Did my Drysuit certification with Roman from Scuba2000. It was absolutely awesome! The whole staff was super helpful in getting me rental gear fitted and prepared, I was able to conveniently do the pool session right in the scuba2000 shop, and the open water dives couldn't have gone smoother. Roman is an excellent instructor - he is knowledgeable and patient and makes the whole experience really enjoyable. Will be back for more certification courses soon!

They were so helpful and the lady who was working there wasn't pushy. I was looking at a really expensive mask but she very honestly explained that I could get away with something cheaper and I would be very happy with it. I haven't bought it yet, but when I do I will most likely still get the expensive one because I really liked it. I'm definitely buying from them though. Top notch service you can feel the passion they have for diving and how enthusiastic they are to get you into the sport. Haven't felt that way in a hobby store for a very long time...ok I'm done now, but seriously check them out of you're interested in getting into scuba diving.

Went to Scuba 2000 for the first time the other day. I was greeted by 2 very friendly and outgoing girls who were more than happy to accommodate everything I needed, also were very helpful and really knew what they were talking about. Made me feel at home! Great shop probably best I've ever been in and I will be back very soon to do all my courses and shopping. Thanks Scuba 2000, Lauren and Emily!

Yesterday I went in to buy a few things for the first time. What nice shop with helpful staff. I had the opportunity to meet a few of the dive instructors and owner. Andrew one on the dive instructors gave me some really great tips since I am a new diver (only 3 years experience). I did not feel like there was a wrong question I could ask. He even took the time to explain the dive master program to me. I appreciated that because in other dive shops no one really took the time. I would definitely go back because of the kind staff and welcoming atmosphere the store provided. Great first impression and experience.

I took my first Open Water course with Scuba 2000 on a whim during the boringest summer of 2021, but they made me a true believer. The staff and instructors are super cool and take fun very seriously. Thanks to them, I've been diving non stop. Underwater is a whole new world!

My partner and I did the Open Water Referral Course at Scuba 2000. We had two days of training with Andrew & Sue in the pool and really enjoyed ourselves. Both instructors were knowledgeable and guided us easily through the pool theory. I would definitely go back for my Advanced Open Water! I recommend you decide ahead of time if you want to do self-guided eLearning or do the full days at Scuba 2000 (mornings in class and afternoons in pool). I booked eLearning by accident and it wasn’t conducive to my learning style, it’s about 6-8 hrs of online reading, tests and videos. If you learn better with a teacher, don’t choose eLearning and you will also receive a textbook and cute PADI bag… the days will be long but I think it’s worth it for the full experience and to fit the course into a weekend. In the eLearning scenario, your online work and exams must be completed before you attend the weekend course, and you only need to show up for the afternoons in the pool.

Great store, that offer great variety of products for scuba diving and also services, like trainings and diving trips. The staff is really nice and helpful, makes you feel extremely welcome and confident that you came to the right place.

Scuba 2000 is awesome! The place is so organized and spotless. They have all the gears you can think of, in all the colors you can imagine! They even let me try the gears in the pool before I bought them . I haven’t gone diving in 5 years and I was really reluctant to try again until I walked into this dive shop. Special shout out to Sue, who helped me with my refresher and ensured I walked out of there full of confidence for my future dives. I can’t remember ever having that much fun in a pool session 😊. She made me feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in, and answered all my inquiries, and even canceled a personal appointment to accommodate me. All the staff here are so welcoming and so dedicated . The most exceptional customer service ever! Such a pleasant experience 😊

Arek and Conrad were both absolutely amazing instructors. Very patient and very passionate about scuba diving. They both took the time to explain and make sure I understood every step before proceeding to the next one. I had a wonderful first time experience with them and look forward to doing another lesson with them! I highly recommend both of them if you’re interested in trying scuba diving!

I've done all of my training at Scuba 2000. Very convenient as they have their own pool and very large pro shop. They also have 'open pool days' on Tuesdays and Thursdays to let divers practice in the pool with a Divemaster. Couldn't expect more from a dive shop, although a reno on the pool change rooms should probably be done as they are looking a little bit worn in.

Scuba 2000 has amazing facilities, staff, and Instructors/Divemasters. Where else can you do all your Scuba certifications right on site in their tropical pool and state of the art classrooms, receive expert guidance on dive equipment, get your gear serviced, and book a travel vacation...all in one place?! Scuba 2000 is the best place in the GTA for all things SCUBA!

