The castles provide a spectacular view over the Neckar river. The best one is the Hinterburg, the Mittelburg has no access because it is in private ownership. The Schadeck castle was also closed. Parking lot is beneath the path leading to the Hinterburg.

Great opportunity to get right up to a castle and easier access to the foot trails behind it

Very impressive castle. Since it is privately owned, you can only view it from the outside. We recommend climbing from the town via the Schloßsteige and then the Burgenweg.

Amazing view and great place for hiking. It is one of the four castles/towers along hiking route. Tower is still in good condition and you can climb to see the river as well as the city.

Not open to public! Only for events. You can not see anything inside. To bad that from 4 castels only 2 can be visited.

Nice castle! Don't know what it looks like inside. Someone lives there.

It is a private property, so there is not very much to see. However, it is a nice walk and there are two other castle ruins nearby to viaist6

Free, breathtaking, unforgettable. What more do you want? An amazingly well-preserved ruin with a walk-in keep. The information boards tell the story of these stones that survive from a bygone era. I visit the castle often, it is always beautiful.

Very nice town just aside Neckar river. Some time you feel like you want stay there for long time as it doesn't have much rush comparing with other cities and town
