I have had to bring my ring into this store whether it be for sizing, repair, cleaning, I receive the same inconsistent, nonchalant, dismissive treatment. When I brought the ring to be sized, the sales person measured my finger, assured me it would be back in the correct size and when it came back it was the wrong size, it was a 3 and I am a 4 and three quarters. No big deal except the sales person insisted this was the size I asked for, no, no it was not, annoying.. Second thing, my wedding was approaching, I went in to ask that it be cleaned up to sparkle its brightest and I was previously told it was sent out for, this salesperson insisted it is done in store. She disappeared for 30 seconds behind the counter and came back with it? It looked the exact same? Bizarre... Not even 1 year into having my ring, it has a halo around a larger diamond, I could tell a diamond in the halo near a corner had fallen out nearly immediately because it had a very sharp corner now, it was catching on a towel when I dried my hands, my shirt, and even to my naked eye I could see the empty socket on the corner. I was devastated that less than a year in, this rings falling apart. My husband had bought a warranty, this was not a big deal I assumed. Took the ring into this store, thinking I would be treated as a valued customer, how wrong was I! Showed it to the sales person and explained its been under a year and its falling apart, showed her and described where the small diamond had fallen out. She seemed to be focused on the centre stone, I told her at least 5 times, the centre stone is very clearly there and doesnt need repair ( it's a 1.5 carat diamond, its very obvious..), its a small diamond on the halos corner. She acted like she saw it, she had the magnifier in her hands, and agreed that the stone was gone. She then said that this wouldnt have happened to me if I was bringing it in for my agreed to inspections from when I purchased it, first of all, its an engagement ring. I obviously did not buy this ring myself, second of all my "agreed to 6 month inspection" perfectly coincided with when I had came in and asked them to clean it and re dip it for a my May wedding, so the fact that the sales person then did not do it or mention it despite me presenting her with the warranty documents is not my fault and I didnt appreciate her suggestion that it was something that was my fault. So fast forward two weeks, I get the call my ring is ready for pick up. My husband and I go to the mall, lord knows I didnt want to go alone and have more headaches with the sales people at this location. So the sales person hands it to me and to my extreme disappointment and I cant even say to surprise, because lets face it, they have a terrible track record with me at this point, the diamond is still missing. They did not even do the repair!!! I tell them as soon as I see it, it isnt fixed the diamond isnt there. The sales person who I dealt with, the one who sent it out for repair, was standing right there and as soon as she heard me say it isnt repaired, left to go to the washroom cause she knew I was going to be mad. My husband and I then stood there for a solid 25 minutes to argue with not one, or two, but THREE of the sales people who were all insisting it was repaired and said oh thats just a the prong youre seeing, oh its just how the edge looks, I continued to tell them no, its clearly an empty socket to the naked eye, and its extremely sharp! This sales person actually had the audacity to suggest I let it be sent out to be "filed down"!!!! I was not bending, I kept insisting this is a missing diamond. I didnt need to look through their magnifier it was very clear. My husband did look through the magnifier, and he also continued to insist, it was missing. After all of this push back from the sales people, finally the one girl gives in and again, lays the blame onto us by saying, "oh that isnt where you originally pointed to, we ll send it out again and Ill mark the ring with a red sharpie". Ridiculous, I feel bad my husband spent money here.

The return policy is a lie, they scratch your bought item by taking it to the room they have at the back and they come back and say it is used. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!! Maryam (their seller) is so rude, she did all this to the ring I bought.

Never recommend this location. My husband bought my engagement ring from here that is how I come here to shopping afterwards. I bought a pair of silver earrings. Second day the pin came off from the root point. I went back wanted to return. I was told there is no return in this store. Just replace. I am not happy with the quality they force me to keep them. Bought a necklace with pendent. The chain is very tinny. Very easy to break. Only one week. I went back to talk to the sales. A blondy senior woman told me need to buy a new chain. I asked how about the current one. She said with contemn, garbage. But it is Michael Hill’s garbage. Today I went to buy a new chain. There is a big board saying everything 25% off. I know yesterday chain was 40% off. But it is finished. The store manager told me we can do 25% off though. When I picked up one actually it doesn’t look good quality. The blondy came and said was 25 % off and checking out. The manager came told her this one no discount. I asked why blondy is exactly the attitude like last time. Because it is so cheap. I asked which one is 25% off? She was very unprofessional and said above 100$. She sounds like she was a richest lady in the world. Looks down her customers who pay her salary. What a garbage place. Entire team was trained to lie and treat customers as garbage if you don’t buy expensive items. NEVER go there. I had a very good experience in hill crest location. Since I moved so I go to Fairview Mall. I thought they would be the same. In fact NO NO NO. Here the Michael Hill is shame on Michael Hill. BTW, there are many nice chains in The Bay made in Germany are very good quality with rhodium. Cheaper than Michael Hill too. Very sweet service in there.I feel I am so blessed did not buy it in Michael Hill. I believe god trying to help me don’t get mistreated again