My family bought me the open water scuba course for my birthday, and I just finished it today. It was so much fun and so informative and makes me excited to start diving in an open water setting! We had six people in our class and had one very helpful and friendly instructor for the in class. We had Dane Keugl for the in clas and he was great. For the pool portion we had two instructors for six students so the had the ability to be very thorough and made everyone comfortable with the skills we were learning. I had an awesome time and would recommend this training centre for anyone who might be interested in trying. You will love it! Especially after the upcoming renovations that they are planning for the pool and change room area. Thank you for everything!

Scuba 2000 is truly a 5 Star Padi resort! We did our open water dive with scuba 2000 at Tobermory. Our instructor OZ, was very professional, and fun to dive with. He thought us all the skills we would need to be successful as a diver. OZ even made us a barbecue for dinner and it was delicious. Thank you OZ and the team at scuba 2000 for making our weekend unforgettable. We will definitely be back to continue our diving journey with Scuba 2000!

Just completed the confined water dives at their location and it was an amazing experience. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. They made sure we understood the procedures, the skills, and the reasons why we would do something. Will was our instructor and had many great stories that were both interesting and instructional. We will be completing our open water dives through Scuba 2000, and I'm really looking forward to more dive courses and purchasing equipment from this shop! Thanks for a great weekend!

We loved our PADI open water course. It's so convenient to have the pool right on site. The staff are fantastic and love what they do. We had to make some last minute scheduling changes and they worked hard to accommodate us. We are so looking forward to our cert. dives in Tobermory with them. We drive all the way from Cambridge to Scuba2000 and feels it's definitively worth the drive.

Had the opportunity to do my open water training at S2K and from the start it was such a great experience. Being able to learn about the gear and then even being able to try the gear in the pool while training, as their pool is actually within the store. It was such an incredible experience. As not all equipment works for everyone and they were able to show me and find me what made me the most comfortable in the water. Let alone how the entire classroom and inwater teaching was this beautiful blend of technical skills, knowledge, team building, being comfortable and aware. And all this was taken to a whole other level when... I traveled with S2K to Roatan for the final part of my open water. The entire group of the trip all met a few weeks prior to our trip to go over the entire outline and what we all personally were looking to get from this trip; from explore, to further advances in our padi certificates, extra diving... The trip was completely based all around what we were looking for prior to even going. And it was nice to not feel like we would ever be obligated at any point on the trip. A few us shared a fare to the airport and upon arrival the entire team started joining us all a few minute apart, all wearing some sort of s2k memoriabilia or gear. And I swear ever 15 mins someone was running up to us asking us about diving and or talking about how they always wanted to try. It was a fun way to start the trip feeling like celebrities in a way lol. We landed in Roatan and was waiting at customs when some lady collapsed and my teacher and dive trip lead from scuba 2000 was the first one there to take care of her needs until he got her to the airport staff whom thanked him so much and brought the remainder of our team through customs, ( and got us all in VIP when we were departing ) At that time we met Silvia the owner of hammerhead and our laizon for the rest of the trip. Who from the moment we met opened her arms to us and from that moment forward the next 7 days were all of love and passion. Chris our dive lead, Carlos our incredible host/diver which when in his presence would overwhelm you with happiness and laughter, our boat captain whom had us all dancing. But the beauty of it all was how everyone there just wanted to share their purpose and passion with us and with Will,Nancy and Emily from S2K not just being our teachers and leaders , but friends and family. I think for all of us I can say we all made relationships that won't just be memories but relationships that we will all have for the rest of our lives. So thank you S2K for something no one could ever imagine could be packaged into a trip. Thank you Emily , Will and Nancy for being you. And if ever in Roatan give Emily a call and she will set you with the best people in Roatan. Or really any dive shop around the world. It was incredible learning how respected s2k divers are anywhere they are present.

I recently completed the open water (weekend course) with Scuba2000. I had some difficulties with the pool portion and my instructor - Nancy took the time out of her busy schedule to come to the pool with me on two Tuesday evenings to complete all of my skills required. I love that Scuba 2000 offers their students the chance to come back in on Tuesday and Thursday nights to practice their skills - that is a company that truly believes in having their students be prepared for the open water. I cannot say enough good things about the company and staff here. If you have any hesitation or worries about getting your open water certification this is the place to go. The teachers go out of their way to work with you until you are ready/comfortable. I went from nervous and flustered and now I cannot wait to get back in the water. Congrats on such a great facility.

