispy and packs a kick but still so flavourful, definitely addicting.

Review after couple of visits. Very very tasty Thai cuisine. Very quick service and yet no compromise of the taste n quality of food. Felt very economical for the quantity they gave had to pack half the meal 😛 highly recommended for Thai lovers.

This is a Thai and Malaysian eatery. I had Pad Thai seafood noodles, Malay Chicken Curry (served with rice), and a Shrimp Coconut milk Soup. These dishes don't quite have the authentic flavors, looks and textures of their real McCoy - but they are very flavorful, tasty and creatively prepared. The Pad Thai and Malay Curry are done with thick gravy/sauce. Kudus to the chefs. I would considered these dishes to be the best in Scarborough if not in the surrounding GTA. Jul 31, 2022: Still the best Thai/Malaysia Restaurant.

If you are looking for authentic Thai food then this is not the place to go to. Ordered a pad Thai and a sweet and sour soup. The pad Thai tastes off. Somehow it tastes like stirred fry noodles with ketup. The soup is even worse. It's sooooooo sour. Maybe the chef forgot and doubled the portion of vinegar. First and last time here for sure.

We went here to celebrate my birthday instead of going downtown. While the outside looks like fast food joint, the inside is totally different and look decent. The food was delicious. All 4 of us with picky and different taste preferences loved the place. The staff is friendly and even surprised us with 2 slices of birthday cheesecakes. Great service, tasty food. This will be a staple comfort food for us from now on. We are definitely coming back!

Came back here a second time today with my family and the service was great! The servers are truly so kind they check up on you constantly. The server knew we were fasting so he checked up on us and made sure the food came before we broke our fast! Such a great experience here. If you come by here, definitely grab a thai iced tea to go with your food!

Im not big on Thai food, but dang! This was good. Every single dish is unique and not your typical Thai food. Great flavor and spices, and bring your rag because some dishes will make you sweat! Just ask for less spice if you cant handle it. My fav was spicy thai noddle with lamb and the crispy beef was on point. Small place inside, clean, bathrooms could be cleaner and didnt have soap. Staff were cool and put up with a table of 9 giggly men. Would return!

We made reservations to restaurant but it didn't seem to matter when we arrived. We were seated and provided menus. They did not explain that the specials listed were for take out only....solution to this would be to either indicate this when menus are handed out or print this in the menu more clearly. We ordered the chicken pad thai and oodles of noodles. The food was mediocre and nothing special; not authentic thai food. Server was bit pushy and made a few unnecessary assumptions throughout the service. I thought I would give this restaurant a chance but I'm not interested in going back at all. If you want a fast food type of thai with nice seating this is your spot.

Amazing food. I was quite surprised to see how big the portions were at this restaurant to start, but the quality of the food is what was really impressive. We had three apps. The tofu was my favourite! It came with peanut sauce, so did the chicken satay. The tofu was firm, and fried to a perfect crispy texture and the flavour was on point!. The spring rolls were meh… this item I would probably not order again. We also ordered the Malaysian curry, and it was so authentic tasting. Like I was in Malaysia eating this. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The place is clean and inviting. The noise level was good, you can actually enjoy your meal and have good conversation. I can’t wait to go back here!

Jatujak used to be my go-to Thai place. But this beat it! Every dish I’ve ordered till date has been top notch! I love the Malay bread and red or green curry. My dad ordered ginger lamb & pineapple fried rice and loved it

Just recently went to Thai Room Scarborough after the pandemic and it has been a great experience! My buddies and I had Golden Curry Chicken, Malay Curry Tofu with Vegetables and Curry Pad Thai Vegetarian with small bowls of rice and it was delicious! 😋 When you think of Thai food, this is the place you gotta check out! Their shrimp pad thai is the best. Flavor is so delicious and the serving size is pretty big with 10 pieces of jumbo shrimp! The value for this meal is awesome. Really enjoyed it and have already ordered it 3 more times again. Will definitely keep going back for this order!!

There is lots of parking, and the restaurant is handicapped accessible. The service was fast and curtious. The menu is easy to understand, and the restaurant was clean. The washroom I used had a door handle falling off, and the tiles on the wall look like they need to be cleaned. It was really tasty but, the beef was a bit too chewy, I would have given 5 star if the beef was more tender. Green curry was delishious, but once again, the beef was a bit chewy, perhaps try the chicken.

A good Thai restaurant tucked away from the main road. Didn’t know of this place, and happen to find it on Google—so we tried it out. Was quite impressed with the food. We tried the Thai shrimp roll, chicken pad Thai and golden curry shrimp. Every single dish was a burst of delicious flavours in your mouth. Our server was nice, but she was constantly on her phone. The atmosphere was nice, booths were comfy and gives you that “stay a while” kinda vibe. Would definitely go back!