Rima at Michael Hill Fairview helped me find a find a silver chain I was looking for to wear some pendants that I have. She was very patient brought out several options and even gave me a discount upon cashing out. I highly recommend visiting her if you are looking for jewellery in the area.

I would give zero start if I can. Staff working there has lack of training and zero customer service. They are not aware of the current ongoing promotion that is offering both online and in-store. The staff there will not honour the discount to you despite the term online stated otherwise. They were trying to deceive me into paying the normal price and gave me such a hard time, making me look like I was lying and being difficult in front of the other customers in the store. Save yourself the headache and go to other Michael Hills locations like Markville mall, where I had received much better customer than this terrible store.

My fiancé and I went to Michael Hill Fairview 2 years ago looking for a ring and we had a terrible experience with the Managers at the time, we went back and forth for my ring sizing for months until this year we started dealing with Shubnam who was AMAZING! Her knowledge and customer service was amazing. She is kind, funny, knowledgeable about the store and jewelry. Now my rings fit so well and will be a pleasure seeing her again 😊 So if you ever visit this location, be sure to visit with Shubnam.

I love this mall its so beautiful it remind me of my hometown. The mall is very clean and you can find just about anything you need even little snacks and treat. So pleasant

I bought many jewelry from Michael hill and today visit made me very uncomfortable. I come here because I live across the street. Everytime I visited I always get great service from them and today an old asian lady with short hair and glasses helped me and she made me really uncomfortable. I dont want to say what she said to me, it's just unprofessional. We all have different lifestyle.. Who are you to tell me what to do and made me feel guilty? I saw her everytime at the store and I tried to avoid her as much I can but today she is the only associate available. I still recommend to come here and hopefully you get shabam or someone else to help you with your purchase.

I've been at this store several times. The staff are amazing bc of the manager, Sumi. She is super professional and exactly knows how to treat her customers and make them feel happy and satisfied. They sell diamond rings with warranties and maintenance packages without keeping a record in file. Told me if i no longer have the receipt my diamond ring no longer has the warranty. They expect that you keep a piece of paper for the rest of your life. I was told "you should have taken a picture". Waiting to hear from customer service.

I stopped by the store today and got myself a pearl necklace and a pair of pearl earrings. Dora and Judy helped me and I have to say they were super kind,professional and knowledgeable. Even though I only bought the most basic jewelries from this store(my total spent was under 100), they still treated me like a valuable customer! I’ve been shopping multiple times from this brand and I have to say this brand definitely deliver great customer service experience consistently. I went to this location because it was close to home. I purchased and engagement ring from Shabnam who was just fantastic. I already knew what I wanted from a previous visit with her as well. My fiancé was quite adamant of what she wanted and i wanted to give her exact that. the process from start to finish went smooth. the ring happened to be on sale which was a bonus and the financing went smooth. overall i am very please with Shabnam and the whole store in general, They have a great selection and its all very unique. This dark skin Indian female gave me a hard time to make a return. I had a customer service representative from Australia on hold to help me out. The representative mentioned I would be able to make the return with a electronic receipt. However the lady in the store seemed very inexperienced, she only wanted a printed receipt which was the same as the electronic one. I traveled very far, Since this store is highly rated. I don't recommend this particular store.

I truly enjoyed my experience with Mary yesterday evening. She was very knowledgeable and professional and helped me pick 3 beautiful pairs of hoop earrings. She also cleaned/polished my engagement and wedding rings at no cost. I would recommend her to anyone visiting this store.