This is long overdue, 1-year to be accurate. I don't usually write reviews, but I feel that I must. I did a lot of homework before signing up for my PADI Scuba course. I found Scuba 2000 among the top 3 of my picks despite living over an hour away. When I went to Scuba 2000 like all other dive shops I attended, I was intimidated. I was completely new to this, I was overwhelmed with lots of questions. Like most other shops, they had lots of inventory to look at and other Customers flowing through their doors in the time I was there. There was one distinct difference I found immediately, it was the atmosphere... One of the biggest differences between Scuba 2000 and the other shops I visited, was that the constant flow of Customers through their store were all greeted by name... There were no unknowns in the building. It did not take very long before One of their Staff introduced themselves and made me not only feel at ease, but instantly a part of their environment by offering me information of what they offer, but also great feedback from other clients they introduced me to. The course was great, and I love that they have an on site pool as well to train and test in. Once I received my open water certificate, I was given a 1-year membership to the "Dive Team", which not only gave me pool privileges to practice my skills with many great Instructors on staff, but as well a chance to try out new and different equipment in a practical setting before investing in my own. Scuba 2000 and ALL of their Staff go out of their way to provide you not only great knowledge and information, but also great products at very competitive prices. They also back their products they sell, which adds confidence in investing in gear with them. I will conclude this with saying above all of these great things I have mentioned about my experience and luck in finding Scuba 2000, The Owner and Staff hosts great and fun local Scuba events which are a fun and great way to to gain experience as well and meet and mingle with the new Friends I have met through them. Thanks Scuba 2000 for a great experience, and all my new adventures this has opened up. I look forward to lots of fun filled years with you all! Thanks, James.

Today I met with Mark, Terese and Nazeem at scuba 2000. Mark was very professional, friendly and polite. He helped my wife purchased her upgraded mask, snorkel, fins, boots and flippers. He was extremely well versed in his product knowledge and customer-service skills. We are both very happy with the service and our purchases we received.

It was a great experience as my instructor Michelle is very professional and nice, especially she explained a lot and demonstrated several times to make us understand better of the skills for each section, appriciate for her patience and shared many stories of her diving experience. THhe whole experience is fantastic, however if the visibility of the pool can be improved could be perfect.

Update September 2023: What a great experience! My daughter completed her open water certification dives with Instructor Ana Marie and Dive Master Nate. They were a fabulous team, very patient and professional but lots of enthusiasm! My daughter had a great time and looks forward to her next dive as a certified diver! Review July 2023: My daughter started her open water certification course with Scuba 2000 and had such a great experience with the confined water lessons. Her instructor, Laura, and Dive master, Eric, were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun. Everyone we met at this location so far, offered friendly and professional service, including Janelle, Therese, Nate, Siodon, Sue and Oz! Open water dives are next and I know my daughter is in good hands. Original post: My daughter went to Scuba 2000 for the Discover Scuba course and loved it. The instructor was very patient and knowledgeable, I think his name was Terry. We will likely book her certification training next!

My son and I had an amazing experience with scuba 2000 from the very first contact by email with Nazim, to the retail staff Moiz, to the whole other staff and the highlight: the nicest person ever, our instructors Nancy and her assistant Alison! We took our niece and nephew to do their Bubblemakers course at Scuba 2000 and the experience was so easy and welcoming end to end. The course isn’t offered by many scuba shops in Toronto so we were happy to have found it at one of the best shops in the city. Janelle and Sue were very helpful in getting us in and Terry was a phenomenal instructor! It was his first time teaching a Bubblemakers course but you wouldn’t know it. He was so patient with the kids and able to adjust to their age differences and different attention spans. He kept them both engaged and imparted so much knowledge. They were so comfortable and able to swim around and dive deeper at the end. The kids had a fantastic experience and we’re so excited to have more scuba aficionados in the family. Thank you Terry and Scuba 2000!

I've recently started going to Scuba2000 upon recommendation by another diver. The whole experience with them has been fantastic. They really take the time to understand my diving needs and even helped me understand how to navigate my Mares Dive computer better that I had purchased elsewhere. They have a great culture going and the events they host are top notch.

I wanted to do a full open water refresher course, as I got certified before Covid and with all the shutdowns and travel restrictions, it made it very difficult to be able to continue practising the scuba diving skills that I had learned during my open water course. After not being in the water for over 3 years, I booked a full open water refresher course, which consisted of doing all of the main scuba techniques in the pool and I was very happy that I did. My instructor Terry was absolutely amazing! He is very knowledgeable, patient and calm. Qualities that you definitely want in a scuba diving instructor. He made sure that we were able to fully demonstrate each of the different techniques and always made himself available before, during and after the sessions to ask for any further clarifications. I would highly recommend doing a course with Terry, as he works hard making you feel comfortable under the water, while making the learning fun.