Me and my friend came here today to have lunch. The place seemed decent to us. We ordered basil seafood, mushroom soup, basil shrimp and seafood fried rice. I got sand or some kind of sediment in the mussels of my seafood dish. When I told the server, she or none of the employees seemed concerned about the issue. Taking off 2$ from my bill is definitely not the way to address the issue. They were not apologetic either.

Ordered the beef with mango red curry and the coconut mango chicken. The dishes are ok but not great. Nice place with friendly staff. The only issue they add a gratuity fee to your bill.

My sister wanted Thai food, so we went and ordered the dinner for 4 meal. The food is so so, I enjoyed the curry but other than that it's average. I believe they also did not give me an extra side of spring rolls for pick up orders over $35 as mentioned in the menu as well. The spring rolls in my photos are from my dinner for 4 meal. This is my favourite place for Thai in Scarborough. We got takeout. Food is consistently high quality. Particular favourites for us are the mango chicken, the calamari and the mango salad.

Pleasantly surprised with the incredible food and service at Thai Room. The vegetable stir fry noodle with tufu was excellent! - The presentation was beautiful and overall reasonably priced meal. The cocktail selection on a busy Friday evening was limited. Our waitress suggested the mango cocktail...👌🏾loved it!

The pros of this restaurant are that the food is full of flavour, portion is great, and they threw in free spring rolls once we spent a certain threshold. Service is fast too which is always a plus during lunch hours. On the other hand, the cons are that we ordered from this restaurant for a lunch party of 10 and none of the orders came labeled which made it such a hassle to figure out the orders. Although the food was flavourful, it was ultra salty to the point where it made it nearly bitter.

The so called "Signature chicken and shrimp pad thai" is the worst pad thai i have ever had. First and the last time i will ever eat at this place. Disgusting!

Thai Room surviving yellow Thai curry 🍛 Yellow Thai curry is a delightful and aromatic dish that never fails to impress with its harmonious blend of flavors. I recently had the pleasure of savoring a bowl of this culinary masterpiece, and here's my review: The first thing that struck me about the yellow Thai curry was its vibrant and inviting appearance. The rich, golden hue of the curry immediately whetted my appetite. The aroma that wafted from the bowl was equally enticing, a tantalizing mix of lemongrass, coconut, and an array of exotic spices. The taste was a symphony of flavors. The creaminess of the coconut milk provided a soothing base, which was beautifully balanced by the tanginess of the lime leaves and the slight sweetness of palm sugar. The star of the show, however, was the medley of spices – turmeric, cumin, coriander, and a touch of chili heat, all working in perfect harmony. The tender chunks of protein, usually chicken or tofu, absorbed these flavors wonderfully. What I appreciate most about yellow Thai curry is its versatility. It can be tailored to one's spice preference, making it accessible to a wide range of palates. For those who prefer mild flavors, it's a comforting and creamy indulgence, while those seeking a more fiery experience can add extra chili to their liking. The accompanying jasmine rice was the ideal partner for this dish, providing a neutral canvas that allowed the curry's complex flavors to shine. The fresh herbs, like cilantro and Thai basil, added a burst of freshness to every bite. In conclusion, yellow Thai curry is a culinary masterpiece that I would heartily recommend to anyone seeking a taste adventure. Its balance of flavors, from creamy coconut to zesty spices, is nothing short of delightful. Whether you're a Thai food enthusiast or new to this cuisine, yellow Thai curry is a must-try that will transport your taste buds to the streets of Thailand.

I found thai room decent, but not outstanding. It lacked authentic Thai that I'm accustomed to. The dishes seemed to be Indian/Canadian infused and influenced, mainly the customers and chefs were Indian/south asian with Thai staff…. This may have influenced the flavouring and authenticity in my opinion… The dishes had generous amounts, but the dicing resulted in large chunks of meats and vegetables. Despite that, the food presentation was good and the restaurant looked great. Unfortunately it was overpriced and expensive. I ordered the pad Thai and basil lamb. Came out for almost $60cad.

I usually order the Malay curry and mango sticky rice for takeout. Even though the curry is too salty and the sticky rice tastes too much like brown sugar, I'm always satisfied. I like that I can get lamb here and they're not too stingy with the shrimp when I go with that. It's still hot by the time it gets home with me, and the portions are big enough for a few meals. Leftover curry is always good and this is no exception, so it's perfect for takeout.
