Found this place while driving by on a Friday while visiting the PEC and we knew we had to stop by on our way home. The smell was delicious! Honestly, had one of the best jerk chickens! I had the mild sweet BBQ chicken and it came with plantain chips, coleslaw and rice. Everything was super flavourful and he gave such a generous amount. Since I live in the GTA, if I ever come by I'm stopping by since this place is really close to the 401. He takes debit and credit card here as well as cash and there's a small place to dine outside.

Always an amazing experience dining here! Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic and extremely flavourful. From their rice and peas, coleslaw, plantain chips and veggie burgers. They bring a little of the island vibe and flavour to PEC! A must visit if you’re ever passing through the county. The only downside as a vegetarian is that I can’t bite into the chicken, it smells so good!

Visited in late Fall during Girls Weekend in Cherry Valley. Was well worth the drive there from where we were staying which was 45 minutes away. After we parked, as we walked up, there was reggae playing and who we believe is the Owner (pictured) on the grill. He was super friendly, we chatted about the area and our Jamaican connections. We noticed there was what looked like a few areas to sit but although it was a beautiful day, it was a bit chilly so we decided to take our food to go. The food was fresh, delicious and well portioned. Seasoning was perfect. We had so much food that we were able to eat a full meal again the next day. If you get an opportunity to visit, do not pass it up. Would love to visit again when it's warmer and sit outside to eat while enjoying the music and conversation.

Beautiful place and a great vibe. One of the best jerk chicken I have had in a while. The slow cooked chicken and the love from the chef brings out great flavor. Friendly customer service the key to love their food the most. I would define visit them again.

Best smelling place in Trenton, and the food is phenomenal. Taste is spot-on, rice is cooked perfectly, chicken is cooked perfectly, the spices hot, but it isn't over the top for no reason. It's just right, a bit pricey, but a nice change from the usual McDonald's or Wendy's routine. Definitely recommend trying it!

Its a jerk chicken take out in Prince Edward County. It was one of the first food I had when I came to Canada and I remember it ever since. Easily the best Jerk chicken you can get in whole of Canada! The chicken is marinated well, just the right amount of jerk sauce and spice. You can even adjust the spice level with the owner, just let him know what you prefer before he puts your chicken on the grill. $40 including tax will get you a half chicken, rice with beans, banana chips and coleslaw. Easily feed 2 - 3 pax. Everything single item taste delicious, and complement each other perfectly. I cant rave enough of them because they are that good! So do me a favor, if you stay in Quinte area or Kingston, and you have not tried this yet, you absolutely need to.

Drove by this gem on my way to the highway and had to stop! The chicken, rice and coleslaw meal was absolutely delicious! The chicken was so flavourful and juicy. Portion sizes are great. Not mention the service was so friendly! Can’t wait to visit again the next time i’m in town!

Outdoor jerk hut that tastes as authentic as the chill staff. Stumbled across this gem heading home one day and will most certainly be back. A whole vibe. 10/10 would recommend anytime of day.

Wow, my wife and I picked up a half chicken order and brought it home to enjoy. The last time I had jerk chicken this good was 13 years ago in Montego Bay on our anniversary. I wish I knew about this place earlier in the season. The chicken was very good and juicy. I didn't need my knife to eat just my fork for the rice and coleslaw. will definitely be back as the lunch which also included rice, coleslaw and plantains.

There's just no way someone could be disappointed eating there. The chicken is 100% legit and you get your money's worth. By the way, the inside of the chicken is pink not because it is still raw but because that's what happen when you smoke meat for a long time. It's normal and safe. It's like the smoke rings on pork ribs.

Don't trust one-star reviews from people who have malicious motivations or have zero clue what this type of food should look like or taste like; Josh's food is great!! Chicken had a superb flavour and texture, rice and beans were cooked just right, plantain was nice and crisp, and all flavours were subtle but proper, allowing the ingredients to shine through instead of being hidden. Serving size made for one huge meal! I'll be back

We stopped at Jerkebago after visiting a few wineries- we were blown away to find this gem!! The Jerk chicken, peas & rice was authentic and delicious 😋. All enjoyed this yummy & unexpected stop! We will be back!!

Had a great lunch after golf. Josh and Darius did a great job. Lots of food, jerk spice was amazing. Highly recommend if you're in the Carrying Place area.

Simple menu that is strong on flavour and taste! Well worth going to when they are open during the nicer parts of the year! They have great jerk chicken - realize that they have one or two menu options, but they do them incredibly well! If you're passing through, absolutely take time to make the stop and grab lunch or dinner!

The service was nice but the food was disappointing. My family and I came from enthe GTA and wanted to try the jerk chicken. The chicken smelled amazing and looked good but the inside was bright pink and raw; every piece was raw. The rice and peas hardly had any peas and the coleslaw was tasteless. It was quite disappointing.

Stopped in to amazing road side food hut on our way into PEC and were greeted with the most friendly faces as if we were old friends :) We tried the jerk chicken, doubles and patties and they were all delicious. We look forward to going back again next year ☺️

The aroma when I walked up to order promised incredible food. I was not disappointed. The chef was fantastic and we had a good chat before sitting down to eat. The chicken was fantastic and the flavour was incredible. Perfect amount of tongue tingling spice along with all of the flavour expected of authentic jerk chicken. I was also very happy with the portion size. Very happy that I stopped by. I will definitely be back!

The people working here were knowledgeable, friendly, and made delicious food! The decor gave the atmosphere a real Jamaican feel to it. My boyfriend and I stopped there for lunch on our way back from the cottage, and we were glad we did! One of the best jerk chicken meals I’ve had in a while. There are picnic tables for you to sit and enjoy your food out in the nice weather! It was a hidden gem we almost missed, but glad we gave it a try. Would highly recommend!

One of the best meals I’ve had. So flavourful, generous portions, and the service was exceptional. My family and I will definitely be back. 5 stars all around.