We held our 11 years old son’s birthday party in Scuba 2000, We came across this idea at the first place because it’s close to our home and my son has never tried scuba dive before. It turns out it’s the best birthday party decision we have ever made. The staffs are friendly and considerate, the instructors are very patient and experienced with how to take care of these kids. The parents felt welcomed and safe. The kids became confident and started to enjoy it. We had a unique experience and a lot of fun. The party started at 7pm and we stayed late after 9:30pm. It was supposed to end at 9pm. The staffs are so nice that no one complained at all. The birthday cake and loot bags are just awesome! We’re considering taking course here next time.

Both the class and pool instructors where very professional and extremely attentive to the needs, learning and growth of each and every student in the class. I felt confident and knowledgeable at each and every step of my training. Scuba 2000 has many classrooms and its own pool right at the facility. I had visited about 10 different scuba schools and I chose Scuba 2000. I wouldn't go anywhere else other than Scuba 2000. Sales, Rentals, lessons and certifications all in one location provided by professional divers. You can't ask for anything more.

Just finished doing my open water diver license with them and I couldn't have had a better experience. The staff is like a family and they treat you like one. I did my open water dives up in Tobermory and it was well worth the trip for the clear water and with the wetsuit it wasn't cold at all. I made a couple new friends and purchased my equipment from them as well. The prices were the same or better than what I found online or other stores so its well worth it to buy all your stuff from the same shop and get the service to back it up.

Read This If You have Younger Kids (under 15) Our kids recently completed their certification at Scuba2000 and we're very pleased with the team and the training. It's awesome that they have their own pool ... this helps a lot with younger kids. If you need to go back to re-do some of the skills, it's easy. Overall, they're very flexible and very accommodating. Their goal is to help everyone pass and become good divers. If you have younger kids, here are my thoughts/advice: 1. Be prepared for the process to take longer than usual Their slogan is "learn to dive in a weekend". This means a half day classroom session and half day pool session for Saturday and Sunday. If you have a confident, active kid it might still happen in a weekend. However, if you have a kid that's a bit nervous or needs some time to "play around" and get comfortable with the gear and the pool before heading right into the skills and drills, then be prepared that your kid may not get all the pool skills completed in the two half day sessions. Doing all the pool skills in a weekend means knocking off one skill after another without a lot of time to play around. The big thing for most kids is clearing their masks and taking the mask off and putting it on under water. If your kid struggles with these things tell the instructor to slow things down and let them know that you're OK coming back for a third session to finish things up. Scuba2000 is very flexible and they have open pool nights (called Dive Team) during the week and you can likely arrange to go on one of those nights when an instructor is present to go through the skills that didn't get completed. If there are a lot of skills left to be completed, then you can ask about arranging a private pool session with an instructor. 2. Ask for an instructor that's good with kids This is very important! As with everything in life, not everyone is good at everything. The instructors we dealt with at Scuba2000 were all good, competent instructors. However, not all of them were good with kids. It takes a "kid-person" to help a nervous kid get comfortable and to introduce some fun into what is otherwise a fast paced session of learning one skill after another. A couple of the instructors we dealt with who were great with kids are Nancy Olmstead and Will Perre. I'm sure there are others as well. 3. Consider private lessons If you have three kids or you're also planning to do a PADI refresher course along with the kids, ask about doing private lessons. It doesn't cost much more and you get a much better experience. In a regular lesson your kids could be in with 5 or 6 adults that are probably going to learn the skills faster and have a different learning style. In private lessons, the instructor can adjust the pace and teach to your kids' learning style. It's the same thing with the Open Water dives (if you're planning to do those in Canada). Doing them privately gives you more flexibility and gives them more time to make sure your kids are successful. 4. Pick up learning package 3 weeks ahead of time The classroom lessons are not hard and most of the concepts behind diving aren't complicated. However, the classroom sessions are basically watching videos, doing knowledge reviews, and then doing the written test on the second day. There isn't a lot of time to discuss and go over things. And your kid needs to be pretty focused for the 3-hour sessions. To help your kid be more successful, it's a good idea to pickup the learning package 2-3 weeks ahead of time and work through it with your kids. You'll need at least 2 weeks of daily sessions to work through the book ... 3 weeks would be better. When your kid comes to the classroom sessions it will be a review and they'll be more successful on the written test. The folks at Scuba2000 advised us not to do the eLearning option. In the eLearning option, the classroom session is basically just to write the exam. There is no review and you don’t watch the videos.

I used Scuba2000 back in 2004 for my open water classroom training and returned for refresher skills practice yesterday. Milan, our dive instructor took us on time, reviewed all the skills required to get familiar with diving again after a 6 year break. He gave lots of opportunity to practice and gave feedback as necessary. Well done! I use Scuba2000 for all my diving needs.

