Great space for dogs to run and socialize. Tons of space, clean and well kept. Very well behaved dogs and nice humans as well. Plenty of parking for easy access. I liked that there were gates on each side making it very efficient. Worth checking out.

It is a great dog park as it offers five completely different sections for the dogs. The main area with the entrance closest to the parking lot is for dogs of all sizes. There is also a dedicated small dog area and three multi-use areas surrounding the main two. Additional areas are for active dogs, older dogs and dogs that need their own space and are not necessarily comfortable in a big crowd. And they are all labelled very well with good signage. The layout of the whole park is well thought out and there are two watering stations one in the main area and one in the area for active dogs. Generally speaking the main area is for the brave of heart as it is normally heavily populated with a mix of individual owners and commercial dog walkers, as always some people are more conscientious than others but it always seems friendly. If you really want peace of mind it is well worth walking down the right side of the park until you reach one of the auxiliary areas as they tend to offer more privacy.

This is one the best dog parks I have taken my Loki to. He is a big dog but very shy. There is a lots of space, the park is divided in different sections depending on large medium or small sized breeds. It’s very maintained spot with a lot of fun options for our pets. There is parking too which is not overally busy.

Absolute heaven for your dog. Well worth the drive from the opposite part of town just to visit. Several off leash dog zones which are spacious and well maintained. Categorized into several groups including small and large dogs as well as active dogs. The closest you can get to bringing your dog to the middle of a football field and letting them go. Lots of free parking and other attractions like a musuem and the actual Memorial park with lots of well maintained trails and a creek.

This park is by far the largest dog park I’ve seen. There’s a separate section for the small dogs and the bigger dogs which is great! Wally absolutely loved running around. There’s a lot of grass and the amount of mud/dirt areas are minimal. There’s also a fountain for you to fill up your bowls for your dogs. The wooden fences are reinforced with a metal mesh so if you have a tiny dog, he won’t get stuck or out!

The separate fenced areas are a great idea, in theory. However in practice the fences are too low and large dogs just jump over them and disturb the little dogs. The worst part about this park is the people - irresponsible owners who can't control their dogs. Almost every time I come here I witness an altercation between an aggressive dog and another dog. And I have a small dog who gets peed on by large dogs who hop the fence into the small dog area. If you can't control your dog and your dog is hopping fences, DO NOT COME TO THIS PARK. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME.

I have a big dog but he's very timid and since coming to this park he has become more anxious. One man brings his Dobermans and doesn't care to discipline them. These dogs have attacked my dog making him even more anxious and I've heard numerous people tell me that their dog has also been attacked by those dogs. Luckily there are many sections, so we usually just take him to a spot that has little to no dogs. Other than that I love this dog park and when you explore Thompson Park you can walk your dog in the wooded area which has a little river that my dog likes to jump in. All in all a great Park other than irresponsible dog owners.

Very nice dog park. So many sections to meet the different needs of dogs. Love it. Since the park is open until 11pm, I wish there were at least one light source.

Great park, huge areas and owners trend to use them appropriately. The after work bunch are good, but the noon people are very nice! If you have a pup you want to socialize, bring during lunch time if you can.

Great dog park, and my dog loves it. Has three seperate sections, one for small dogs. This was great for my puppy's first visit to a park, as she was scared of big dogs. Many frequent visitors from the neighborhood, and my dog has already made some friends after two visits! Any dog would love this place.

Took our 3 mo old pup there for his 1st social experience. He really loved it. The separate area for small dogs made me feel much more comfortable. Lots of friendly people, seating, and shade.

Amazing, so much fun for my little Rosie. She had a wonderful time. I was comfortable having her socializing because all the small dogs were together and the big ones had their own space. All the owners were very welcoming to the New comers and they were nor afraid to share tips or have their pets share their toys or have fun.

Park is excellent for dogs. Generally well maintained and has several off leash areas. Unlike many others if you have an issue with dogs fighting there are several areas each for a dogs specific needs (one zone for less social, one for high energy, small dogs etc). Overall I would highly recommend this park.

An excellent place with several well-kept areas for dogs to play. Large fenced sections divided by size of dog, as well as for active dogs. Friendly people and great environment for off-leash fun with a furry family member. Highly recommend visiting, and not just for the dog park.

Very nice park well kept and clean. The only drawback is some people in the large dog area think of the dog park as a social gathering and let their dogs become aggressive with other dogs

5 pens. All have grass. 2 have a water fountain. 4 have large trees for shade. 1 pen for small dogs. Largest pen can be rowdy, and I avoid it if possible. Walk into the pens is considerable, especially if you park in the main parking lot. Not many shaded parking spots.

Several divided sections for different types and sizes of dogs, great picnic area, nice path to walk along, good park for children to play and a nice soccer field. Could be better maintained.

Awesome dog park, it has multiple separate areas for big dogs, small, active and quiet. Owners for the most part seem good.

Huge yards, almost too big if your dogs really like to run (like mine) and you need to stay near them. Owners don't often pick up after their dogs.

I love the different sections for dogs based on size, play style (ex. active, quiet, etc.). It's also nice that it's in a spacious park where you can gather with friends and/or family while your dogs can have fun as well.

I really can't believe any of these 5 star positive reviews of this dog park. I was a frequent visitor here until I realized it was not appropriate for a healthy dog's development. Every single time there was at least one dog showing aggression and there's often verbal fights and yelling between dog owners. Compared to other dog parks and an overall standard, there's a significant amount of dog owners who cannot control their dogs properly here. Remember, throwing your dog into a high excitement unstructured environment with a bunch of misbehaved dogs is not healthy socialization for dogs.

I've always loved this park and when I heard they had the dog park, I had to check it out! Very large off-leash areas for both large & small dogs. Outside of that, they've got a large play park for the kids, nice picnic areas.

Nice dog park . Unfortunately some of the dog owners are inconsiderate as in Not picking up after their dogs . Seems they only go there to socialise with others and don't pay attention to where their dogs are and what they're doing . I see this almostevery time we visit the park . All in all it's a great dog park to take dogs to as well as walking around the other parts of Thomson Park . I give this a 3.5 out of 5 only because of some inconsiderate dog owners . The park itself is 5 out of 5 in my mind and I will continue to take my 2 dogs there whenever possible. Just have to watch out for the many doggie land mines .

One of the best beautifully designed parks i have seen in Ontario. Theres so much space for them to run around and designated areas for big and small dogs. Only problem is that, not everyone follows the rules. They would bring tgeir big dogs in the small breed area. Other than that, its a great park filled with friendly folks.

The off-leash dog areas at Thomson Memorial Park are very large. Usually there are only a few friendly dogs and people having fun there at any given time. Please enter the first parking lot entrance north of Lawrence Ave. on the east side of Brimley Ave. for several different fenced, off-leash dog areas.
