All of you living in East York and Southwest Scarborough must go to NAFB Aquarium Centre for all you aquarium needs. Prices are well below those of their competitor's and their service is by far superior, as is their staff's knowledge.

One of the best stores for the hobby in the GTA. I just wish they had more of an online presence that shows their stock & pricing. That's the only thing they're lacking imo. All their competitors have online stores where we can see stock before we make the trip.

Pretty sure this is a family run business. As far as I know they have been here for a couple of decades. Went in to get a fish and bowl for my little one a few weeks ago, a nice man (possibly the owner) was very helpful, gave us advice on what we needed for a little starter pet fish set up. We got a bowl, an accessory castle and 2 gold fish. Very beautiful & healthy fish. We will definitely be coming back for our future first filtered aquarium. Please shop and support local!! A hidden gem! A family-owned business since the early 1900s. It’s spotless!! They have an impressive choice of fish esp for the amateur like me. No pressure. I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll be back in a couple of weeks for more advice. Highly recommend.

The guys in the store know what they're doing. They're very helpful, so ask as many questions as you need! They'll put you in the right track for success when first starting out!

They have some great stuff - it's a small store and the products and aquariums are poorly displayed. Lots of clutter and not much light to see the beautiful life forms.

They have good quality aquarium products that most other pet stores don't carry. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're having trouble finding it at other aquatic stores.

These guys are extremely kind and knowledgeable. Pricing is pretty well impossible to beat for mari e livestock. A "go to" for me.... this is how you avoid getting taken to the cleaners in this hobby financially!! Highly recommend.

Great place to shop aqaurium fishes and accessories. The two brothers take their time to answer all your questions and will advise you why a particular livestock or accessory would be good or bad for your tank.

Great service and good selection. It really helps that they color code each fish description on the tank in 3 colours so you know if they are passive or more aggressive and not community friendly. Bonus points for the genuine passion for thier love of aquariums & customers, it really makes every visit great.

The staff is very courteous and wasn’t pushy. Very helpful especially for the question that I’ve asked for my Betta fin rot. They helped me to understand difference types of antibiotics like bettafix or melanocytes.

Brought my 75G that leaked here. John did my silicone and braced the tank. Its been up the past 5 years or so with no issues.

I ended up rescuing a 15 year old red slider turtle. The staff which is a family owned and run business was extremely helpful in helping me find what I needed. Super friendly. I needed alot of help and they all spent the time with me. Meet a couple of loyal customers while I was there and they said they dont go anywhere else. I believe that have another loyal customer.

Great selection of hard to find supplies and equipment. Only place I've come across that stocks uni-seals. Custom aquariums look well made and of better quality and materials than franchise stores. Very knowledgeable owner.

I didn't catch this at first, but I was charged for items I didn't buy. Items I had purchased I was overcharged for as well. They have older style receipts so it doesn't list what the items are, and I was charged for 4 plants @ $7.99, when I actually got 3 plants, and I was told one was $4.99 and the other two $7.99. I was also overcharged for 2 frogs. Otherwise the younger clerk was friendly, but he's the one that made all the errors. :/ The older guy was the one who told me the pricing. I dunno, I don't like to complain, but I don't have a lot during this covid thing, and my experience really put me down on coming back.

Not only were the folks at NAFB willing to spend time to advise us on choosing exactly the right fish and supplies to get started, but they're always so helpful in answering our questions when we need help with our fish or aquarium environment. We've learned so much from them, and are thankful we found NAFB!

Been going here for years! Just got more fish and a uv light system this weekend .Also got more fish 2 weeks ago always helpful great service and very knowledgeable! Can't beat this place for an aquarium store. There is lots of selection both salt and freshwater. They have all kinds of supplies ,different food and accessories. I highly recommend this store I drive an hr and half to go there just because it's so worth it .

NAFB aquarium centre has been around as long as I can remember (I was raised in Scarborough in the '70s). This unassuming store has always stocked what I required, but full disclosure I am not not an aquatic aficionado but could find sufficient varieties, in stock to suit my needs. They have many, many tanks, with varieties of fish, mollusk, plants and amphibians. Including nocturnal varieties. My kids enjoy the experience, seeing their inventory and peering into every tank. However, the staff are always helpful and very knowledgeable, understanding the different characteristics and care requirements of the variety of species they carry. They have always been able to provide me with guidance whenever asked, leaving me informed and well-equipped. I will return and support my local business!

Tonnes of LPS corals, and a lot of medications and other things you wouldn't find at other fish stores. The owner also keeps a lot of odds and ends needed to get a fish tank running.

I was given nafb's name when looking for a custom aquarium. They gave me exactly what I wanted for a very good price. I never once called and didn't get a call back. Tank is beautiful. Was a very good experience and I highly recommend them