I went in to look at BCs. I was unsure if I would be comfortable using a wing-style versus the typical stab jacket that I have used forever. They let me try one out in the pool, loaning me a wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and fins, (and even found me a towel!). Needless to say, I was impressed and was able to decide that indeed, the wing style would work out great for me as a photographer! Excellent advice and service!

Highly recommended! We checked out the Discover Scuba class and loved it. Oz and his assistant were super patient and supportive! The whole experience was just under 2 hours. There's a pool right in the building so it's very convenient. The intro class is a great way to find out if you'll enjoy Scuba so why not give it a try? Thanks team :)

A couple weeks ago I went there for the first time as they offer the refresher and pool practice. Janelle greeted me at the desk quite happily and shook my hand. I was also introduced to my instructor, Terry. I was his first student, and he also eagerly greeted me. Right from when I walked in I felt the family-like atmosphere. My dive session with Terry went amazing, he encouraged me to ask questions throughout, made me feel comfortable, was an excellent teacher, and especially if I needed to improve in an area, we would do it again until I was confident in my skills. I was told I am now dive-trip ready, and I can say with certainty my first trip, and any other courses or practices I elect to do moving forward will be with Scuba 2000!! Thank you so much for such an inviting and encouraging environment! - Lauren

Scuba 2000 was very professional and worked hard to accommodate our scheduling requests - I would absolutely recommend them.

Good course. Good people. Poor communication. Too many “troubles” with email.

A great place to enter into the world of scuba. A pool on-site, small classes, great instructors and a store filled with anything you need.

Amazing staff: helpful and informative. Helped wife and I buy excellent snorkeling gear! Staff had very practical and great tips for goggles and fins, we tried em out in the pool and it was just like they said! Would definitely return for all future snorkeling and scuba related things!!!

Did my dry suit certification here. The instructor was knowledgeable and experienced. The communication with the shop was lacking. I had to call multiple times to get information for the course for which I paid. After asking multiple times what to bring and what to wear, I was only told to come at the designated time and discuss everything with the instructor. The rental hood and gloves had holes in them when I came to try on the gear, I was told I'd get proper ones for the actual open water dive, but I got the same ones (with holes), which made diving in 5ºC water very uncomfortable. This is a fairly large shop, has an abundant inventory and a pool on premises. The prices are fair and you can try some things on in their pool (within reason).

We got a patient and strict instructor. I understand she had to speed up the course since visibility is very low under the pool, and students sometimes barely see her signs. Please clean the pool more frequently.

Great instructor Peter was thorough and patient, answered all questions we had. It helped having an instructor with the amount of experience he had. Great choice if you are interested in getting PADI certified. I’d recommend scuba2000 to anyone.

Highly Recommend! I have done discovery diving here, I was nervous, not feeling good at the time. I was ready to quit. However they encouraged me to give it a second try. They let me try for the second time for free and finally I felt much calmer and better. Then I decided to take the course. We have done our confined water dive here with Jim. He is a fantastic instructor who gave us lots of supports and encouragement. He is patient and explained everything in great details. We have had fun time with him. The staff in the shop are also very friendly and helpful. They even let you try on the mask and test in the pool before you buy it. It is great service. I would recommend my friends to learn diving here absolutely!

Got certified with Scuba 2000 back in 2012 and just recently did a refresher over a decade later with them. Same top tier quality of service, training and instruction across all experiences. Jim and Sue were awesome for the refresher at their facility. I also did 4 open water dives in Tobermory led by Milan and Nate, who were fantastic instructors and always ensured everyone was safe while still having a good time.

Did my Master Scuba Diver cert with S2K this summer and they were excellent from start to finish. Nasim set up all the specialties i wanted and moved things around numerous times to accommodate changes in my schedule. Dive instructors were top notch, especially Kyle who is not only a great instructor but an all around nice guy with a true passion for diving. Only downside is that their store is so well stocked that every time i went in there to pick up or drop off tanks i ended up buying things! Thanks for everything S2K, you are my go-to dive shop from now on.

My experience was awesome! They did an incredible job teaching us the basics of diving, and they were super helpful in sending us reminders about the course and things to bring to the pool. The instructors paid attention to each participant, and they made sure we were doing the exercises in the correct way. They also were very patient as some exercises were a bit more complex. It was a great experience! I am just missing my open water diving exercises (last part of the course), and I can't wait to start thar! 😊

Just travelled to Cozumel to complete advanced open water with Laura- as always, I had an absolute blast on this trip! We got to see the most stunning dive sites, incredible marine life, good food- and more importantly, I felt very safe and taken care of. Would highly recommend.
